Walter LaVerne Ross, 80 years old, passed away quietly on Sunday, September 21, 2003 at Nicola Health Center, Merritt, B.C. His final words expressed his deep love and concern for his family. Born October 9, 1923 in Aldergrove, B.C., son of Raymond and Edith Ross.
He leaaves behind his loving wife Fae and six children, twenty-one grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services in his memory will be held on Saturday, September 27th at 2461 Quilchena Ave., Merritt, B.C. The viewing will be held at 1:00 p. m. with the funeral following at 2:00 p. m. Interment will be at Pineridge Cemetery in Merritt.
In lieu of flowers, people could donate to the Humanitarian Aid fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Donald Glenn born August 6, 1950 in Mission. Glenn passed away peacefully on September 21, 2003 at MSA Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer.
Glenn was raised on Matsqui Prairie.
He is survived by his son Jesse; daughters Sarah and Tammy; brothers Garry (Linda), Brian, Ian (Linda), Daniel (Gill), and James (Doris); sisters Sharon (Gerry) and Charleen (Kim); his mother Elizabeth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bertha S. Hamm (nee Neufeld) December 6, 1920 - September 21, 2003, went to be with her Lord at the age of 82 years. She is survived by her loving family; Husband Leonard, four sons, Emil (Anna), Homer (Ivana), Bernard (Cathy) and Calvin (Rhonda) and two daughters Ruby (Larry) Reynolds and Pauline (Gary) Johnson, eleven grandchildren; Raphael (Nicole), Shishona (Les) Austin, Renata, Corey (Stephanie), Troy, Shawn, Amanda (Michael) Donoghue, Stacey, Philip, Kyle and Kurtis and four great-grandchildren.
Bertha was predeceased by parents George and Lena Neufeld, brothers Walter, Thomas and Adolph and sister Ruth.
Family still living; Joe (Jeanette), Zelma (Corry) Klassen, Trudie (Walter) Schroeder and Paul (Edna).
A Celebration service for Bertha will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2003 at 2:00 p. m. at Northside Community Church at 33507 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission, B.C.

DOERKSEN, FRANK J. - Thursday, 07 Aug 2003
Frank J. Doerksen born October 13, 1916 in the Ukraine, passed away August 7, 2003 at 86 years of age. His last place of residence was the Menno Home. He was predeceased by his eldest son L. Frank Doerksen in 2001, 5 sisters, 2 brothers and 2 grandchilden.
He is survived by his wife Erna of over 64 years; children Judy (Ron) Hunter, Margaret (Albert) Rondeau, Dave (Lynn) Doerksen and Jon Doerksen; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 sister and 1 brother. At 7 years of age, Frank and his family left the Ukraine and immigrated to Steinbach, Manitoba. In 1947 Frank packed up his wife and first 3 children, moving to the Fraser Valley. He established himself in farming and construction in the Abbotsford community. Living a life of dedicated service to God and his fellow man, he was active in his church and other non-profit societies. Leading choir and any other singing activities were his special joys.
In 1985 Frank retired to Keremeos, B.C. where he remained active in service to his beloved God in the church. Frank and Erna travelled extensively during the following years, helping various church groups build their meeting houses.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wed. August 13, 2003 at 11:00 a. m. from Ross Road Community Church at 3160 Ross Rd., Aldergrove, B.C.

Patricia Whitehead, born March 16, 1947 passed away at home August 5, 2003.
Pat was highly esteemed and loved by her staff at Mission Health Unit and others within the Fraser Health Authority. She will be greatly missed by colleagues and the community that she served as a public health nurse for the past 18 years.

WANNAMAKER, FLORENCE (MATTIE) MARTHA - Tuesday, 05 Aug 2003
Florence (Mattie) Martha Wanamaker (nee Woods) passed away peacefully on August 5, 2003 at MSA Hospital, Abbotsford, B.C. at the age of 76 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Long Branch, Ontario on May 22, 1927 to Joseph Wilson Woods and Marion Florence (Nelson) Woods. Accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Personal Saviour in her teen years, followed His Commandment and was baptized in the Nottawasaga River, Hockley Valley, Orangeville, Ontario in 1946.
Married Earle Nelson Wanamaker October 16, 1948 and became his partner and support in his many church ministries in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Mattie will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humour, love of music, dedication to her family, commitment to her husband and her desire to be found by her Lord.
She was predeceased by her infant son, David Neal Howard, her sister Norma (Lloyd) Irvine (both deceased) and her grandson Andrew Wanamaker.
She is survived by her husband, Earle; her two sisters Louise (Clifford) Wanamaker deceased) and Jo (Eric) Beard deceased); her 5 children Eric (Barb), Ivan (April), Jo-Anne (Paul), Janis (Bob); Lynn (Cheryl), 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Sunday School Mission (Manitoba), your local church missions program or a charity of your choice.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Anne. She left us on August 4, 2003 after a very courageous battle with cancer at the early age of 59.
Anne will always be remembered with love by her husband Adrian, her daughter Marjon, her sister Inny, her brother Jan and extended family and friends.

Roderick James Fraser, peacefully at Langley, B.C. on Sunday, August 3, 2003, aged 87 years. Predeceased by his first wife Chris in 1980.
Rod is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife Eileen; his son Duncan and his wife Robyn; his sister Mary Phillpotts; his step-son Jim and his wife Linda; his grandchildren Rory, Colin, Leanna (Blake) and Jamie (Tracy); great-grandchildren Landon and Thane; his speical nieces Tena and Rori.
Rod will be sadly missed by his many friends in both Tsawwassen and Mt. Lehman areas. A proud Vancouver-born Canadian, Rod served in the R. C. A. F. during WW11, where he was twice Mentioned in Dispatches. He worked in the aviation industry from the 1950's to the early 1980's, with C. P. Airlines, Queen Charlotte Airlines, Okanagan Helicopters, Deltaire Industries and Highland Helicopters.
He was a longtime member of the Quarter Century in Aviation Club.
Rod will be laid to rest at Boundary Bay Cemetery in Tsawwassen, at 2:00 p. m. on Friday, Aug. 8. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 2:00 p. m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, at Mt. Lehman United Church, 6256 Mt. Lehman Road North. Rev. Ben Taylor will officiate. For those desiring, donations made in Rod's memory, to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be most appreciated. Mildred Currie-Johnson (Hawke), born March 8, 1915, of Abbotsford, passed away peacefully at Mabel Lake, Enderby, B.C. on Saturday, August 2, 2003.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gilbert, former pastor of St. Andrews
United Church, Enderby and eight sons; Jerry (Dominque), Leagh (Margaret), James (Carolyn), Daniel, Murray (Lois and grandson Tristan), David, Paul, Glen (Debbie), granddaughters Leticia (Joel), Alicia and great-grandchildren Rory and Riley (Riley born August 2, 2003).
Born and raised in Victoria, living in Vancouver in her 20's, she met Gilbert, an RCAF officer and married on July 4, 1942. They lived in Vulcan, Alta., Manitoba, Enderby, Haney, Fernie, Salmon Arm and Abbotsford, B.C.
We have that confidence that her unforgettable beauty of mind and spirit will be "a thing of beauty and a joy forever".

Zoltan Ban passed away Friday, August 1, 2003 to be with the Lord, at the age of 81 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth. He is survived by two sons, Tom and Ed and many relatives in Europe.

Ricky George Kiss passed away on July 31, 2003 in 100 Mile House, B.C. at the age of 43 years. He is survived by his loving family, son William Ricky Kiss of Simcoe, Ontario, mother Shirley Kiss of Abbotsford, father George (Viola) Kiss of Wolsey, Saskatchewan, brother James Kiss of Abbotsford, brother Robert Kiss and nephew Ethan Kiss of Mt. Lehman and sister Lisa Unrau (Reg), nephew Matthew and niece Ashlee of Abbotsford; step-sister Yvonne Munroe and niece Willow, nephew Telasyn; step-sister Dianey Gratto and nieces Brandy, Amanda, nephew Christopher; step-sister Jeanine (Harold) Koeltgen and niece Eva; step-brother Arwin Vanness and many uncles, aunts and cousins in Hungary, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba.
Ricky was a member of the Army Cadets as a youth and subsequently entered the military at the age of 17. He served with the Princess Patricia's Light Infantry in Calgary, Alberta and the Royal Canadian Regiment in London Ontario as a mechanic. He left the military in 1987.
A Graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 6 at 11:00 a. m. at Hazelwood Cemetery, Abbotsford, B.C.
