Storm, Don
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Donald Glenn Storm, our dear brother, uncle, great uncle and great-great uncle on Tuesday September 8, 2009 at the age of 64 years.
Don was born in Pincher Creek, AB on August 25, 1945 to parents Grace and John Storm. He spent his life in Creston, Calgary, Rocky Mountain House and Toronto before returning to Creston to be back with those he loved. Dons passions were reading, writing, music, canoeing, riding his bike, current affairs and hockey. He was most content and happy when surrounded by family. Don touched many lives and was deeply loved.
Don was predeceased by his father John Storm, mother Grace Storm, brother Roy Storm, sister Marlene Douville and sister-in-law Anna Storm.
Don will be greatly missed by his brother Robert (Lorraine) Storm, brother-in-law Leo Douville, nieces & nephews Jim (Brenda) Storm, Laurie (Robert) Schemenauer, Gerry (Karri) Storm, Robin (Karen) Douville, Donna (Chris) Brass, Kevin (Anita) Storm, Neil (Kim) Douville, Gail (Matthew) Thompson, Julie Storm, Dawn Anderson, Derik (Tammy) Storm, and Craig (Lidka) Storm. Don was an amazing uncle to many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday September 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the G.F. Oliver Funeral Chapel with Jim Storm officiating.

Phillips, Norman
Norman George Leslie Phillips was called to his eternal rest with his family by his side on September 30, 2009 at the age of 91 years.
Norman was born near Hazenmore, SK on June 28, 1918 to parents Francis and Robert Phillips. The family moved to the Creston Valley in 1926 and this was home to him. He attended school in Creston and then at a very early age went to work doing whatever he could to earn money. He will be remembered for his stories of his huckleberry picking expeditions to sell the berries in Creston, of his herding sheep for Fred Smith near Kitchener and then of his being employed to work on the farm of the Huscroft family in Lister, B.C.
Norman enlisted in the Army and it was while he was in England that he met, courted and married Ellen Edith Wilson on July 3, 1945. He also worked in the forestry industry over the years and retired from the B.C. Forest Service as a scaler for Crestbrook.
Norman was predeceased by his wife Ellen in April 2009, his parents, three siblings in infancy, nephew Robert Montgomery, brother-in-law Albert Montgomery and Ed Hine.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son Leslie of Earl Grey, SK, daughter Betty of Creston, son George (Tarmi) and their children Brian and Kiandra of Richmond, B.C., son Peter (Carlin) and their children Nicole, Karl and Natalie of Vancouver, B.C., eldest grandson Trevor (Stephanie) Marzke and their children Viviane and Cedric of Creston, brother Gerald (Evelyn) and their families, sister Eva Hine and her families and his oldest sister Reetha passed away on October 9, 2009, her family remains to mourn them both.

A Celebration of Life Service was held on Sunday October 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Harry Haberstock officiating.

Tollefson, Kitty
Kitty Tollefson passed away suddenly on October 2, 2009 at the age of 66 years.
Kitty was born on March 2, 1943 in Weyburn, SK to parents Gladys and Almar Tollefson. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #29 in Creston, B.C.
Kitty was predeceased by her father Almar Tollefson. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brenda Chilson, Katherine Hansen and Mark Chilson, grandchildren Craig, Vanessa, Harley, Curtis, Shawna, Cole, Bryce, and Hanna, mother Gladys Tollefson, brothers Tomas, Richard, and Robert, sister Carol as well as many nieces and nephews and one great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life Service was held on Friday October 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #29 with Canon Randy Wood officiating.

Skilling, Beatrice (Bea)
Beatrice (Bea) Skilling (nee Mellen) passed away after a brief illness, at the Creston Valley Hospital on Monday September 14, 2009 at the age of 74 years.
Bea was born on December 4, 1934 in Shaunavon, Sask. to Margaret and Herbert Mellen. The family moved to Creston in 1947. Bea received her education in Creston and after graduation in 1953 she obtained a position with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce until her retirement in 1991.
Bea married George Skilling in Creston on December 15, 1962.
Bea was an active member of the Creston Curling Club for many years holding various positions.
Bea was predeceased by her mother, father and brother.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband George, sister Bernice (Don) Simmons, nieces Margie (Jim) Edmondson of Kelowna, B.C., Karen (Les) Brown and family (Alyssa and Brayden) of Kelowna, B.C., Della Crookshank of Red Deer, Alta and Margaret Lawrence of Fort McMurray, Alta.
A Private Family service will be held at a later date.

Mann, Milton
Milton Mann passed away on January 6, 2010 in Creston, B.C. at the age of 90 years.
Milton was born on June 18, 1919 in Angusville, MB to parents Annie and Charlie Moszumanski. Milton married Mary Falat in Vancouver, B.C. on March 13, 1943. Together they lived in many places, including Yahk, Creston, Fauquier, before retiring to Creston. Milton valued his faith and the fellowship of his church.
Milton was predeceased by his wife of over 60 years, Mary and a young daughter Beverley. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Reg, five grandchildren Lorne Mann of Creston, B.C., Darryl Mann of Brooks, AB, Wanda Soderstrom of Edmonton, AB, Sharlene Brown of Okotoks, AB and Shauna Norton of Duncan, B.C. as well as eleven great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service was held on Friday January 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the G.F. Oliver Funeral Chapel Ltd. With Arnold Blonke officiating. Cremation followed the service. Interment of Ashes to take place in the Westlawn Cemetery in Cranbrook, B.C.

Paquet, Yvon
Yvon Paquet passed away on February 1, 2010 in the Creston Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness at the age of 75 years.
Yvon was born in St. Donat Quebec to parents Seraphin and Albertine Paquet on October 17, 1934.
Yvon loved nature and worked as a logger/skidder operator for 40 years until his retirement in 1988.
He enjoyed wood working, camping, fishing, playing cards and board games with friends and family.
Yvon was predeceased by his parents Seraphin and Albertine Paquet and his brother Romeo Paquet.
He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife Monique Paquet, children Frank Prevost, Francine Prevost, Jacinthe (Paul) Castonguay, Nancy (Sylvain) Paquette, grandchildren Steve, Frank Jr., Norman, Mark, Vicky, Yvonne, Alyssia and Mirriam.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Michaud, Alain
Alain Rejean Michaud, beloved husband of Elizabeth of Boswell, B.C., passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on January 24th 2010 at the age of 68 years.
Alain (Al) was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on February 26, 1941.
Born into a mixed farming family, he developed many talents and passions and a strong work ethic.
Al completed his teaching certificate, met Liz, got married and raised a family in Calgary.
Al pursued his calling to teach and ended his career working for the Catholic Board of Education in Calgary.
It was his dream to build a house. That house became their home in 2000 overlooking beautiful Kootenay Lake where they made many good friends.
He was a talented gardener, painter, carpenter, mechanic, teacher, builder, wine-maker, golfer, fisherman and fix-it-man. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend.
Besides his loving wife Elizabeth, Al will be mourned by his mother Annette; children Todd (Nicole) and Nicole Michaud Howes (Jonathan); grandchildren Aurora & Violet and Oliver, Franco & Harry; brothers Rev. Gerald, Marcel (Linda), Norbert (Frances), Michel (Jeanne), brother in law Willy Emel; sisters Yvette Koeller (Everett) and Beatrice Lambert (Armand), sister in law Dianne Michaud, sister in law Judy Mitchell (Randy) and brother in law Ken (Carol) Scott; and many nieces and nephews. Al was predeceased by his father Emile, brother Leonard and sister Suzanne Emel, father in law Garth Scott, mother in law Donna Scott, and nephew Jed Mitchell.
Good-bye Al, we will miss you.
Prayers will take place at Boswell Hall, B.C. on January 27th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Creston, B.C. on January 28th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Gerald Michaud celebrant.
Cremation to follow the Service.
Interment of ashes to take place at a later date at the Boswell Community Cemetery, B.C.
