In Amaranth she became active in the community with W.I., the Amaranth Fair, winning many prizes, the Catholic Church, and later the New Horizon Senior Centre.
She loved to sew, to garden, and to go berry picking.
This was her passion.
At the ripe age of 80, Mom passed her drivers license test so as to be able to be more independent to hunt down the berry patches.
Our parents loved to travel to visit family in B.C., Alta., Toronto, and Wpg., and the once in a lifetime trips to Mexico, Arizona, Great Britain and Belgium.
Mom was always proud of her children, grandchildren and their accomplishments.
She always inquired about her great grandchildren.
Family was her first priority and she was happiest when we were with her to surround us with her love.
Prayers are in the Chapel at the Omega Funeral Home in Portage La Prairie on Friday, March 17th at 7:30pm.
