GORDON - Bruce MacMillan. Born at Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, June 25, 1915. Suffered a stroke on May 28, and passed away peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital on June 3, 1999 with family at his side. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years Dorothy, brother Stuart (Olive); sons Bruce Jr.; Huntly (Grace); daughter Pamela Dalik (Don); grandchildren Elizabeth, Andrew and Graham. Bruce attended high school in London, Ontario. He graduated from the University of British Columbia in Commerce, Class of 1938. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity whose members were life long friends. Bruce served his country well both at peace and at war. He saw active service in Italy, France, Belgium and the Netherlands with the Canadian Artillery. In business Bruce followed his father Willard Cameron Gordon into the insurance industry. He provided his support to a number of worthwhile British Columbia initiatives. He was proud to have been an enthusiastic supporter and an original shareholder of the Garibaldi Lift Company. Bruce enjoyed a long retirement pursuing, with his family and friends, his hobbies and interests as an avid skier, boater, fisherman, outdoors man and traveller. He skied both in the Coast range and the Rockies, and in the Alps. He handled his own sailing vessel both on the British Columbia Coast and in the Mediterranean well into his 70's. Italy was his favourite destination where he enjoyed the culture, skiing and sailing. He was always such an enthusiastic companion and we will miss him terribly. Bruce will be buried at a private family service at Capilano View Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, 3811 Point Gray Road, Vancouver, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday June 11, 1999.

PRICE - James Vincent. Passed away May 27, 1999. He was born May 7, 1919 in Hamilton, Ont. He flew as a Navigator Officer in the RCAF (1941-1945) in the European theater. After the war, his career took him to the United States. He was employed by Kemper Insurance until his health disability in 1979. After becoming disabled, he returned home to Canada. Jim was an active member of the Canadian Legion Branch #60, The North Shore Air Crew Association, Air Force Officer Association, a charter member of the Senior Tennis Association and the West Vancouver Senior Centre. He was predeceased by his brother Private Daniel Miller Price, his first wife Dorothy Price and his second Elvire Price. He is survived by two sons Clayton Miller Wilson of Vancouver, James Vincent Price II of Corpus Christi, Texas; one daughter Mary Elizabeth Levy, Austin, Texas. He had nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 1999 in the West Vancouver Legion Hall, 580-18th Street. MURPHY - Maureen Helen (nee Gardner). Passed away peacefully at home, May 28, 1999, with her twins Jamie and Michelle at her side. Maureen will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother, compassionate nurse, respected colleague and a caring and loyal friend. Throughout her life Maureen remained most comfortable when she was giving of herself rather than receiving from others. In her heart she always maintained a very special fondness for animals and the beauty of nature. O'LEARY - Mary Lynn (nee McIntyre). Her breath returned to her Creator sundown May 28, 1999. She breathed her first on June 7, 1917. She leaves her devoted and beloved husband, Edward William (Ted) of 59 years, daughter Maureen (O'Leary) Cameron, son-in-law Bill Cameron, granddaughters Lara and Jessica (Frank) Underhill. Her life was a service to God, her family and all who knew her. She sang God's praises in the St. Augustine's choir in the 1950's and 60's and then in the Horseshoe Bay Christian Fel-lowship and Normandy Hospital. She worked at Eaton's for 25 years and opened the Men's Furnishing Department at Eaton's Park Royal in 1962. Thanks to the staff at West Van Care Centre who have lovingly cared for Mary these last 4 years.
