MEIKLE, MYONA DEE - Thursday, 11 Dec 2003
Ms. Myona Dee Mielke, late of Abbotsford, B.C. passed away on December 11, 2003 at the age of 58 years at MSA Hospital surrounded by family.
She is survived and will be lovingly missed by her daughter Korrena Mielke of Whistler, B.C., her mother and father, Emily & Rueben Stroshein of Abbotsford, B.C. her sisters Ruby Christianson of Abbotsford, Uenda Duzic of Alberta, Nancy Lair of Chilliwack, B.C., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by Korrena's father Jerry Mielke of Sechelt, B.C.
She loved her family & friends and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She has touched many lives and we miss and love her dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at 3:00 p. m. from the Free Presbyterian Church at 18790 58th Avenue in Cloverdale with Rev. Ian Goligher officiating. Burial will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Society.

Pauline Margaret Dunstan passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2003 at Mission Memorial Hospital.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband Archie Cymbaluk and her parents Michael and Elsie Brady. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Steven Cymbaluk; sisters Stella, Susan, Carol, Mary and Maureen; brothers Michael, Ray, Steven and Graham; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pauline had been a volunteer with the Salvation Army.
A Service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Wong and the second floor nurses at Mission Memorial Hospital.

Bessie Roxana Rudyk born September 25, 1901, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on December 10, 2003 at age 102. She is survived by husband Bill Rudyk; sons David (Joan), Gerry (Wendy); daughter Shirley (Ken); eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Bessie will be remembered for her positive outlook, her selfless attitude, her service to others and her faith in the Lord.
A Graveside service will be held at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14644 72 Avenue, Surrey, on Monday, December 15, 2003 at 11:00 a. m. followed by a Memorial Service at 2:30 p. m. at the Fhurch of Nazarene, 2390 McMillan Road, Abbotsford. Adolf Vriezen passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Dec. 10, 2003 at the age of 79 years. He left behind his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Brendina, his five children (spouses), twenty grandchildren and numerous friends. We will deeply miss Papa.

Florence Margaret Waldie, passed away peacefully at MSA Hospital on December 10, 2003 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her loving husband Roy, 2 sons Alan (Susan) and Bruce (Brenda), grandchildren; Gordon (Patty), Barbara (Michael Paul), Colin (Stacey) and Danielle (Jeremy), 5 great-grandchildren, Thalia, Ethan, Emma, Sarah and Emily and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service was held on Monday, December 15, 2003 at 1:00 p. m. at the Calvin Presbyterian Church, 2597 Bourquin Crescent East, Abbotsford, B.C. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the B.C. Heart and Stroke Fondation will be greatly appreciated.

Predeceased by her husband Cornelius in 1988.

Marie Armitstead passed away peacefully in Courtenay, B.C. on December 9th, 2003 aged 94 years. Marie was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1985, her 2 brothers Herman and Eiling Kramer, and 3 brothers-in-law Tony (Molly), Bill and Kit (Clara Armitstead). She is survived and will be lovingly missed by her daughters; Marquerite (Darwin) Baker of Innisfail, AB, Mary Ellen (David) Johnston of Sechelt, and Roberta (Robert) Russell of Saratoga, B.C., her grandchildren; Patricia McMahon of Winnipeg, Ben (George) Edwards of Strathmore, AB, Darel (Kelly) Baker of St. Albert, AB, Carolyn (Kerry) George of Erskine, AB, Chris Johnston of Vancouver, Greg (Tanya) Johnston of Milwaukee, Wis., Ryan Russell of Richmond, and Leanne Russell of Burnaby, her 8 great-grandchildren; Robert, Patrick and Benjamin McMahon, Morgan and Nicole Baker, Eric and Kurt George and Saryn Edwards, her 2 sisters-in-law Dorothy Kramer and Marg McLeod, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, as well as relatives in England and the Netherlands. Marie was very active in the 4H in Langley where she was leader of the Garden Club and assisted her husband in the Beef Club. She was also very active in the Old Age Pensioners in Abbotsford. She loved her home, yard and family.
A memorial service will be held in the lower mainland in early January. Donations in Marie's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

Mrs. Ellen Snyder (nee Harder) late of Abbotsford passed into the presence of the Lord December 7, 2003 at the age of 89 years at MSA Hospital. She was born August 9, 1914 in Alsask, Saskatchewan.
She is survived by Lloyd, her loving husband of 57 years, her brother-in-law Clare, sister-in-law Jean and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Marius Hansen, mother Anna Marie Nielsen and brother Paul Hansen.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2003 at 1:00 p. m. at Immanuel Fellowship Baptist Church at 2950 Bluejay Street, Abbotsford with pastor John Bonham officiating.
Interment to follow at Valleyview Memorial Gardens, Surey, B.C. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gideons.

Eva Matus, a resident of Mission since 1942, born Dec. 24, 1904 passed away Dec. 7, 2003.
Eva was predeceased by her husband Joseph, son, Robert, daughter Irene, granddaughters, Sheila and Caroline.
Survived by sons Emanuel (JoAnn), Ted (Georgina), daughters, Louise (Sandy), Vicki (Don), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 12th at 11:00 a. m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 32550 7th Ave., Mission, B.C.

Reverend Jacob J. Dyck, late of Menno Terrace, Abbotsford, passed away on Monday July 16, 2007 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by his wife Helena Dyck of 59 years, his siblings John (Mary) Dyck and Martha (Bob) Holliday, his youngest daughter Lois Dyck, his son in law Les Henderson, and his grandson Nathaniel Dyck. Survived by his sibling Mary (Art) Magnus; his 2 daughters Sharon (Donald) Fry and Adeline (Hans) Fast; and his son Paul (Carol) Dyck; his 16 grandchildren Janine (Alain) Laplante, Cara (Sig) Birkholz, Konrad (Carrie) Fast, Christl (Chas) Setchell, Nicholas (Diana) Dyck, Matthew (Kareen) Fry, Jordan (Jen) Fry, Eryn Fry; and his 7 great-grandchildren Philip Birkholz, Daniel Birkholz, Kendra Fast, Hunter Dyck, Logan Fry, Sharla Offenhammer (Fry) and Kalina Offenhammer (Fry).
Reverend Jacob Dyck was retired at the time of his death, having spent much of her adult life as a missionary to India and Nepal with WEC International, Pastoring at Brookswood MB; Manager of Herbert Seniors Home; Chaplain at Tabor Manor, husband, father, a counselor and confidant, and a constant source of encouragement to his wife and family, and many friends and extended family members. He was an active member of Central Heights Church until he was unable to attend in recent years.
Graveside and memorial services were held Thursday, July 19, 2007. Burial was at Maclure Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers are being made to WEC International.

Gary suddenly went to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at 55 years old. Gary was predeceased by his father George Alfred Fisher. Left behind to celebrate Gary's life is his beloved wife of 31 years Karen, his loving children Lindsay, Ashley and Shaun, his adorable grand­children Tia and Kayla, mother Marie Chasson, mother-in-law Gertrude Krause, and many, many extended family and friends. He was a joyful good hearted man, full of life with ambitious plans for the future dedicated to his family and his God. Gary was a helicopter maintenance engineer, a career that took him around the world and connected him professionally and personally to many interesting people of whom many are friends to this day. Gary will be greatly missed by all.
Public visitation is at 11:00 am, burial to follow at 12:00 noon. Celebration of his life is at 1:00 pm, all at South Abbotsford Mennonite Brethren Church, 32424 Huntingdon Rd., Abbotsford. B.C.

YAMASHIRO, Rose Sakimi (nee Nikaido) - Sunday, 15 Jul 2007
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on Sunday July 15 at the age of 66. Rose will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her husband of 40 years, Hiroo, who never left her side during her illness; her three children Laura (Thomas), Lisa (Anthony) and Craig (Lisa); and her four grandchildren Kaori, Julia, Emily-Rose and Dana. Rose was born on February 20, 1941, in Mission B.C., the youngest of 12 children. She was a kind, beautiful, generous soul who spread joy wherever she went.
A viewing will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Sunday, July 22 from 3-5 pm. Funeral service will be on Monday, July 23 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Chapel.

Florence “Lilian” passed away on July 13, 2007 in Mission, B.C. at the age of 91 years. Lilian was born in Brandon, Manitoba on September 25, 1915. Predeceased by husbands William Cox (1963) and Thomas Forsythe Crawford (1992). She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Joy Cox and partner, Margaret Peake; nephews and nieces Tom, Billy, Diane Margaret Lynn, Joan, Alex, Margaret Rosilee and many grand nephews and nieces.
Our special thanks to the staff of Grand Street Lodge for their extraordinary and thoughtful care of Lilian.
A service of remembrance will be held on July 20, 2007 at 11:00 am at All Saints Anglican Church at 33077 2nd Avenue, in Mission, with Reverend Sharon Salomons officiating. Donations in Lilian’s name may be made to Mission Community Services or All Saints Anglican Church (Mission).
