FROST - Walter Edward. Born on March 11, 1911. Passed away on April 9, 2000. A 20 year resident of Delta, B.C. For the past two years he was given care and love in the Findlay Pavilion at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock. Walter was married to Mary Frost his partner who he deeply loved for 68 years. A Chief Petty Officer during WWII and an avid gardener. Walter loved his home. He is survived by one son Jim (Ingrid), two grandsons Jamie (Donna) and Jason and his fiancee Erin, sister Marge Geldart, two brothers Frank and Bert, sister-in-law Nellie Turner who were always in his thoughts and many other family and friends. No service will be held. Inurnment of his cremated remains will be held in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Edmonton, AB. "We shared many things you and I on that long and tough road - you would say. GRANEY - Jeanette Alice, only 56 years old, after a courageous four year battle with ovarian, eye, skin and bone cancer. She always bravely and optimistically fought onwards, encouraging others to carry on with her! Born November 22, 1943 in Vancouver passed away April 14, 2000 surrounded and cared for by her loved ones. Predeceased by her mother Alice, 1994 and father John 1972. She is survived by her loving family, twin brother Burce Graney, sister-in-law Judy, loving niece Rhona and caring nephew Jeremy, of Yellowknife, N.W.T. Also her beloved and devoted sister and friend Linda, favourite brother in-law Brian Harvey, adoring nephew Aaron, loving nieces Laura and Karen of Richmond. She considered all her nieces and nephews her children too! Also good friends and neighbours and homestay students from Korea and Japan! Jeanette was a faithful and loyal employee of The Hudsons Bay for 31 years, in the downtown fabric department, Champlain Mall Store Bay Candy and Wool and Metrotown Bay China Dept., always putting customer service first and foremost! HESCHEL - Margaret. Born on August 29, 1905. Passed away peacefully April 14, 2000 in Vancouver after a brief illness. Predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Nicholas (1977). HOLMES - Dawna-Rae Bradford passed away peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital, Friday, April 14th, 2000 after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. She was born March 14th, 1948 - a beautiful birthday gift for her Mom. She is survived by her loving father and mother, Ray and Thelma of Westbank, formally of Vancouver; her brother and friend, Bob (Carol); nephews Bradley and Matthew of Delta, B.C.; special aunts Sybil Coleman of Victoria, Adah (Jim) Butchart of Edmonds, Washington; uncle Harold Norris of Victoria and Tom (Vera) Holmes of Vancouver; many cousins in the US and Canada. At the time of her passing she was employed by Canada Post for 28 years and was a Superintendent of loading docks and trucks. Dawna-Rae graduated from John Oliver School in 1966. She was a past Honored Queen of Jobes Daughters #12 and Chapter Sweetheart of Beaver Chapter Demolay. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19th, 2000 from the Chapel at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 - 72nd Avenue, Surrey, B.C. MURPHY - Robert Shane passed away peacefully on January 10, 2001 with his loved ones by his side at Burnaby Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Shane was born March 19, 1951 in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan.
