NUGENT, Shirley E.
Born 1927, Montreal.
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Shirley Nugent (nee Clark) on December 16th after a short but courageous struggle with a brain tumour. Predeceased by her husband of over 56 years, Michael Nugent, she will be remembered with love and greatly missed by her daughter Jennifer (Dufour), son-in-law Paul and her grandson Mike as well as by her dear dog Mickey. Shirley's family would like to thank her good friend Edith and her neighbour Cathy for their support and kindness and also to extend their thanks for the love and support of the many relatives and friends in Richmond and across the rest of Canada and the United States.
Shirley's favourite expression was "live and let live" and with her kind heart, generous nature and boundless compassion she lived her life well.
The family would also like to thank Dr. Quelch for the compassion and the care of both Shirley and Mike and to the team on 4 North of the Richmond Hospital for their kindness. As well, thanks go to the staff and residents on 3 West of Minoru Residence where Shirley ended her journey.

Born September 6, 1921 at Ayr Scotland passed away on December 16, 2007. Predeceased by her sister Nan, brother Bill and nephew Bob and survived by many friends and acquaintances. Sadie was a veteran having served as a Wren with the British Navy in the Second World War. Sadie emigrated to Canada as a young woman and is well remembered by her co-workers at Zellers where she worked for 18 years and by her many friends at Minoru Garden Apartments where she was a long time resident. Fiercely independent, with a strong wit she will be missed by all those who knew her. In lieu of flowers or cards, donations may be made to Richmond General Hospital.

YAGI, Tamaye (nee Furutani) was born in New Westminster July 05, 1919 and a Richmond resident since 1980. She peacefully slipped away surrounded by family on December 13, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband Mitsuo and her brothers Minoru, Isamu, Yoshio, Akira and sister Mabel Otsuki . She is survived by her sister Shizuko Kawata, brother Don (Yutaka) and sister Clara Mar. She will be greatly missed by her children Marion Carmona, Jean Matsuda, Maxine Yagi-Jego, Bryan Yagi, Linda Funk, her grandchildren Dion and Lara Carmona, Corine Ryski and Mie Lee-Steere, Eric Jego and Miyouki Skeith, Nathan and Tyler Funk, Jane and Noah Yagi & five great-grandchildren.
Tamaye was passionate for life. She was an avid gardener, bowler, dancer, knitter, bridge player, Marietta seamstress, and enjoyed real estate and investing. Those who met her were struck by her outgoing and vibrant character and positive outlook on life. Tam loved good food, a good party, and a good laugh.
A celebration of her life will be held in Winnipeg at a later date in 2008.

DUGDALE, GRAHAM passed away suddenly December 10. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his loving wife Joan, sons Brian ( Yvonne) and Paul. Born in Sunderland, England on November 11, 1920 he served in the RAF during World War Two. He was a prisoner of war 1944-45. After the war he emigrated with Joan to Canada and served in the RCAF for 22 years. He later worked at Celtic shipyards in Vancouver. Many thanks to the caring staff at Richmond Dialysis, especially Carol and Edna, the staff and doctors at Vancouver Dialysis, the staff at 3rd floor North tower Richmond Hospital. Donations in Graham's memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

Trig (Fred) lived in Southern Alberta until he was 18 yrs old and then moved to Steveston, B.C. for the remainder of his life. He worked at B.C. Packers for 46 years. He retired in 1991 and got to help everyone else for the next 16 years. He was never happier than when he was doing something with his hands or spending time with his family.
In the last year his heart condition slowed him down so that he couldn't putter around so much. So he took to praying for all of us, as what he could do.
Trig died peacefully in his sleep, at home, and has gone to be with his Lord.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Phyllis, of 53 years, daughters Kim (John) Alexis, Lisa (Dale) Enns, and four special grandchildren, Orion, Seth, Joash, and Anna Alexis, sister Anne (Henry) Adrian, and brothers Abram, Pete (Dorothy), Eric and Nick and sister-in-laws Katie and Norma Enns and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 10 at 11:00 am at Fraserview MB Church at 11295 Mellis Dr. Richmond, B.C.

Born in Vancouver January 24, 1913, passed away December 5, 2007 after a life of many contributions. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Eleanor, in 2005. He will be very much missed by his daughters Sheila and Linda, his son-in-law Ken, his grandchildren Glen and Leanne, his sister Evelyn and brother-in-law Bill (of California) and the rest of his family and friends, all of whom meant so much to him. John was a builder in Richmond and Vancouver from the 1940's to the 1980's.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Audrey Baron on Dec 5, 2007. She will be lovingly missed by her family- son: Wayne ( Sandra ) daughter; Donna; grandchildren; Jeffrey, Coreena and Carrie; her brothers Calvin, Ray (Joey), sister ;June, nieces and nephews;brother & sister in laws. Audrey is pre-deceased by her parents William and Mina, brother Roy, sister; Mary Jessie, grandson; Kevin, granddaughter Jackie and recently her cherished partner of 65 years and loving husband, Steve. Audrey was born Sept 12, 1920 in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba, the eldest of 4 children. She was a strong support to her mother in helping to raise her brothers and sisters. Hard work and caring for others was Audrey's life long journey. Audrey married Steve in 1942 in Dauphin, Manitoba. They later moved to Winnipeg where they raised their family and in 1958 Audrey graduated with her L.P.N. at Concordia Hospital. In that same year they bought and operated Stradbrook Nursing Home until 1968.
After moving to Richmond B.C. they continued to fulfill their lifelong passion to care for the elderly and they built Fraserview Intermediate Care Lodge. Audrey was initiated in 1972 to the Eastern Star (Richmond chapter 73), and a member of the Daughters of the Nile, and a past Royal Queen of the Amaranth.
She passed away peacefully at Fraserview Int Care surrounded by family and her loving, compassionate Fraserview staff to whom the family express their deepest gratitude.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 19th, 2007 @ 10:30 a.m. at The Richmond Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Surrey B.C.
