Agnes Berg, 93, of Steinbach, MB, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the Rest Haven Personal Care Home, Steinbach, MB.
She is survived by four daughters, four sons, and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband Abraham and one daughter.
The funeral service for Agnes Berg will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 11:30 a.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, with interment at Heritage Cemetery.

CAROLINE GIESBRECHT
Caroline (Mrs. Frank P. Giesbrecht), 101, of Steinbach, formerly of Greenland, passed away Sunday, July 7 at Maplewood Manor.
She is survived by six daughters, two sons, her twin sister, and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank P. Giesbrecht.
The funeral service will be Thursday, July 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Greenland Church of God in Christ, Mennonite with burial at the church cemetery. Viewing will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel Wednesday, July 10 at 7:30 with a devotional at 8:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service.

PAUL GLENN ANDERSON
Paul Anderson, of Buffalo Point, MB, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 8, 2013 in Winnipeg at the age of 68.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Turkey, his children Paula (Lorne), David (Brenda), and Jeff (Mel), his grandchildren Ryan, Robyn, Raelyn and Molly. Paul also leaves many dear friends, too many to mention.
A special thank you to the First Responders, The Comfort Inn and CancerCare for all your support.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the Middleboro Community Hall.

BEREND DUECK
Peacefully with his family by his side, on Monday, July 8th 2013, at the Thompson General Hospital, Mr. Berend Dueck, aged 81.
Left to mourn is his beloved Spouse: Elizabeth Howard, Daughter: Chrystal Chantel (Rick) and Grandsons: James Bowman, Jessie Bowman and Michael Bowman.
Also left to mourn , not in Thompson, are his Daughters: Sylvia Dueck, Sharon Dueck Niles (Shawn) and Marlene Dueck Lundy (Peter), Son: Danny Dueck. Grandchildren: Jennifer Doiron (Shawn), Katrina, Kendra, Matthew, Nicholas, Caitlin, Cody, and many more family members.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, July 16th 2013 at the Army/Navy and Air Force Veterans Hall in Thompson with Major Betty Lou Topping officiating. Burial will take place at the Steinbach Heritage Cemetery at a later undetermined date.
HENRIETTE FONTAINE (nee MORIN)
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Hero and Mother on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the age of 76 years. Henriette will be missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Lynne Tessier (Roger), Ronald Fontaine and Monique Grenier and dearly missed by her eight grandchildren Allie (husband Miguel Cure), Janique, Nikolas, Kristian, Joey, Tristan, Shanelle and Stephanie as well as her great-grandchild Lexi. She also leaves her siblings Lorraine Forest (Louis), Orile Morin, Gisele Comeau (Donald), Celine Carroll (Jim), Leonne McArthur (Brian) and Yolande Devlin and many nieces and nephews. Henriette will also be remembered with great love and admiration by her special friend Elva Martel and many other dear friends as well as the father of her children Paul. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Edmée Morin and infant brother Wilfred.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Pierre Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 23 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.

OREST DENNIS SOKOLIUK
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, son (in-law), brother (in-law) and uncle, Orest Dennis Sokoliuk, on July 14, 2013 at St. Boniface Palliative Care, at the age of 59.
Orest will be lovingly remembered by his loving and devoted wife Audrey, of 32 years. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother, Anne Sokoliuk, mother and father-in-law, Nick and Nettie Boychuk, brothers Ben, George (Carol), Emil (Jackie), foster brother Lawrence Dorie (Cathy), brothers-in-law Wayne Boychuk (Lynn), Ed Persowich, sisters-in-law Connie Boychuk, Bonnie Gushuliak (Wesley) and Sonia Kraynyk (Brian), numerous nieces and nephews. As well as many other family and friends. Orest was predeceased by his father, John Sokoliuk, brother Paul and sisters-in-law, Wendy Persowich, Mary Sokoliuk and Clover Sokoliuk.
Orest will be sadly missed but an angel has risen and will look after all of us, smiling down from the heavens and encouraging us through difficult times, especially Audrey.
Prayer services will be held on Friday, July 19th, at 7:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, MB. The funeral service will follow at St. Elias Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Sirko, MB on Saturday, July 20th, at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at the parish cemetery. William Ostrowsky passed away at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB.
William is survived by his loving wife Alice, his daughter Cindy (Jarvis) Hrynenko; grandson Glenn Hrynenko (Camie); brothers Maurice (Margaret) and Bob (Rose); sisters Florence (Ken) Neilsen, Rosie Smook and Ann Ostrowsky; sisters-in-law Nellie and Doreen as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Jacob H. K. Hiebert on Saturday, July 20th 2013 at the Ste. Anne Hospital at the age of 68.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife Maria (nee Goretti), his loving mother Katherina, three daughters and their families, and one son-in-law and his family. Along with five brothers and five sisters and their families, a Mother and Father-in-law, two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and their families in Azores, Portugal.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Phyllis Ann Harder, father Peter U. Hiebert and one son-in-law David Stahl.

Nick Chornopyski, age 76 years of Arbbakka, Manitoba passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at his residence. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean, 3 sons and their wives, and three grandchildren. Nick will also be missed by many family and friends.

It is with sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Ed Unrau at his home in Niverville on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the age of 80 years.
He is survived by his wife Helen of nearly 60 years, his children Jacob, Dan (Linda) and Katherine (Rick), and his grandchildren Jonathon, Jennifer (Chris), Kyle, and Mark. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two daughters in infancy.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Niverville CMC Church. Interment will follow at the Froese Cemetery near Altona, MB. Viewing will take place at the church prior to the service.

Michael Derzaph, 88, of Sarto, MB passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 27, 2013. He is survived by his wife Betty (nee Unrau). He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother,grandmother,great grandmother, & great,great grandmother. Annie passed away peacefully at the age of 95 July 28,2013.
She was predeceased by her loving husband William (2000); her sister Sophie Holod; Evelyn Tkachuk: & Mary Kosowan. Annie was born in Vita, Man. On April 7, 1918 to Michael & Particia Stachiw. Together with her husband she owned & operated for 2 decades {1950-1969} the licensed Shady Lawn Rest. & Motel.Baba will be sadly missed by all those that she new.

Peacefully on Sunday, July 28, 2013, John Giesbrecht passed away at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB at the age of 88 years.
John is survived by his wife Clemence Delorme, one daughter, two sons, one step daughter, four step sons and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, one son and one brother.

AGATHA BUECKERT (nee KRAHN)
After a lengthy battle with ill health, Agatha Bueckert passed away on July 29, 2013 at the age of 90 years.
Agatha was born in Russia on October 7, 1922 and immigrated to Canada along with her parents Henry and Susanna Krahn and one brother. They settled in Niverville, Manitoba. In July 1945, Agatha married Peter Bueckert and after three years of marriage they too settled in Niverville where they raised their four children.
Agatha was predeceased by her loving husband Peter in 2002, her parents Henry and Susanna, three brothers in infancy, brothers Herman and Henry, brother-in-law John Wiebe and sisters-in-law Erica and Nellie Krahn.
The funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr, Steinbach on Thursday, August 1 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing prior to the service. Interment in the Niverville Cemetery. Pastor Chris Marchand officiating.
