INNBJOR, Catherine (nee Jamieson) "Cat" Calla. Cathie passed away on August 9th, 2002. She will be greatly missed by her father George; sister Marion (Dan); brother George (Faith); children Michael (Kathryn), Peter (Kirsten), and Kim; grandchildren Jaimie and Caitlin; dear friends Ellen, Helen, Lorraine, Joan, Sue, Darryl, Bonnie, Joe, Mark; numerous other family and friends; and her cat Shadow. Cathie's spirit will live on amongst those who knew and loved her. A remembrance gathering will be held Saturday, August 17th at 2:00 p.m at Avalon Funeral Home, Surrey. If desired, contributions in memory of Cathie, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Arthritis Society or B.C. Lung Association .

KARPODINIS, Konstantinos (Gus), born May 21, 1928 Parikia, Paros, Greece and passed away peacefully on August 11, 2002 at Vancouver General Hospital at the age of 74 years. Konstantine is survived by his loving wife Anna of 47 years and his daughters, Catherine (Andrea), Angela (Niko) and Petroula (Peter); his grandchildren, Konstantine, Anna, George and Anna Maria in Vancouver; his brother William (Sophia) and children Petros and Maria in Greece; his godson William Scaramangas (Irene) and family, his godson Sakis Chios in Greece; and many other family and friends. Konstantinos will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family and his extraordinary talent in detail. His gift of finished carpentry which included restaurant construction, musical instruments, model boats and furniture are testaments to his artistry. Family and friends will remember Konstantinos for his jovial personality and fun-loving attitude that allowed him to be loved by young and old. Our heart filled appreciation to the doctors and staff at VGH 7 west for their wonderful support and care. Prayers will be held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 4641 Boundary Road, Vancouver, B.C. on Sunday, August 18th at 5:30 pm, where the funeral service will be held on Monday August 19th at 12:00 pm. with Father Demetrios Partsafas, Father Dorotheos Trifonopoulos and Father Peter Pavlakos officiating. Interment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Road, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.

LUND, Hal, born August 15, 1957 in Vancouver, passed away on August 11, 2002 at Surrey Memorial Hospital after a long illness and courageous battle with Lupus and Mixed Connective Tissue disease. He played with the B.C. Lions from 1977-1981. Football was the love of his life! He continued to do charity work with the B.C. Lions Alumni raising awareness for organ donation and transplantation for the B.C. Kidney and Heart Foundations and the Arthritic Society. He was a great guy who had to deal with a terrible illness at such a young age when he was in his prime. He will be remembered for fighting a strong and courageous battle and will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Survived by his daughter Jessica; sister Julia Lund Arneson and his nieces Jamie and Jenna Arneson of Dove Canyon, CA, USA. A Celebration of Hal's life is being held at 12:00 noon Thursday, August 15th at Days Inn, Surrey. Donations in Hal's name may be made to the B.C. Kidney Foundation.
GOUT, Elisabeth (nee anHaack), born April 5, 1909 in Padang, Sumatra (Dutch East Indies), passed away on January 9, 2003 in the Purdy Extended Care Unit at UB.C. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerard Othon. "Oma Gout" was loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed by her son, Peter (Irene); her grandchildren, Denise (Greg), Michele and relatives and friends in The Netherlands and Canada. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Ryan and Aimee. Elisabeth will be remembered by many for her wonderful sense of humor, her generosity and love for singing. A Memorial Service will be held for family and intimate friends in the Chapel of the Purdy Unit on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at 2:00 pm. JOSEPHSON, Johanna (Josie) passed quietly in her sleep at Royal Jubilee hospital in Victoria, B.C. on January 7, 2003 in her 83rd year. Survived by her daughters, Merese and Denise; six grandchildren, Cindy, Rick, Debbie, Sherry, Alysa, and Meghan. Josie has two sisters, Marj and Chris; eight great-grandchildren, Justin, Patrick, Laura, Natasha, Connie, Stephan, Jaime and Calvin and she also cherished her many nieces and nephews. You will always live in ourhearts. You made us laugh and made the world a better place by your presence. She was easy to like and easier to love.

LANGILLE, Violet May, born on February 27, 1934 passed away on December 21, 2002. Mom you have brought life to us children, cared for and nurtured us. It was time we had done the same for you. Your passing was sudden but the time we had was priceless. You and dad can go on your journeys now but don't go too far we may need to call on you.
