Nickason, Margaret
Margaret Elizabeth Ryan passed away after a lengthy illness on January 15, 2010 at the age of 67 years.
Margaret was born on September 6, 1942 in Regina, SK. She was married on December 26, 1969.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Mike Ryan, mother Bea McLean and father Cliff McLean. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons Kevin (Jane) Ryan of Manitoba and Darren (Colleen) Ryan of Kelowna, daughter Leslie (James) MacDonald of Francheie, AB, seven grandchildren Carrie Ann, Andrew, Bobby Joe, Raymond, Danielle, Tayler, Michael, one great grandchild Nikayla, two sisters, Sharon (Gerry) Bishop and Marlene (Blaine) McInnis, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday January 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Francis dela Cruz celebrant. Cremation followed the service.

Harold Ward Alexander Eby
September 21, 1926 - May 18, 2017
Born in Kitchener, Ontario, Ward passed away the way he had lived his life - with grace. He is survived by his loving partner, Anne Clemens, his son Fin (Jennifer), his daughter Tanya and grandson Alexander Mitchell, as well as siblings, nieces and nephews in Ontario and BC.
In his long life, Ward worked on U.N. relief ships to Europe and China, earned a degree from Western Ontario University, studied Spanish in Mexico, worked for Dodwell's, a British shipping agency on the Vancouver waterfront, and qualified as a teacher at UBC. He was hired by Coquitlam School District where he was a member of the original staff of Centennial School serving in the English Department and helping to produce the award-winning student paper The Catalyst. He retired in 1991. He will be remembered for his love of language, his wit and wisdom.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam. Special thanks to the staff and volunteers of Crossroads Hospice, who provided exemplary care. NICOL, Carol Ann (Kingsfield)
April 19, 1938 - May 11, 2017
With heavy hearts and fond memories, we announce the sudden passing of Carol. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Bill of 60 years, her three children; Lorrie (Leo), Daryl and Marilynn (Steve), her four granddaughters; Rebecca, Vanessa, Nicole and Katrina, and her two great- grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Burquitlam Funeral Home at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Anna May Boyer
1919 - 2015
Anna passed away peacefully at the age of 96 at Shaughnessy Care Centre in Port Coquitlam. Predeceased by her husband Cooke Wheeler Boyer, she is survived by her son Douglas (Elizabeth), daughter Heather, and two grandchildren, Warren (Shannon) and Suzanne (Brad). She is also survived by her sister Evelyn Timpe of Seattle.
Anna was born on February 3, 1919, in her grandmother’s log cabin near Meeting Lake in Saskatchewan and moved to New Brunswick with her parents and sister in the 1930s. Here she met her husband Cooke where they married in Centreville, New Brunswick. Anna and Cooke moved to Toronto before finally moving to Port Coquitlam where they spent the rest of their lives. Anna was a home maker and worked at Trinity United Church in the thrift store for forty years. Anna will be remembered for her devotion to her family. She also loved to bake and she was an amazing gardener. In later years, she traveled extensively with her sister Evelyn and brother-in- law George.
The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Shaughnessy Care Centre as well as Dr. Hacquebard (now retired) who was her doctor for many years.
Graveside service will be at Port Coquitlam Cemetery at 1:00 pm on December 11, followed by a memorial service and tea at 2:00 pm at Trinity United Church, 2211 Prairie Avenue, Port Coquitlam. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be gratefully appreciated.
Miro Angeles
1938 - 2016
Miro was born on March 24, 1938 in Mexico City.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia, his three sisters: Gloria, Lucia (Gerry) and Rosa; his daughter, Elaine (Wayne); his four step children: Linda (Brian), Gina (Kiddie), Dan and Cyndie (Mike); his step grandchildren: Brianne (Matt), Sean (Nicki), Alicia (Guthrie), Angelica, Greg (Amanda), Clare, Denise, Jake(Hayley); and his step great grandchildren: Sophie, Ian, Luc, Dom, Kaelas, Taetum and Alistair.
He also leaves behind many other relatives, good friends and neighbours.
Miro retired from BCIT in 2000 after a long and successful career teaching electronics.
He was very dedicated to his students and his profession.
His personal interests included walking – especially when accompanied by Max, travel and photography.
He was very well read and enjoyed discussing and debating many diverse subjects.
He enjoyed time spent with his family and was personally responsible for the many pictorial memories we have of our special occasions.
He shared his interests and his joy of learning with his grandchildren.
Miro was a very caring and compassionate person.
He was never too busy to lend an ear or a hand and took a genuine interest in the lives of others.
Miro will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Burton, Charles
Charles Roger Burton (Charlie to some) passed away peacefully to be with His Lord on February 2, 2009 at the age of 88 years.
Roger has travelled the world in the Merchant Navy from ages 15 to 19; served for the British in Libia during the 2nd World War; emigrated with his family from England to Canada in 1953 and re-established in Creston (his home) in 1970. He loved his farm and the people of Creston.
Roger is survived by 2 daughters Megan (Arnie) Redekop of Czar, AB and their children Jeff (Katie) and Erin and Lynda Reeder of Kelowna, BC and her children Rod Reeder, Rachel (Shawn) Gorney and grandchildren Ashley, Colton, Dillon and Noah Lynn.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday February 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Harry Haberstock officiating.

1945 - 2013
Passed away on December 17, 2013 at the age of 68. Predeceased by brother Buddy, mother Florence, father Colin, and sister Beverley.
Loved and missed by husband Patrick, son Troy, daughter in law Kimberley, granddaughters Emily, Mikayla and Chloe, sister-in-laws Olga Loutchan, Agnes Sihikalo, nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life to be held at Legion #263 in Coquitlam on January 4th, 2014 at 2:00pm.
Theresa Joan Turnbull
1933 - 2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa “Joan” Turnbull on April 23, 2015. Joan passed away peacefully with her two surviving sons at her side in Port Moody, B.C. Born August 11, 1933 in Belleville Ontario, Joan is predeceased by her parents Fred and Theresa Stewart and her oldest son Daniel Ross (Darlene). She is survived by her sons David and Douglas and grandchildren Kyle and Leah and many good friends in Kingston Ont., Oakville Ont.and Abbotsford, B.C..
Joan loved the finer things in life and was the classic homemaker. She had many hobbies including antiques, cooking, flowers, art, music and her cats! Joan loved to entertain in her home and in her younger years she was often “life of the party”.
The family is grateful to the staff of Cartier House and Eagle Ridge Manor for taking care of Joan in her final years. There will be no service and the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Abbotsford S.P.C.A.
