AYLSWORTH, William Wayne (Bill) passed away peacefully and with dignity following a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn him his wife Beth; special daughter Taryn; Beth's son Kevin (Ruth) Kult and daughter Lori (Gary) Harris; as well his beloved grandchildren, Kieran, Rebecca, Kathryn, Lindsay and Tanner; and special friends Jock and Kitty Hobson. At Bill's request there will be no service, but a memorial will be held Saturday August 10th at their home, 217- 9100 Bonaventure Dr. SE, Calgary.
BEAUMONT, Gerald M., passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside at Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock on June 29, 2002. He was born in South Vancouver, BC on February 9, 1924. Predeceased by a beloved daughter June and grandson Bill. He is survived by his loving family: wife, Jean; daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Roger Harris, Nancy and Karrey Marsolais, Betty and Neil Fritz; his cherished grandchildren: Debbie (Calvin) Marsolais, Holly (Jevon) Anonby, Carla (Saeed) Kazemi, Matthew Harris, Shawn (James) Muir, Charleen and Jennifer Fritz. His special joy were his 9 great grandchildren. He is also remembered by his sisters-in-law, Sally Beaumont and Mary Jane (Ray) Goldsworthy; a brother-in- law, John Fritsche; by many nieces and nephews, and friend Olva Salmonsen. Thanks to those who cared for Dad at Peace Arch Hospital. A private burial service was held at Boundary Bay Cemetery.
BITTERMAN, Jared Chad. December 25, 1973 - July 9, 2002. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jared at the age of 28. CHEVRIER, Noe Andre passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2002 one month before his 91st birthday. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and worked as a pharmacist for many years in Vancouver. Noe was predeceased by Kay, his beloved wife of 62 years,in 1999. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and by special friends Pat and Wendy Nevison and Doug and Marie Parker and their families. Noe will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and for his love of show business and the horse races. Many thanks to the staff at West Vancouver Care Centre for being so caring. CHOW, Phyllis Chi-Ying (nee Sung) passed away on August 1st, 2002. Born in Vancouver on July 30th, 1930, she went to join our Lord peacefully with her husband of 50 years, Edward, at her side. Her 4 sons and their families will greatly miss her love and devotion, Sandy, Buzzy, Michael (Lori) and Victor (Winnie); grandchildren Andrea, Jefferey, Marissa, Christopher, Danelle and Marisa. Phyllis is survived by her 2 brothers Bruce and Wilfred Sung and many nieces and nephews. BYRNE, Donald Thomas, May 13, 1931, October 18, 2002. Don Byrne passed away suddenly on October 18, 2002 at Lion's Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, at the age of 71. He was born in Chilliwack, B.C., the eldest child of Lena Byrne (nee Halpenny) and Thomas S. Byrne. He was predeceased by his father and mother and his sister, Sheila Byrne. He is survived by his sister, Kam Brasso, his brother, Terry Byrne, his brother-in-law, Henning Brasso, nephews, Christian and Peter Brasso, niece, Lisa Brasso (Martin Ernst), and great-nieces, Tabitha and Charlotte Brasso-Ernst. Our beloved "Uncle Don" was a towering presence in our family and in his wide and loyal circle of friends. He was passionate in all his varied interests and expert and conscientious in all his many endeavours. Don was a long-time member of the Radio Amateurs of Canada, the basis of his life-long activities in the communications field, including his 40 year career as a radio engineer with B.C. Tel. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneer Amateur Radio Club and a key member of their Emergency Communications Network group. He belonged to the Point Grey Radio Club. As a member of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, he directed all communications for the Vancouver-Maui Yacht Race; he worked on the archives committee and was safety officer for many years. Don was one-of-a-kind; calm, caring, unfailingly courteous, kind, cheerful and helpful. His passing is an immense loss to family, friends and also to the many foreign students he has welcomed into his home as father figure and mentor. A Memorial Service and celebration of Don's life will be held at St. Helen's Anglican Church, 4405 West 8th Ave., at 1pm, Thursday, October 24, 2002. Reception will follow at The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, 3811 Point Grey Road, Vancouver.

COVEY, Maynard. Passed away peacefully at age 79, on Friday, October 18, 2002. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Edith, and enjoyed sixty years of marriage. During the Second World War, he served duty as a gunner with the Royal Canadian Navy abroad. He worked for Canfor Products until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time being close to his family. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Diane (John), Carol-Lyn (Les), and son Scott; six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Predeceased by his son Daryl, in 1984. A very special thanks from all his family to Dr. Lewis, and the wonderful nurses in the ICU at the M.S.A. Hospital in Abbotsford. CRADDOCK, Winnifred, born April 28, 1903, passed away October 16, 2002. Resided for the past 15 years in Salmo, BC. Predeceased by hubby Arthur Craddock in 1980; son-in-law Desi Gillis. Survived by daughter Irene Gillis; and son Arthur; grandchildren Penny (Bob) Dirks, Bob (Colleen) Gillis, Veronica (Ed) Johnson, Maria (Kim) Barnes; great-grandchildren Andy, Jenn, Ashley, Scott, Cory, Kyle, Kim, Steve, Christina, April, Rachelle; great-great-granddaughter Alexis; and brothers Tom and Charlie Vince.
