Hague, Donald (Don)
Donald Hague passed away on August 7, 2009 in Creston, B.C. at the age of 61 years.
Don was born Don Standring in St. John, NB on October 29, 1947. He legally added Hague as his surname to honour and show his love for his step-father. While growing up in Prince Rupert, Don was a member of the cadets. He worked as a Ford partsman first in Prince Rupert, then Swift Current, Saskatchewan and finally in Creston. Don enjoyed salmon fishing, crabbing, golf and bowling as well as having a Master’s Bowler Association Teachers certificate.
Don was predeceased by his birth father Doug Standring.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Ruth, mother Lorna and father Doug Hague of Prince Rupert, sons Anthony (Catherine) of Prince Rupert, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) of Victoria, sisters Linda (Ed) Boomer of Victoria, and Leona (Glen) Thicke of Prince Rupert, brothers Earl (Tracy) Terrace and Allan of Prince Rupert as well as grandchildren Allanah, Joshua, and Lucas of Prince Rupert.
There will be no funeral by request of the family. A Private Family Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date.

Pereverzoff, Winnie
Winnie Pereverzoff passed away from cancer in Burnaby, B.C. on July 30, 2009 at the age of 76 years.
Winnie was born on March 27, 1933 in Brilliant, B.C. to parents Mabel and John Pereversoff. She received her education in Creston, B.C.
Winnie was predeceased by her father John W. Pereversoff, mother Mabel Pereversoff and brother John J. Pereversoff. Winnie will be lovingly remembered by her brother Dr. Charles Sr. Pereversoff, brother Paul Pereversoff and nephew Dr. Charles Jr.
The funeral service was held on Saturday August 8, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Douhkobor Prayer Home - 3411 Erickson Rd. Erickson, B.C. Interment followed at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erickson, B.C.

Moon, Judy
Judy Michelle Moon (nee Turley) passed away after 2 and a half year battle with cancer on September 5, 2009 at the age of 60 years.
Judy was born on June 7, 1949 in Billings, Montana to parents Mary and Edward Turley. She attended elementary school in Worden, Montana and in March 1962 Judy moved to B.C. with her parents, brothers and sisters and settled in the Chilicotin, west of Williams Lake, B.C. Judy graduated from Williams Lake High School in 1967. On August 3, 1968 she married Charles Moon and they moved to Creston in November 1968.
Judy was a member of “Creston Young Women’s” (WI), Trinity United Church, Creston Valley Horse Association, B.C. Horse Council Zone 1 and the Creston Valley Regional Airport Society.
Judy was predeceased by her brother-in-law Shiraz Ali, grandparents, as well as several aunts and uncles.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Charles Moon, sons Chris (Dennis) of Vancouver, B.C. and Brian (Denise) of Victoria, B.C., granddaughter Aurora, parents Ed and Mary Katheryn Turley of Creston, B.C., sisters Teresa Ali of Cranbrook, B.C., Marcella (Rod) Spence of Revelstoke, B.C., Ann (Richard) Olesen of Victoria, B.C., brothers Mike (Karen) Turley of Penticton, B.C., Clarke (Dayle) Turley of Grand Prairie, AB, and Pat (Linda) Turley of Campbell River, B.C.
A Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday September 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Church with Pastor Harry Haberstock officiating. Interment followed at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Erickson, B.C.

Crowe, Mary
Mary Crowe passed away on August 20, 2009 in Creston, B.C. at the age of 94 years.
Mary was born on May 11, 1915 in Saskatchewan and she was married to Jack Crowe in 1962.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Jack in 1997, her son, Stareigh in 1992 and her first husband Claude Higgens in 1978.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Claudette Roemer from Langly, B.C., along with 7 grand children, 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great, great-grand children.

Sluz, Edna
Edna Sluz (nee Osiowy) passed away on September 18, 2009 at the age of 92 years in Creston, B.C.
Edna was born on May 29, 1917 in Lemberg, SK to parents Helen and Steve Osiowy. She married the love of her life Peter Sluz at Lemberg, SK on October 14, 1936. They homesteaded in Candiac, SK and later in 1943 bought a farm in Wolseley, SK where they mixed farming until her retirement to Creston, B.C. in 1971.
Edna was a member of the Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church and loved cooking, baking, gardening, her flowers were a joy to see, and she enjoyed travelling with her family members to many destinations throughout the world. She above all loved babysitting her grandchildren.
Edna was predeceased by her husband Peter Sluz, sons Marion and Irvin, sons in law Norman Dixon and Norman Hatt, granddaughter Michelle Sluz, grandson Aaron Kerekes, great-granddaughter Amanda Dixon and great-grandson Isaac Kerekes.
She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her friends and family, Jean Dixon of Grenfell, SK, Marie (John) Kerekes of Surrey, B.C., Steve (Rosemary) Sluz of Creston, B.C., Joy (Willie) Pelzer of Toronto, ON, Flo Hatt of Creston, B.C., James (Marilyn) Sluz of Wolseley, SK, and daughter in law Lil Sluz of Creston, B.C.
A Funeral Service was held on Saturday September 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church with Pastor Carl Sawler officiating. Interment took place following the service at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Erickson, B.C.

Taylor, Edna Mary
Edna Mary Taylor passed away on September 15, 2009 in Creston, B.C. at the age of 75 years.
Edna was born on June 24, 1934 in Port Arthur, ON to parents Mary and John Speirs. She was married to Thomas R. Taylor on September 8, 1951 and they celebrated 58 years of marriage this September 8, 2009.
Edna was predeceased by her daughter Kelly Lynn in 1982, grandson Cody, parents Mary and John Speirs, three sisters, Collen, Hilda and Gloria and two brothers George and Roy.
She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband Thomas, daughter Florence Mahoney, son Larry Taylor, two sisters, Arlene Baker of Thunder Bay, Ont. and Verna Rouse of Fruitvale,BC and five brothers, Jim, Glen, Gilmore, Brenard and Gary, all of Thunder Bay, Ont.
The Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday September 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the G. F. Oliver Funeral Chapel with Celebrant Tom Uhreniuk officiating.

Paul Rueben Cardiff passed away on September 12, 2009 in Creston, B.C. at the age of 56 years.
Paul was born on March 21, 1953 in New Glasgow, NS to parents William and Marjorie Cardiff. His hobbies included hiking, camping, fishing, berry picking, checking the weather and wild fire fighting.
Paul was predeceased by his parents William and Marjorie Cardiff. He will be lovingly remembered by his fiance Susan YanMil, son Matthew Cardiff, daughter Delilah Cardiff (Jamie Renz), step-son Willam VanMil, granddaughter Hailey Cardiff, brothers Tommy and Billy Cardiff of New Glasgow, NS and sister Doris Marquardt of Castlegar, B.C.
