OLSEN - Mark Theodore passed away peacefully on June 22, 1997 at Lions Gate Hospital after a valiant fight with brain cancer. Born in Calgary on September 18, 1926. Mark will be missed greatly by his loving wife Elly Boshell; stepchildren Lee and Drew Boshell; brother Eric Olsen; niece Becci Montgomery (Jim); great-nieces Emma and Sara; and friends. Frank left this earth on Tuesday, June 10, 1997. He was dearly loved by his wife Elin, stepdaughter Danielle, mother Zora, father Zlatko, brother Michael and his wife Patty, sister Linda Therrien, nephew Troy and niece Michelle. Frank was the most gentle soul this world has experienced, he was as beautiful on the inside as he was on the outside. He was known for his wit, charm and keen sense of humour. His love for music and beauty brought him much happiness. He will always be missed and never forgotten by his family and many friends. MARTIN - Avery William. A longtime resident of Vancouver, Avery William Martin passed away June 17, 1997. Born April 17, 1920, Avery was the son of William and Grace Martin, longtime residents of West Vancouver. Avery served in both the Canadian Army and the RCAF. He was a member of the Canadian Legion #118 and of the Canadian Railway Pensioners Association. He served on the board of Highlands United Church.
Mr. Martin retired from the VIA Rail following thirty years of service with CP Rail and VIA Rail as a sleeping car conductor. More recently he was employed by the Park Royal Security until he retired owing to illness. He is survived by his loving wife June; nieces Gail and Joanne; great-niece Carolyn and great-nephews Ryan and Nathan; stepson Brent Smith (Dianne) and grandsons Marc and Daniel, all of Saskatoon. Also very special friends Roy Marsden and Alice.
A memorial service will be held at Highlands United Church, 3255 Edgemont Boulevard, North Vancouver on Monday, June 23, 1997 commencing at 2:00 p.m.

JOHNSON - Ronald, beloved husband of Mary Therese (nee Terry Boes), passed away peacefully at home on June 12, 1997, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Sadly missed by his four children, Joe (Sharon), Brian (Barbara), Michelle (Norm) and Nancy; and his eight grandchildren, Jacquie, Cara, Jessica, Jason, Colin, Miranda, Brianne and Natasha.
As a prisoner of war for five months, he returned home a war amp. His disability became a source of inspiration for all who knew him, meeting life's challenges head on, unafraid of taking the responsibilities that confronted him. As a successful business man, he first worked for Electrolux (Canada) Ltd, then opened "Ron's Smoke Shop" in Lynn Valley Mall. He greatly enjoyed meeting people at the store for 12 years until his retirement in 1985.
Prayers will be held on Sunday, June 15th at 7:00 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 27th and Lonsdale, North Vancouver.
