HENDERSON - James W. (Jimmie), passed away peacefully June 22, 1997 at the age of 73. Survived by his loving wife Dorothy; son Craig (Candice); twin granddaughters Alexina and Sofia; daughter Leslie (Brad) Noble; sisters Margaret Walker and Emmie Gardiner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., June 27, 1997 at the Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Society.
LAWRENCE (JANZ) - Mary E. lived for many years in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver and laterly of South Surrey, passed away peacefully June 20, 1997, age 86. Predeceased by husbands Raymond Lawrence and Waldemar Janz, and son Wayne Janz. Survived by daughter Eva Davis-Kliche; son Verner Janz; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial Service held at Royal Heights United Church, North Delta.

OLIVER - William Robert (Bob) on Friday, June 20, 1997 at Lions Gate Hospital. Survived by wife Eileen; daughter Jocelyn Stampfli (Peter); sons Wes (Angie) and Mark (Trena); grandchildren Krystle, Lindsay, Jenna, Karina and Cody; also survived by his sister Margo Oliver-Morgan, Elora, Ontario. Bob served in the R.A.F. and R.C.A.F. in the United Kingdom, India, Ceylon and South Africa during W.W.II. He was well known in the Electrical Industry across Canada before his retirement. Private Interment Service for the family at Capilano View Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service for friends and family at St. Catherines Anglican Church, 1058 Ridgewood Drive, North Vancouver (near Edgemont Village) on Thursday, June 26, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bob's memory be made to the Canadian Cancer Society for Cancer Research.
OLSEN - Mark Theodore passed away peacefully on June 22, 1997 at Lions Gate Hospital after a valiant fight with brain cancer. Born in Calgary on September 18, 1926. Mark will be missed greatly by his loving wife Elly Boshell; stepchildren Lee and Drew Boshell; brother Eric Olsen; niece Becci Montgomery (Jim); great-nieces Emma and Sara; and friends. A special thank you to all nurses and volunteers at the Lions Gate Palliative Care Ward; Dr. Gray, Dr. Klassen and Dr. Rheaume, who helped make Mark's last few weeks so comfortable. Mark is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Canadian Geotechnical Society, Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C., Wesbrook Society and U.B.C. Alumni Association. Mark, we will miss your warm smile and loving care. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life gathering on Wednesday, June 25th at 4:00 p.m. at West Vancouver Yacht Club. SUTHERLAND - Dorothy, born December 23, 1916, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 18, 1997, in her 81st year. She was a very avid reader and writer, and her thoughts, caring and presence will be very sadly missed by her loving son John and her daughter-in-law Gwen; nieces Gail and Donna; and many caring friends. She was a resident of West Vancouver for 47 years. Predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Jack and her devoted sister, Betty. No memorial service will be held. SARICH - Eugenie (Jennie) passed away peacefully after a brief illness June 25, 1997. She was predeceased by her husband Matthew and her son Russel. Survived by her son Casimir (Cash) and daughter Marie (Kevin) O'Neill; four grandchildren Dean (Kim), Troy (Jasia), Shannon and Erin; and sisters Dahlia Davis and Juliette Fontanie. Jennie will be sorely missed by her many other relatives and friends in Fernie and across Canada. WOLFE - Herbert James
December 18, 1919-June 19, 1997
Left behind to celebrate his life and remember Herb with love are his dear wife of 55 years, Joan, their children Lorna Lyons, Barbara Payne, Ron (Rosana) Wolfe, Glenn Wolfe, Doreen White (Bill Goetken), Gord (Barb) Wolfe, Les (Denise) Wolfe and their 13 grandchildren. Also left to remember Herb are his sister Verna Walsh of Victoria; brothers Bob Wolfe of Winnipeg and Tom (Helen) Wolfe of Vernon; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and many good friends.
After spending 20 years in Beaverlodge, Alberta, Herb moved his family to the Lower Mainland where he was the spirit and face of Hart's Cameras in Langley before retiring to West Vancouver in 1988.
It is with immense sorrow that we must let him go.
The family especially wishes to thank Susan Holtom, R.N. and Dr. Michael Knight.
