Born April 11, 1917, passed away December 24, 2003 in Fraserview Intermediate Care Facility in Richmond, BC. Charlie is survived by his daughters Wendy (John) Turner and Lori (Greg) Kirk. His grandchildren Jeff, Carly, Scott, Chad and Neil. Survived by his brothers Alan (Betty) Art (Juanita) his sisters Gladys Clarke, and Florence (Bob) Gerlock. Predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years Jean, brothers Hillis, Dick, Wilfred and Arnold and his sisters Grace and Rena. Charlie was a long time member of the Richmond Winter Curling Club and enjoyed golfing a few times a week until his health began to fail. Charlie will be remembered with a memorial service on Saturday January 3, 2004 at Brighouse United Church, 8151 Bennett Road, Richmond, BC at 1:00 PM. KRAHN - George
Born July 31, 1927 at Aberdeen Saskatchewan, he passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord at St. Pauls Hospital (Cardiac Unit) on December 24, 2003. He leaves behind his loving wife Hildegarde, his children, Pat (Doug) Osborne, Dayle (Kelley) Krahn and Donna (Jeff) Peters, grand children, Kurtis Osborne, Adam and Morgan Krahn and Taylor and MacKenzie Peters, brothers Henry, Herb (Anne) John (Evelyn) and sister Breata (Hank) Klassen as well as many nieces and nephews. Services were held Tuesday, December 30th at South Delta Baptist Church. Many thanks to Dr. Art Shier and to the staff at St. Paul's hospital for their care and support over the last eleven months. Age 87 years, passed away peacefully at 4:30 a.m. on December 20, 2003. HENRIKSSON - ALLAN Birger
Allan passed away December 20, 2003 with his family at his bedside after a brave battle with cancer. Born January 13, 1934 in Soderbarke, Sweden, Allan served with the Jagar ("Rangers") Skolan in Sweden and U.N. Forces in Korea before emigrating with Pia to Canada in 1957, where their three children were born. Allan worked over 40 years in Vancouver's travel industry. He was a caring, hard worker, loyal and considerate. Allan loved big band music, news and golf. Predeceased by his son Lennart, 2002. Allan will be sadly missed by Pia, son Michael, daughter Christina (Randy), Samantha, Nicholas, Maia and Marianne, as well as many friends, relatives and the Thursday Night Gang. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at Highlands United Church, 3255 Edgemont Blvd, North Vancouver, B.C. RUDDEN - Norman Byron.
Born October 30th, 1940, passed away on December 25th, 2003, at home surrounded by his family after a well fought battle with cancer. Survived by his wife Glenys, children Sherry, Christopher and Carolyn, sister Sharon and brother-in law P.J. (Jim) Welsh of Burnaby, brother-in-law Graeme Manifold of Australia, step father Dan Sandmo, as well as, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews in Canada, USA, Scotland and Australia. Norm loved traveling, skiing and long trail walks but golf was his passion. He played at every opportunity on many courses both in North America and around the world. Many thanks to all the doctors and nursing staff who helped Norm along the way especially Drs., C.D. Hayward, P. Klimo, S. Nantell and N. Voss. A memorial service will be held at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, Wednesday, December 31st at 2.00 pm. REICHHARDT Walter Ludwig Wilhelm Passed away peacefully August 19, 2003 in Delta Hospital with his family and friends present. Born December 29, 1917 in Bad Lauterberg, Germany. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years Waltraud, sons Juergen (Helena) and Gordon (Susan); four grandchildren; Natasha, Desiree, Stephan and Kimberly, his brother Alfred (Lisa) and many other family members and friends. Walter and Waltraud with their first son Juergen immigrated from Germany to Canada in 1952 and settled in Windsor, Ontario where their second son Gordon was born. After two years the family moved to Vancouver where Walter lived and worked until his retirement. After retirement, Walter and Waltraud moved to Tsawwassen to enjoy their life together. Surrounded by his pastor and family, passed away peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital on Monday, August 25, 2003 after a lengthy and courageous battle with leukemia. He was born October 20, 1936 in Vancouver, Washington.
He moved with his family to the north shore in 1985; and worked in the pulp and paper industry for 46 years, where he was well respected by his peers.

Of Langley, B.C. passed away August 23, 2003 after an extended illness.
Born in Germany on August 24, 1910, she was the daughter of Frank and Anna Oblak.
Predeceased by her husband Stewart Douglas and brother Max Oblak.
Mary is survived by her loving family; daughters Sheila Douglas of Charleston, South Carolina, Frances Metcalf and her husband William (Bill) of Langley, and Gail Douglas of Vancouver; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

WEAIRE - Robyn Georgina
Aged 69 Robyn passed away suddenly August 17, 2003, in Maple Ridge, B.C.
Born in St. Ives, England June 22, 1934, Robyn came to Canada in 1964.
An Engineering Draughtsperson by trade, Robyn was involved in numerous Canadian and international engineering initiatives, including the TRIUMF Project at UBC.
Robyn is survived by children Mark (Cory), Iain (Michele), Fiona and Neil, grandchildren Keith and Alyson, brother Terry (Margaret), and sister June. Robyn's immediate family will be holding a private service in Vancouver, and memorial gathering will be held on September 28th, from 1 to 3 pm, at the Cameron residence in Maple Ridge.

McLAREN - Dorothy Irene
Passed away peacefully on August 22, 2003, at the age of 80 years.
Predeceased by her husband, Arthur, survived by her brother Don Baxter and her three sons, James (Elisa), Douglas (Gwen) and Malcolm (Roberta), six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Dorothy was born in Calgary and moved to Vancouver in 1929.
In 1943 she married Arthur, who formed Allied Shipbuilders in 1948.
A devoted wife and mother, Dorothy was active in many community services including Meals On Wheels on the North Shore.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at West Vancouver United Church, 21st & Esquimalt.

Passed away after a brief fight with cancer August 27, 2003. He was born in Weyburn, Sask., January 26, 1920.
Served time in the Canadian military and then spent the majority of his working years with CT & S (BC Tel).
He retired in 1980 and spent his retirement years contently indulging in his passion for electronics, ham radio and golf.
Ron is survived by his wife Eunice (nee Cox); son Mike (Carol); brother Alan; sister Yvette and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial celebration will be held Sunday August 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Ron & Eunice's home.
