PAUWELS - Esther Anne. Born July 6, 1917 in Cranbrook B.C. A longtime resident of Victoria, B.C. Esther passed away on Mother's Day, May 14, 2000 at Evergreen House, North Vancouver. Predeceased by husband, Fred. She is survived by her loving family, sons Ray (Lynne) and Ron (Kenda), grandchildren Ursula Smith (Mike), Justin, Lindsay, Bryant, Kyle and Kolby Pauwels, Tim and Megan Owen-Evans, great-granddaughters Rachael Smith and Asante Pauwels, and sisters Sadie Hill and Marjorie Sheldrake. WIEBE - Tracey Lynn of North Vancouver, age 32. Passed away peacefully on May 11, 2000 at Vancouver General Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Tracey was predeceased by her twin brother Scott in 1991, her grandparents Lorne and Audrey MacDougall and Grandpa Henry P. Wiebe. She is lovingly remembered and forever missed by her parents Hank (Henry) and Jean, husband Jerry Santa Cruz, Grandma Wiebe, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. BARRY - Nancy Gladys (nee Cole). Passed away May 11, 2000 at North Shore Private Hospital in Lynn Valley. Nancy was born on September 10, 1922 in St. Paul, Alberta. She grew up on her parent's farm, Hugh and Edith Cole, near Owlseye, Alberta. During W.W.II, Nancy served for five years in the RCAF WD as an accountant at various locations across Canada. After the war, she settled in Vancouver and in June 1957 married Graydon Barry. Graydon and Nancy moved to North Vancouver and operated the Home Oil service station in Lynn Valley until 1973. In the spring of 1999, Nancy moved into North Shore Private Hospital. Nancy is survived by her husband, Graydon, son and daughter-in-law Lawrence and Valerie of North Vancouver, sisters June Einarson (Carl) of Vancouver and Myrtle Lemery of Seattle, WA, and sister-in-law Pauline (Peg) Cole of Owlseye, Alberta. She was predeceased by her brother Earl Cole. Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at North Shore Private Hospital who treated her with care and respect during her time there. CARTHY - Minnie Catherine. Passed away May 12, 2000 at Evergreen House in North Vancouver. She is predeceased by her husband Cyril (1974). Minnie lived most of her life in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario and came to B.C. in 1994. She is survived by daughter Ann Carthy and her husband Bruce Wild, grandchildren Chuck (Christine) Henderson, Jo-Anna (Daniel) Cannon; great-grandchildren Lauren, Michael and Joel and brother Thomas Hall. After returning from overseas, founded Royal Plumbers in the late 40's but because the name couldn't be incorporated (the queen wouldn't sit on his throne), changed the name to Empire Plumbing and Heating Ltd., which he operated with his partner Nels until their retirement in 1986. COWLEY - Herbert Charles. Died peacefully on May 23, 2000 in his eighty-seventh year.
