Abbott, Nellie of Georgetown, Ontario passed away unexpectedly in Surrey BC March 21, 200 at the age of 86 years.
Nellie was predeceased by her husband Ronnie Abbott.
Nellie was the last survivor of a family of 11 siblings.
Survived by her loving family children Glenn (Dale Petersen) Abbott and Marilyn (Reg) Krock; grandchildren Julianna, David and Andrea and many other relatives and friends.
Nellie thoroughly enjoyed the many friends she met in Bridgeview and times spent by the Fraser River with her son.
Funeral Services will be held in Ontario.
Myrtle Elizabeth Peters (née Hagen)

PETERS - Myrtle Elizabeth (Hagen) passed away peacefully on March 17, 2005 in her 85th year.
Her dear husband Bill died in 1988.
She leaves her son, Jeffrey Croxford (Portland, Oregon), stepson Brent Peters, sisters Marie (John) Relick, Doris (George) Prince, brothers Edward, Otto (Ole), John (Anita) Hagen and many nieces and nephews who remember Auntie Myrt with great affection.
She brought great joy to her family through her love of gardening, her fine needlework, and the fabulous meals we so often enjoyed at her table.
To the caring staff in units 52 and 53 at Surrey Memorial Hospital, the family extends gratitude and appreciation.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd at Avalon Surrey Funeral Home, 13288-108 Avenue, Surrey at 11:30 a.m. with reception to follow.
Wilhemina "Winnie" Gordon Finlayson

Finlayson - Wilhemina Gordon “Winnie” born in Elphinstone, Manitoba on August 26, 1922, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2005 in Richmond BC.
She is predeceased by husband Norman and lovingly remembered by her 2 sisters Agnes Coutts and Betty Griffith, 2 daughters Wendy (Danny) and Darleen (Darrell), 2 grandchildren Ben (Kitty) and Janine (Steve) and one great-grandson Lucas. During the war Wilhemina worked for Boeing riveting airplane wings. She loved to work in her garden and to bake; her specialty was shortbread and xmas cakes, which she shared generously with family and friends. She was thrilled to witness the marriage of her granddaughter and there were tears in her eyes when she held her great-grandson for the first time. On July 17, 2004 she attended her grandson’s wedding and the surprise wedding of her daughter Wendy after a brief 35 year engagement.
Win was a thoughtful and caring person, a loving mother and wife and a good neighbor.
She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Holy Family and the Richmond General ICU.

WESTRA, Hilda (nee Tabak) predeceased by her husband Ralph Westra in 1994.
Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, February 12, 2005.
She is survived by her 8 daughters and 6 sons-in-law; Teresa (Harry), Florence (John deceased), Audrey (Hans), Grace (Peter), Sandra, Betty (Thomas), Hilda (Phil), and Evelyn (Vic); 25 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George and Jack; one sister, Atty Feenstra of Dokkum, Netherlands, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her love for God, her love for her family and her love for her many, many dear friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church of Vancouver, 2670 Victoria Dr., Vancouver, on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a get together for family and friends in the Church Annex.
Prior to Memorial Service, a Graveside Service for family and very close friends will be at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14644 72 Ave., Surrey, B.C.

Holford, James Alexander passed away suddenly at home on January 20, 2005 at the age of 28 years, with his wife and son by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Melanie and devoted Dad of Bradley, Brooklyn and Ryan.
James was an amazing father to Bradley and was so very excited about the birth of the twins.
Tragically, he was taken too soon to meet them, but he will forever watch over his beautiful family.
James will be greatly missed by mother Margaret (Tim), father Tony (Jenny) in Greece, brother, Matthew (Jody), niece Kalie, as well by relatives and friends throughout Canada and England. James' greatest love aside from his family and friends was hockey, hockey, hockey!!!
The funeral service will be held Friday, February 4, 2005 at 1:00 pm, at Avalon Surrey Funeral Home, 13288-108th Avenue, Surrey B.C., viewing one hour prior. Burial to follow at Victory Memorial Park.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

Menzies: A. Alexander (Sandy), PhD. (Econ) born in Fergus, Ontario in 1940, Sandy died in Vancouver February 8, 2005 after a lengthy illness. Formerly of Ottawa, he is survived by his wife and best friend Susan (Meredith). Beloved brother of Heather Beecroft (Toronto), uncle of Christopher Beecroft, brother-in-law to Leslie Lewin, Deborah MacDougall, Hilary Meredith, David Meredith, Jocelyn Hidi, Michael Meredith and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Albert A. and Helen I. (Muir) Menzies. Educator, public servant, champion horse breeder and community volunteer "Sandy' will be missed by many friends and relatives, Merediths and Menzies alike. Thanks to Dr. Brian Calvin and Dr. Michael Kenyon of Nanaimo and the BC Transplant team for their compassionate care. Sandy's desire for a private cremation has been respected. Survived by her loving and devoted husband of fifteen years Bob. Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her sons; Blaine, Barry (Daryl), Van (Roxanne) and Philip, her two grandchildren Crystal and Matthew. Her brother Melvin Leischner, as well as other family members and friends also remember her. Dorothy enjoyed many years with the Coquitlam School Board and then with the RCMP until her retirement.
