Affectionately known as "Ma", Amar Kaur Braich left us peacefully on August 24 to climb the "golden ladder" to be with her predeceased loved ones. Amar Kaur Braich was a well respected and long standing pillar of the Indo-Canadian community.
The loss of our beloved "Ma" has left an emptiness that words cannot describe, one that will never be forgotten and is irreplaceable. Although she is no longer with us in person, she will forever remain in our thoughts and in our hearts. She will be sadly missed by all of her friends and family.
She was predeceased by husband Kehar Singh, son Jagdish and brother Paul. She is survived by sons Jasmer Sher (Surinder) and Ken (Danni), daughter-in-law Jeet Kaur Braich, daughters Jaswant (Gurdev Chahal), Satwant (Pawittar Ghuman) and Mohinder (Ranjii Bath), brothers Nachattar and Balwinder (Sukhminder) Sidhu, sisters Mohinder Dhaliwal and Gurdev Gill, and 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral services will be held in Abbotsford, B.C. on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 12:00 noon at the Abbey Arts Centre, 2329 Crescent Way, followed by prayer services at Mission Gur Sikh Temple at 2:30 pm.
BILLION, Norman - Friday, 24 Aug 2007
Norman passed away August 24, 2007 in a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born in Floriana, Malta on April 5, 1962.
Norm's passing is a huge loss to those who knew and loved him. He was young at heart and full of character. He will be especially missed by his daughter Amanda. He will also be missed by his parents Patricia and Joseph Billion, brothers Chris and Steven and sister Juliette, as well as other family and friends. He was a great father, brother and son.

Violet Benson passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 in Abbotsford at age 94 years. She is survived by her 5 sons, Harold (Marilyn) of Kamloops, Pat (Anne) of Kamloops, Dave (Rita) of Burns Lake, Howard (Louise) of Abbotsford, and Bruce (Genevieve) of Quebec; 1 daughter Marilyn (Jack) Oliarny of Smithers; 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Violet was predeceased by her husband Oliver Frederick Benson in 1967.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 2:00 pm in Hatzic Cemetery, Mission, B.C.

Evelyn Rosalie, born July 26, 1951, passed away August 21, 2007.

It is with shock and sadness we relay the news that Gene passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2007 as the result of a massive heart attack. He was predeceased by his wife, of 57 years, Elsie in 2006.
A celebration of Gene’s life will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2007 from 2:30 - 4:30 pm in the Amenities Room at Regency Park, 3170 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford.

On Tuesday, August 21, following a brave fight with kidney disease, at age 79, passed away peacefully to join husband John and sons Robert and Lenny.

Survived by brother Wilfred (Terry) and sister Lorraine (Ron) and their families.

Ingram, John Herbert, March 1917 - July 2003, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born and raised in Point Grey (now Vancouver); attended Maple Grove and Magee High School.
He worked for many years in real estate and associated businesses in Vancouver and North Vancouver.
John was predeceased by his son Donald.
He is survived by his wife Hazel and sons Phillip (Marion), David and daughter-in-law Penny; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
At John's request, no formal service will be held, but for those desiring, donations in John's memory to the B.C. Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

John P. Martens, late of Abbotsford, British Columbia, passed into the presence of his Lord in the early hours of Monday, June 30, 2003. He was born March 2, 1911 in Alexanderwohl, Ukraine to Peter P. Martens and Helena Wieler Martens.
He was a long time resident of the Abbotsford area and earned his living as a private entrepreneur in gravel and soil hauling.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2002 in the Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church, 2719 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford.
He was predeceased by his parents and siblings; David, Peter, Helen and Susie as well as his first wife, Sara and his daughter, Mary. He leaves to mourn his wife Emilie, children; Viola (Ken) Klassen, Beverley (Jake) Schroeder and Trudy (Gerald) Janzen along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eric Ernest Douglas, passed away on June 30, 2003 at MSA Hospital in Abbotsford, B.C. Born December 14, 1927, he lived a full life for 75 years. He was a good husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Surviving is his wife June, 4 children Lloyd Douglas (Martha), Carol Ogden, Sharon Teigland (Gary), Gwen Wilkie (David), 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 1 brother, Robert Cichocki. He was loved deeply by his family, and has gone to be with the Lord.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 4 at 1:00 p. m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3845 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Gideon's Bible Society.

Paul Norman Hanson passed away on June 28, 2003 at the age of 82 in Abbotsford, B.C. He was born September 20, 1920 in McCreary, Manitoba.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Jean; dear children Heather (John), Joe (Judy), Tim (Ele), Glen (Sandra), Peggy (Daryl); grandchildren Karen (Ramon), Sandy (Jeff), Kelly (Jeremy), Drew, Jessica, Brodie, Kelsey; great-grandchildren Sofia, Olivia, Evan & Emily. Will also be deeply missed by brother Owen (Pat), sister Pearl McLean and other friends and family.
Paul served with the RCAF during WW11 on Eastern Air Command as a navigator. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Paul worked for 31 years with Consolidated Bathurst in Grand Mere and Montreal, Quebec.
Paul had many interests including sports, astronomy and carpentry. He was devoted to serving his church and community.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2003 at 10:00 a. m. at Trinity Memorial United Church, 33737 Hazel St., Abbotsford.
