Mr. Bradley Leon Lucier
March 2, 1959 - March 2, 2008

On Sunday, March 2, 2008, the date of his birth, with his family by his side, Brad slipped peacefully into eternal sleep.

Brad is survived by: his very dear friend, Janet and her daughters Kaitlin, Natasha and Alicia, his father, Albert, brothers Darryl (Jane), Raymond (Rose), Dwayne, sisters Pam (Rick), Colinda, Crystal (Bill), Grandma Jerome, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends including special friends Eva, Kelvin, Vincent, Owen, Barb, his mentor Andrew, and his “little brother”, Jesse. He was predeceased by: his mother, Yvonne and Grandma Lucier.

Brad’s playful personality and cheerful smile were well known to everyone in his circle of family, friends and co-workers.

He loved to talk and to laugh. He also enjoyed spirited “discussions” where he could express his opinions.

Brad had a generous, kind spirit and a very special place in his heart for children and youth.

He volunteered with the Big Brothers Association in Winnipeg where he was a “big brother” to Jesse for 9 years. They stayed in touch always. When Brad moved to Yorkton, he once again got involved with the Big Brothers Association and worked with young people through the Dreambuilder’s Program and at St. Mary’s School.

In spite of his life-long struggles with his health including a kidney transplant in 1994, Brad stayed actively involved in sports. He spent many hours in the gym at Sanford Collegiate, on the hockey ice, and on the golf course. As an adult, Brad shared his love of hockey as a dedicated coach, often with his long-time friend, Gary.

Brad remained positive and optimistic to the end of his life, protecting his loved ones by dealing with his illness privately.

We love you, Brad. That strong beautiful spirit of yours is now free.

Cremation has taken place. You are invited to a Service of Remembrance on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Home, 357 Des Meurons Street.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: Transplant Manitoba-Gift of Life Program, Rm. GE441, 820 Sherbrook St., R3A 1R9 or CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or a charity of your choice.
