HALL, Eleanor M. (nee Young), born May 21, 1924 in Anyox, B.C., passed away peacefully April 13, 2003 at 7:30 am in White Rock, B.C. She graduated Class of '42 from Kitsilano High School, Vancouver, B.C. Eleanor will be sadly missed and remembered by her husband of 56 years, Wilfred (WEE HALL); her sons and their wives, Wilfred (Willie Hall), married to Carol, and David Hall, married to Cheryl; and was a loving Grandma to Rhoda, Catherine, Rachelle and great-grandson Jesse; a brother she adored, Wilmer (Bill) McManus. Remembered with affection by Pat McLean and Dennis Hall, Rick Hall and their families. Loved also by her close family, Greg (Yelma) and Judy and Janice Puttick. We will have many memories of you. Rest in Peace Mom. Loved and missed by all of us. There will be no service as per her wishes.

HAS, Dobrila, born February 21, 1937, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2003 at 66 years of age. Predeceased by her husband Josip. Loving and missing her are her two sons, Mladen (Ann) and Danny (Claudia). She will always be remembered for all the love she felt for others and as others felt for her. Prayers will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 6:15 pm from St. Helen's Catholic Church, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16, from St. Helen's Catholic Church at 2:00 pm. Burial to follow at Robinson Memorial Park, Coquitlam. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

KEALL, Margaret Frances (Robertson), aged 81 passed peacefully on April 6th, 2003 at Surrey Memorial Hospital in the presence of special family friends John and Kay Kowalchuk. Special thanks to the kind and caring staff of SMH 5-East for their compassionate care of Marg and Tom while they were both in their care. Marg leaves to mourn daughter Fran (Barry Shiles), grandsons Scott and Thomas, brother George Robertson of Williams Lake. Predeceased by adoring husband Tom, brother Bob and sister Janet. Marg managed the Drug Dept. at "Hamilton Harvey" for many years. Tom and Marg loved their many years of service with the North Surrey and Guildford Lions Club and particularly loved their yearly trips to Kona, Hawaii and the many friends they made while on the beautiful islands. Grandma we'll miss your spaghetti and meatballs. A memorial service will be held at the Shiles' family home on April 27, 2003, 1pm to 4 pm 604-594-6579. KELK, Eileen Mercia, formerly of Roberts Creek, B.C., passed way at Capilano Care Centre, April 10th, 2003. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Gordon in 1994. She is survived by her loving cousin, Iris and family; her cousin, Marjorie; and other relatives, as well as dear friends in Victoria and Roberts Creek. KELLY, Eileen (Sister): (in religion, a.k.a. Sister Mary Eileen, died suddenly April 12th, 2003, at St. Ann's Residence, Victoria, B.C. Born in Victoria, January 11, 1923, Eileen was the daughter of Michael and Mary Anne (Hamilton) Kelly. She received her education at St. Ann's Academy, Victoria, and entered the Novitiate of the Sisters of St. Ann following graduation. After her religious profession in 1942, Eileen was involved in either teaching or administration. She taught at St. Ann's Academy, New Westminster, and St. Ann's Academy, Victoria, as well as Little Flower Academy, Vancouver. She was named Principal and Superior of St. Ann's Academy, New Westminster (1959-1962) and of St. Ann's Academy, Kamloops (1962-1965). From 1965-1971 she studied at Notre Dame, Indiana, and did extensive research in Paris. For the next 9 years she served as Provincial Superior of St. Joseph's Province. She became Principal of Little Flower Academy, Vancouver (1980-1998). She then moved to Mt. St. Angela, Victoria, and remained involved in Community Service and in committees regarding Congregational decisions. She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Alice (Sister Marianna, CSJP); and brother, Denis. Eileen will be sadly missed by her brother, Joseph (Joe) Kelly (Kay), nieces Kathy Kelly Bull (Peter) and Sheila Norton (John); nephews, Denis and Mike Kelly, 2 grandnieces and 4 grandnephews, members of her Religious Community, numerous former students and friends. A prayer service will be held at St. Ann's Residence, 2474 Arbutus Road, Victoria, B.C., Tuesday, April 15th at 7:00 pm; Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by Rev. Msgr. CUNNINGTON, Rae William Cunnington 1947-2003, died at his home in Comox, B.C. on August 21, 2003, with his family and friends present, after a brief but painful battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Vanessa; son Mark; daughter Rachel; father George; sister Rita (Tom) Walton; and nephews Rae and Paul Walton. Rae received a degree in Chemical Engineering from University Of Waterloo in 1972. He began his career in the pulp and paper industry at Prince George Pulp and Paper. He worked in various pulp mills, and was employed by Sandwell Engineering in Vancouver for the last 16 years. He was known in the profession to be honest and ethical with a commitment to passing on his knowledge to a rising generation of young engineers. He lived in North Vancouver with his family and beloved dogs for the last 16 years. Rae was a great outdoor enthusiast, running several Sun Runs, skiing the Sibly Cross Country ski race, and enjoying camping and fishing. In May 2003, he moved with his wife to settle in Comox. We wish to send a sincere thank you to Dr. Fehlau and the home care nurses in the Comox Valley who made it possible for us to care for him at home. A memorial service was held to celebrate Rae's life on August 23, 2003, attended by many colleagues, friends and family. Rae will be missed both professionally and personally, and will be remembered and loved forever by his family.

GREGORY, Bertha M. (Nee - Burton) passed away in her 88th year, on August 26, 2003, in Victoria. Bertha was predeceased by her husband, Joe. She will be fondly remembered by her children: Richard, Rodger, Diane and Ross, their spouses; and all her grandchildren, as well as her siblings: Dorothy, Judy and Ted, and their families, and many other family and friends. HAWKINS, Ian David Oliver, 83, died August 20, 2003 in New Westminster. He was born, raised and lived his last years in Burnaby. Ian was predeceased by parents, Leonard and Eleanor Hawkins, brother Channing, and sister Faith (Campbell Hope). Ian will be greatly missed by his brothers George, of Edmonton, and Michael, of Ottawa, and will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and their children. His family is very grateful for the great kindness and devotion of his longtime caregiver, Bonnie Bailey. HILLMAN, Eugenie Elizabeth (nee Burns), born in Thornhill, Ontario in July 1920, passed gently on August 23rd, 2003 at the age of 83 with her family at her side. "Mom" is deeply loved. A strong spirit who made her own way, she brought family together, cherished deep loyalties and quietly lived by faith and values held dearly in her heart. Gene is survived by her son Michael (Donna); her grandchildren, Tanya (Muniz Virani) and Shane, and her sister Marion Heath of Scarborough, Ontario. She is predeceased by her husband Charlie (1998). She will also be missed by her stepfamily in Las Vegas, Alvida Lane and her sons, Jeffrey and Steven and great-grandchildren, Steven Robert and Stephanie: Leona Vespia (predeceased), her husband Charles and their children, Cecilia (predeceased), Tina, Cathy (predeceased), Dina, Toni, Charles (predeceased), Christopher, Cynthia; and great-grandchildren, Marcello, Max and Nick. JULIANI, John Charles Actor, director, writer, and producer of theatre, film, television, radio and opera. Born March 24, 1940 in Montreal, Quebec. Took his final curtain call on Thursday, August 21, 2003 at Lions Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, B.C. after a very brief illness, He served as President of the Union of B.C. Performers (UBCP/ACTRA), President of the Directors' Guild of Canada. He was Executive Producer of CBC radio drama for fifteen years and founder/artistic director of Savage God (est. 1966).
