Tasker Frederick Knott passed away peacefully on September 17, 2003 at Chilliwack.
Tasker is survived by his loving family, brother Victor (Christa) Knott of Calgary, Alta.; five nieces, Bobby and Sandy, Joyce, Eileen and June, of England; two nephews, Raymond and Brian; also great nieces and nephews and many friends.
No service by request. Cremation at Valley Crematorium, Chilliwack.

McCORMACK, Marion Brown - Thursday, 19 Feb 2004
Marion Brown McCormack, born April 13, 1928 in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland, passed away February 19, 2004 at Chilliwack General Hospital.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all the family, her son, David (Linda) McCormack of Bruderheim, Alberta and daughter, Joanne Carmichael (Bud Lehman) of Abbotsford. She was Granny to Bonnie (Richard) White, Janet (Shaun) Murphy, Heather, Jeffrey, Ian and Kyle McCormack, Great Granny to Taylor and Ethan White.
Marion was predeceased by her husband, Frank, on January 28, 2004. We are comforted in knowing that she has gone to join Frank in a better place.

SPENCER, Darrel Lorne (Jim) - Wednesday, 18 Feb 2004
The family of Jim Spencer regretfully announce Jim’s sudden passing on February 18, 2004.
Jim was born December 24, 1948 in Edmonton, Alberta. He is survived by his loving wife Deborah, three children, Kristen, James and Katelyn, his mother Eleanor Spencer and his mother in-law Jinny Koelzer, one sister Nancy (Jack) Poitras, and three brothers Guy (Jane), Wynn (Ferne), Mark (Elaine). He was predeceased by a sister Joanne and his father James E. Spencer, his grand parents, Anna and Frank Robock and Myrtle and Arlo Spencer. He has numerous nieces and nephews.
He completed his schooling in Edmonton and was a member of the RCMP from January, 1968 for ten years. He operated a restaurant in Chilliwack for a number of years and then went on to several other businesses. Jim was a very kind and thoughtful man and was always concerned about others and shared with anyone who needed. He cherished his family and friends and was very proud of his children. He coached hockey for many years and will be missed for all of his activities in the community. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack, B.C. at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 21.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for James and Katie in care Debbie Spencer would be gratefully accepted.

Marie Martens, our precious mother passed away peacefully at Abbotsford B.C. on February 17, 2004 at the age of 102 years. She was born in Prijut, Urkaine, Russia, September 3, 1901.
A Prayer Service and viewing will be held - Friday, February 20, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. in the
Fireside Room of Eden Mennonite Church.
A Graveside Service will be held at Chilliwack Cemeteries, - Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Service of Remembrance at 11:00 a.m. at the Eden Mennonite Church, Chilliwack. Rev. Kerry Palmer officiating.
She is survived by her son, Peter (Hilda) of Chilliwack, B.C.; daughter, Mary Wilson, of Vermillion, Alberta; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, 1967 and daughter, Elsie, 1987.
Should family and friends so desire, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee.

Our Heavenly Father couldn’t wait to bring his joyful son home!
For the three years that Delouie lived on this earth, he went from “hell, to happiness, and now to Heaven”.
Delouie was an orphan from Haiti who brought joy to everyone he met. He inspired a ministry to children that surpassed all earthly expectations.

Elsie Fehlauer passed from this world into the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004 at Chilliwack General Hospital, at age 82 years. She was born November 10, 1921 at Gottliebsdorf, Russia. Mom is survived by her sons, Ed (Marlene), Gary (Hanna), Wilf (Karen), Manfred, Randy (Angie), Ken (Janice); daughter Irene (Jim) Williams; 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter (1980), daughter, Giesela (1982) and four children in infancy.
An Evening Viewing will be held - Friday, Feb. 20, 2004 from 7:00 and 9:00 pm at Woodlawn. Funeral Service will be held - Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004 at 10:30 am from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack, B.C., with Pastor Mitch Belobaba officiating. Burial will take place following the service, at Chilliwack Cemeteries.
KNODEL, Edwin - Sunday, 15 Feb 2004
Edwin Knodel passed away Sunday, February 15, 2004 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 89 years. He was born November 14,1914 at Schuler, Alta.
Ed is survived by his sister, Ella Beck, Medicine Hat, AB; cousin, Walter Knodel, Medicine Hat, AB; and nephew, Ken Garden, Surrey, B.C.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jean in 1978, his mother, Emma in 1976, father, Ludwig in 1977, and sister, Alma in 1985.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 2:30 pm from Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 7087 MacDonald Rd. Agassiz, B.C. W.D. Thomas officiating.
Ed moved to New York State with his parents in 1926, returning in 1928 and eventually took a course of mechanics. He operated his own garage for 27 years. Ed was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1940 in the Old Man River, and faithfully served his creator until his death.
ELGER, Maria Mara - Sunday, 15 Feb 2004
Maria Mara of Errington, B.C., passed away peacefully at home with her loving husband Volker at her side, on Feb. 15, 2004 at the age of 69 years. She is also survived by her mother Sofia Veroni and uncle Johann Veroni, both of Athens, Greece.
Maria and Volker will be remembered as former owners of “The Cottage” Restaurant in Chilliwack.

Elsie Helen Clements (nee Apps) – passed away peacefully at Valley Haven Guest Home on February 14, 2004 after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born in Preeceville, Saskatchewan on March 7, 1924.
She moved to Chilliwack with her parents when she was three years old.
Elsie married Roy Clements in 1947.
She is survived by her brothers Howard Apps, of Chilliwack, Fred (Meneta) Apps of 100 Mile House, John (Marwayne) of Chilliwack and sister Pearl (Dave) MacAulay of Chilliwack.
Elsie was predeceased by her husband Roy and brother Elmer Mills.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at the Tea Room of Henderson’s Funeral Home, Chilliwack

Hester Sanders passed away on February 14, 2004 at Chilliwack, B.C. at age 79 years. She was born November 15, 1924.
Hester is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Ted (Heather), Lorraine (Mick), Alan (Joyce), Edward (Shelley); grandchildren, Michelle, Carey, Chad, Christopher, Natalie, Virginia, Veronica, Victoria; great-grandson, Shayle; brothers, Gerald and Flip; sisters, Henny and Greet; and many nieces and nephews in Holland.
Her father, mother and sister, Frieda, predeceased her.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Feb. 20, 2004 at 12:30 pm from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, with Pastor Dave Huebert officiating. Private family burial.

BRIDGE (nee Drew), Nancy Irma - Tuesday, 04 May 2004
Nancy Irma Bridge (nee Drew) late of Chilliwack, formerly of White Rock, Surrey, and Victoria, passed away in her 82nd year on April 27, 2004, at Chilliwack General Hospital.
Survived by her loving husband James Bridge; sons, David (Donna) of Sheridan Lake, Barry (Patti) of Gibsons, Daryl (Diane) of 100 Mile House, and Robert (Karen) of Chilliwack; her 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Preceded in death by her brother Norman Drew of Alberta.
Nancy was a woman of great faith and looked to God in all circumstances. before her health declined, she was an avid gardener, enthusiastic rock hound, a member of Campers for Christ, and always busy in the kitchen making jams, pies and cookies ‘from scratch’. She loved to travel with Jim in their RV, and had many wonderful trips to Arizona and California.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff in ECU for the care and support shown Nancy this past year.
A Celebration of Life to be held at 11 a.m. - Saturday, May 1, 2004 at Glad Tidings Fellowship.

BROOKS, Etta Mae - Tuesday, 04 May 2004
Etta Mae Brooks passed away peacefully on May 4, 2004 at Chilliwack, B.C. at the age of 93 years. Mae was born in London, Ont. on September 5, 1910.
The family moved from Ontario to New Westminster, B.C. in 1912 where Mae spent the majority of her life. She went to school, met and married her husband and raised her family in New Westminster.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters and sons-in-law Lorraine (Ron) McAllister, Georgia (Murray) Provost, Barbara (Paul) Nicholls, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sisters Elva Glanville and Jennie Glanville, sister-in-law Jean Glanville.
Mae was predeceased by her husband George T. Brooks in 1970, brothers Girvin Glanville and Harry Glanville.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of The Waverly of Chilliwack and to Dr. John Chow for the kind and compassionate care they gave to our mother.
In accordance to Mae’s wishes, family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at Fraser Cemetery, New Westminster (Miner St. off Cumberland St.) on Friday, May 14, 2004 at 2 pm. Following the service, a reception tea will be held at the Inn at Westminster Quay, 900 Quayside Dr., New Westminster, B.C.
