MURPHY - John. Passed away May 6, 2000. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2000 at the Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Clinic. First Memorial 980-3451

WRIGHT - Mary. Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on August 25, 1910. Passed away peacefully in North Vancouver on Saturday, May 6, 2000. Predeceased by her loving husband Jim. Survived by her children Dora Thompson (Harvey), Calgary and Garth Wright, Abbotsford; seven grandchildren, nine great -grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Also survived by her sisters, Mrs. Flo Janes, Surrey, Mrs Elizabeth Holt, Edmonton and by her sister-in-law Miss Jean Wright, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by her granddaughter Nancy Thompson. Lovingly remembered by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at the Boal Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1505 Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver on Friday, May 12, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association. PAUWELS - Esther Anne. Born July 6, 1917 in Cranbrook B.C. A longtime resident of Victoria, B.C. Esther passed away on Mother's Day, May 14, 2000 at Evergreen House, North Vancouver. Predeceased by husband, Fred. She is survived by her loving family, sons Ray (Lynne) and Ron (Kenda), grandchildren Ursula Smith (Mike), Justin, Lindsay, Bryant, Kyle and Kolby Pauwels, Tim and Megan Owen-Evans, great-granddaughters Rachael Smith and Asante Pauwels, and sisters Sadie Hill and Marjorie Sheldrake. Esther will be greatly missed by her family and many wonderful friends. Special thanks to the staff at Evergreen House 3S. No service at her request. KRAWCHUK -Lawrence. Born April 13, 1931 in Manitoba. Passed away peacefully on May 13, 2000 after a short bout with cancer. Larry is survived by his loving wife Liz; his sisters Millie, Alice, Shirley; his daughters Cheryl, Cathy and Debbie; sons Lawrence, Richard and Ron and his many grandchildren. Services will be held at Boal Chapel, North Vancouver at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2000. Reception will follow at Eagles Hall, North Vancouver. No flowers.

WIEBE - Tracey Lynn of North Vancouver, age 32. Passed away peacefully on May 11, 2000 at Vancouver General Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Tracey was predeceased by her twin brother Scott in 1991, her grandparents Lorne and Audrey MacDougall and Grandpa Henry P. Wiebe. She is lovingly remembered and forever missed by her parents Hank (Henry) and Jean, husband Jerry Santa Cruz, Grandma Wiebe, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A service in her memory will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2000 at 3:30 p.m. at the North Lonsdale United Church, 3380 Lons-dale Ave, North Vancouver. The Reverend Dr. Don Faris will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully appreciated by the V.G.H. Leukemia B.M.T. Research Program, 855 West 12th Ave, Vancouver, B.C. V5Z 1M9. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the entire staff of E 6, D 10 and I.C.U. who cared for Tracey with unbelievable love and devotion.

BARRY - Nancy Gladys (nee Cole). Passed away May 11, 2000 at North Shore Private Hospital in Lynn Valley. Nancy was born on September 10, 1922 in St. Paul, Alberta. She grew up on her parent's farm, Hugh and Edith Cole, near Owlseye, Alberta. During W.W.II, Nancy served for five years in the RCAF WD as an accountant at various locations across Canada. After the war, she settled in Vancouver and in June 1957 married Graydon Barry. Graydon and Nancy moved to North Vancouver and operated the Home Oil service station in Lynn Valley until 1973. In the spring of 1999, Nancy moved into North Shore Private Hospital. Nancy is survived by her husband, Graydon, son and daughter-in-law Lawrence and Valerie of North Vancouver, sisters June Einarson (Carl) of Vancouver and Myrtle Lemery of Seattle, WA, and sister-in-law Pauline (Peg) Cole of Owlseye, Alberta. She was predeceased by her brother Earl Cole. Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at North Shore Private Hospital who treated her with care and respect during her time there. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's name may be made to the Lynn Valley Care Centre - Activity Fund, 1070 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver, B.C. V7J 1Z8

CARTHY - Minnie Catherine. Passed away May 12, 2000 at Evergreen House in North Vancouver. She is predeceased by her husband Cyril (1974). Minnie lived most of her life in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario and came to B.C. in 1994. She is survived by daughter Ann Carthy and her husband Bruce Wild, grandchildren Chuck (Christine) Henderson, Jo-Anna (Daniel) Cannon; great-grandchildren Lauren, Michael and Joel and brother Thomas Hall. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2000 at the Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver. Flowers gratefully declined. First Memorial 980-3451

MESSERSCHMIDT - Gisela (nee Link) 1928 - 2000. On May 14th my beloved Gisela entered into rest after long and painful suffering. We shared 52 joyous years together, now I have lost the light of my life. I grieve for her deeply. ZIMMAR - Lila Josephine (nee Ray). Died peacefully on May 9, 2000 at the age of 81 in Seattle, WA. Predeceased by husband Joseph in 1997. Survived by her children, David (Gilda), Michael (Mary Lynn); grandchildren David and Sascha; brothers Joseph (Margaret), William (Sylvia); nephews, Jeffrey, Michael and Joseph; neices, Jacqueline Maureen, Cathy and Lisa. Lovingly remembered forever.

COLPITTS - Barbara Bain. Peacefully completed her life's journey on May 11, 2000, 9 days before her 90th birthday. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Frank of 65 years; children Grant, Jane, Lynne and Ron; six grandchildren Jillian, Carolynne, Jennifer, Ian, Blake and Bradley; six great-grand-children; sister Isa; as well as many other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff at West Van Care Centre. LACKMANCE - Frederick. Born August 28, 1911 in Woodlands, Manitoba. Passed away May 23, 2000 in his 89th year. Predeceased by his brother Frank Hallow, and sisters Anne Wiseman and Mary Sherman. Survived by his wife Lucille (Lepitre), son Fred Jr. (Eiko, Naomi, Kenzo, Sara), daughter Betty Maxmenko (Marvin) and sister Kathleen Cockrill. After returning from overseas, founded Royal Plumbers in the late 40's but because the name couldn't be incorporated (the queen wouldn't sit on his throne), changed the name to Empire Plumbing and Heating Ltd., which he operated with his partner Nels until their retirement in 1986. Reception for family and friends to be held at Boal Chapel, First Memorial Services, 1505 Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver on Sunday, May 28, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kiwanis Care Centre North Shore.

FLINDALL - Evelyn. Born May 28, 1943. Passed away May 23, 2000. Survived by husband Ray, son Harold, daughter Leora, and two grandchildren Dustin and Kristen. A memorial service May 31, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. Eagles Hall, 170 West 3rd, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations to B.C. Cancer Association.

COWLEY - Herbert Charles. Died peacefully on May 23, 2000 in his eighty-seventh year. Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Jacqueline; sons Vaughan and Peter (Joanne); his granddaughter Jessica; step-daughters Kirsten McDougall, Valerie (Richard) Dunsterville, Jackie (Barry) Callaghan, and Louise Clark; and by his step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. The family offers very special thanks to Hospice and asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to this loving group of volunteers.

CAVANAUGH - Marjorie Eleanor "Ellie". Passed away peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital on May 22, 2000 one week after her 70th birthday. Ellie will be sadly missed by her husband Robert "Bob" of 44 years, brother Robert Tait of Winnipeg, many brother and sister-in laws, 25 nieces and nephews, 16 great-nieces and nephews, as well as her many friends, and those whose lives were touched by her never ending selfless service. Special thanks to her niece Sarah Cavanaugh who came from Idaho to comfort her in her final days. A service in her memory will be held Saturday, May 27 at 2:00 pm at Boal Chapel 1505 Lillooet Rd. North Vancouver.

WARDROPER - Eileen May (nee Waghorn). Passed away peacefully at Kiwanis Care Center on May 23, 2000 at the age of 82. She is predeceased by her husband John, son-in-law Dale Wentland and sister Violet Diana. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, daughters Peggy Casano (Phil), Lynne Wentland and son Dick (Judy); 11 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; daughter-in-law Carol Wardroper; three brothers and five sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. No service by request. In lieu of flowers donations to Salvation Army, 105 West 12th St, North Vancouver, B.C.

OBERREICH -Richard. Aged 68. Passed away May 20, 2000 after a long illness. Richard is survived by his wife Brenda, son Chris and family in Germany and Sweden. No ceremony by request. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations made to the Diabetes Association or the B.C. Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.

NAHANEE - Teresa Anne (nee Baker) of North Vancouver, B.C. Passed away on May 21, 2000, age 50. Teresa was a proud member of the Squamish Nation, the granddaughter of the Late William Baker and Caroline Sparrow, and Howard and Florence Hamilton. She will be sadly missed by many loving relatives and dear friends. Shaker Prayers will be offered on Sunday, May 28, 2000, 7:00 p.m. at Squamish Nation Recreation Centre, North Vancouver, B.C. RIPP - Gerda. Passed away peacefully on May 21, 2000 in North Vancouver at age 73. She will be lovingly remembered by son Roy and partner Marion; daughter Eveline and husband David Thulin; four grandchildren Laura, Cher, Trina and Martin and five great-grandchildren; and brother Eberhard Below. Sadly missed by Joyce, Julia and Chris, and her many friends and students whose lives she touched. No service at her request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.

HARRIS - Mona Costain. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Harris. Passed away in North Vancouver, B.C. on May 23, 2000 at the age of 89. Mona will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by daughters, Madeline (Murray) West, Elizabeth (Lib) and (Rob) Hawker; grandsons, Brian (Cecilia), Trevor, Tim (Susanne), Scott (Nicole); great-granddaughter Lexie.
