NORMAN - Horace Le Verne (Hap). Passed away in the early morning of July 6, 1999 at the age of 82. A longtime resident of North Vancouver, Hap was a familiar figure in lower Lonsdale where he owned and operated Horizon Wood Products. He was a master craftsman and left a legacy of fine woodwork and furniture. A generous man, Hap also left a legacy of strong and lasting friendships. He was saddened recently by the loss of his wife, Mary and eldest son, Steven. He is survived by his brother Ted (May), son Peter (Eileen), grandsons Eli and Matthew, daughter-in-law Marilyn, granddaughters Lita and Kami. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, July 18, 1999 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Canyon House, 3590 Capilano Rd, North Vancouver, B.C.

LUDWIG - Dieter. Passed away peacefully on June 19, 1999 at the age of 71. He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife Rosa; his children Diana, Harald, Alan; his grandchildren Jennifer, Nicole, Ryan, Adam, Devan, Alexander, Nicholas, Natalie and numerous other friends and relatives. Dieter was born in the Free State of Danzig and raised his family in North Burnaby before retiring to West Vancouver. Dieter enjoyed skiing, loved wildlife and gardening. He will be remembered for his kindness, warmth and admirable principles. Preferring laughter to sadness there will be no service by request. A gathering of family and close friends will take place. PROCTOR - Reta Pansy, (nee Moore). Passed away peacefully June 26, 1999. Reta was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta July 9, 1912 and was predeceased by her husband Gordon 1991, and brother Harry. Reta will be very sadly missed by her daughters, Sheila (Dave), Nancy (John), grandchildren Doug (Helen), Cathy, Melissa, Jenny, and her great grandchildren Nolan and Carson. MARK - Davida (nee Campbell). Passed away peacefully June 27, 1999 at Lions Gate Hospital. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who gave her whole heart to those close to her. Davida had a kind and caring nature, a woman who gave love and received it back in abundance. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 41 years Jerry, her daughter Leslie, son-in-law Jeff, dearly loved grandchildren Cameron, Meagan and Amanda and other relatives and friends. RUTHERFORD, MARK - passed away on June 30th, 1999 at the age of 87. A veteran, a devoted husband and a loving father, Mark had been a resident of Lynn Valley for the past 41 years. Mark was a gentle, patient and thoughtful man who will be remembered for his respectful and caring manner with people around him. HODGKINS - Ross Giles. Born May 16, 1938 in Toronto, Ontario. Passed away peacefully on June 19, 1999 at Lions Gate Palliative Care Unit in North Vancouver after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Ross was predeceased by his parents Reg and Erva and his twin brother Dean. He is survived by his sisters Verna (Fred) Yacula of Meaford, Ontario and Joan Richburg of Toronto. He will be sadly missed by his loving family - wife Fran, sons David and Grant of Vancouver and Derek of Williams Lake, B.C.
