John, born in Mexico Sept. 17, 1925 went to be with the Lord June 17, 2003 at the age of 77 years.
John is survived by his loving family, wife of 50 years Mary, 5 children, Ron, Judy Coleman, Dan, Lydia Haak, Alan and their families. 16 grandchildren, 5 brothers, 2 sisters and many other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by sister Elsie.

Mary, late of Abbotsford, B.C. passed away June 17, 2003 at the age of 79 years.
Mary is survived by her nephews, Edwin (Linda) Baerg, Rich (Annemarie) Baerg, Marvin (Karen) Baerg, niece, Joyce (Brian) Wilson; brother-in-law Jake Baerg (Elfieda) and many other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her parents John Henry and Maria Wiebe and sister Frances Baerg.

Saturday, June 21, 2003 at Langley Lawn Cemetery, 4393 - 208th Street, Langley, B.C. followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p. m. at Langley Mennonite Fellowship Church, 20997 - 40th Avenue, Langley, B.C. With a heavy heart, we announce the passing on June 14, 2003 of Trevor, age 56 years, after a valiant 18 month battle with mesothelioma, a form of cancer related to asbestos exposure.
Trevor was born on December 13, 1946 in West Bromwich, England. He leaves to mourn his wife and best friend of nearly 36 years, Patricia, daughters Kirsty (Paulie) and Ailsa (Bill), sisters Maureen (Brian), Pauline (Brian), and Doreen, mother-in-law Mrs. Helen Hunter, sisters-in-law Roberta (Eldon) and Elaine (Nigel), nieces, nephews, and a great many frineds both here and in England.
There will be a private family memorial service followed at a later date by a celebration of Trevor's life which will be open to his many friends and acquaintances (time and place to be announced). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either The Salvation Army or the Canadian Cancer Society.

It is with great sadness and many wonderful memories that we announce the death of Kaetchen Lina (Kate) Pflanz, beloved wife of the late Benno Wilhem Pflanz. Loving mother of Benno (Connie), Kaeti (Ben) Atsma, and Otto (Cheryl). Cherished Oma to Charles, Simon, Walter, Jennifer (John), Bem, Emily, Jasmone, Celeste and Logan, and to great-grandchildren Nick, Abigail and Tanner.
Kate is survived by sisters Roesle and Mina in Germany, and many nieces and nephews who remember her fondly. She will also be sadly missed by friends and neighbours in Abbotsford.

Roy Julius Carstensen passed away on Friday, June 13, 2003, at the age of 72 years, beloved husband of Connie Carstensen of Medicine Hat, Alta. He also leaves to cherish his memory one son Kenneth and one grandson Blake, both of Langley, B.C., two stepchildren Colleen (Garry) Harder and Brian Barby; six step-grandchildren; three brothers, Carl (Bev) Carstensen, Ron (Marie) Carstensen all of Abbotsford, B.C. Fred (Sue) Carstensen of Red Deer; one sister Annamae (Les) Molnar of Abbotsford, B.C., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law.
He was predeceased by his parents Fritz and Rosella Carstensen and one granddaughter in infancy. Roy was born on January 7, 1931 in Bassano, Alta.
The Funeral service was held in the Pattison Chapel in Medicine Hat on June 19, 2003 with Rev. James Farrell officiating. John, long time resident of Abbotsford, B.C. peacefully went to be with his Lord June 11, 2003 at the age of 95 years. John is survived by his loving family; children, Betty (Derksen) Raymond of Chilliwack, Peter (Mary) DerKsen of Chilliwack, Freda (Dan) Reimer of Surrey, Agnes (Bill) Fast of Creston, Lena (John) Thielman of Abbotsford, Linda (Ron) Penner of Abbotsford; 20 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother Frank (Frieda) Ediger and sister-in-law Kay Ediger.
John was predeceased by his wife Helen and his first wife Neta, infant daughter Wilma and his adult son John.

Mr. Norman Charles Arsenault passed away on June 11, 2003 at the age of 87 years.
He is survived by wife Ella Arsenault, Donna and Dan Smith (daughter and son-in-law), Gary and Karen Arsenault (son and daughter-in-law), Warren and Donna Stadnick (son), Marcella and Kevin Serco (daughter), Nancy Stadnick and Garry (daughter).
He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Moore and the staff at the Menno Care Home.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Greig Forbes on June 10, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Nevember 28, 1937 in Trail, B.C.

Carl Jaggard passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2003 at his home on Nicomen Island, Deroche, B.C. at the age of 80 years. Carl was predeceased by his first wife Betty and his older brother Mel.
He is survived and will be lovingly remembered by his second wife Jannetta, his younger brother Rob; children Sharon (Dennis) Clark and Tom (Lynda) Jaggard; step-children Gordon (Yvonne) Leech, Wendy (Tom) Beaton, Paul (Dawn) Leech, Wanda (Walter) Kraakman, Warren Leech and Lloyd (Alita) Handy; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.
Carl was a proud veteran of World War II, a champion bowler and avid golfer with three holes-in-one to his credit.
A service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2003 at 2:00 p. m. at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home 7386 Horne Street, Mission, B.C. with Pastor Dan Rempel officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lung Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
MARTENS, ABRAHAM - Tuesday, 21 Jan 2003
Abraham (Abe) Herman Martens, aged 81, went peacefully in his sleep to be with the Lord on January 21, 2003.
He leaves behind his loving wife Katherine, having been married for 61 years. He will be greatly missed by his children; Walter (Lois), Joyce (Hank) Regehr, Ken (Sylvia), Ron (Carole), Irene (Bob) Smith together with 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He also leaves behind a brother Jack (Marlene) and 3 sisters Margaret Matties, Ann (Jake) Enns and Susan (Chuck) McWhirter and many other dear family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2003, from 7:30 - 9:00 p. m. at the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be held at Maclure Road Cemetery at 1:00 p. m. followed by a service to celebrate his life at 2:30 p. m. at Bakerview M. B. Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would gratefully request donations to the ALS Society. A designated table for donations will be available at the service.

LEVASSEUR, DORIS - Monday, 20 Jan 2003
Doris Levasseur passed away peacefully on January 20, 2003 at the age of 95 years.
She was predeceased by two husbands Henry Levasseur in 1958 and Clarence Gilman (Gillie) in 1983, by her sons Noel in 1987, aged 53, Paul in 1990, age 60 and her daughter Lucille in 1997, age 59 years.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter Armande and husband Francis Mayer, son Wally and wife Liezl Levasseur, 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren. Also by one brother Dave Dureault, sister Anita Wandfluh and many nieces and nephews.
Prayers will be offered on Wednesday, January 22, at 8:00 p. m. in St. Ann's Parish, 33333 Mayfair Avenue, Abbotsford, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 23 at 10:00 a. m., followed by interment at Hazelwood Cemetery.
