Thomas George Ellis
July 1, 1948 to April 18, 2003
Taken from us so suddenly as a result of a tragic motor vehicle incident. He will always be loved and missed by his family. His best friend and loving wife of 34 years, Janette. Their two wonderful daughters Robin (Dorian) and Jackie (Rick). He is survived by his mother Anne and father-in-law, Jack Pollard, sisters Pat (Don) Robinson, Carol (Roger) Ansell, Audrey Ellis (Ivy) and brother Brian. Sisters-in-law Esther (Norm) Evans, Lynn (Gary) Goranson, numerous nieces and nephews and a great many friends and acquaintances made through his involvement as an umpire, in the the sport of Fast Pitch and those in the drilling industry when he owned and operated Trojan Drilling Ltd. George was a hard working man, he loved his work, a dedicated employee earned him the title "Mainroad Man". No job too big or small. His passion for this lawn and garden always kept him busy along with the occasional round of golf and daily walks with his boys, Spud and Cooper. Most of all, he had learned to love life, the joy of having family and friends and the importance of sharing love. His spirit will alway be with us and guide us, for that was his belief. The family would like to thank Chief Jim Cessford and Staff Sergeant Hugh Davies, of the Delta Police Department, who bore the burden of notification, Bob Devaney and the staff of Mainroad Contracting for their assistance, Chaplain Jim Turner and the members of Victim Witness Services for their support. The love and comfort that was given by so many friends and co-workers. To My Family and Friends, Brass plaques or marble stones, may mark the place where you lay my bones. But they, too, can fall apart, I would like to be remembered in your heart. If, in your day, you do or say something I would have said, remember me, and laugh with me and I'll never really be dead. When leaves swirl around your feet or wind blows through your hair, it's just me having fun and you'll know I'm always there. Love, Dad Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 1:00 pm at Fraser Heights Funeral Home, 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey, B.C. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the charity of your choice. Fraser Heights 604-589-2559
