Edmond Dufault
Peacefully at the Brandon Regional Hospital on Tuesday August 26, 2003, Mr. Edmond Dufault of Haywood, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 92 years.
He leaves to mourn his passing 3 children: Marcel (Gail), Denis, and Lucien; 6 grandchildren: Michel, Gisele (Randy), René (Colette), Suzanne, Kimberley and Stefanie; 5 great-grandchildren: Cory, Kendra, Emelie, Eric and Patrick; 2 great-great-grandchildren: Thomas and Randy.
He also leaves to mourn one sister Anna Long and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Clemence in 1997.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Denis Roman Catholic Church in Haywood, Manitoba, on Saturday August 30, 2003, at 2 p.m. with Father Jean-Jacques Serçeau officiating.
Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.

THOMAS HAROLD ERNEST HAMBLIN
Peacefully, surrounded by family, our much loved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Tom, passed away on March 8, 2010 at the Morris Hospital at the age of 94.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Barbara (Ron) Landry, Patricia (Curtis) Evenson, Elaine (Ken) Johnson, and Robert (Arlene) Hamblin; his grandchildren Gregory (Lisa) and Erin Landry; Craig (Mandy), Nancy (Christian), Leanne (David), and Shelley Evenson; Carolyn (Brian) and Alan Johnson; Jeffrey (Heather) and Laurie (Karl) Hamblin; Josh Matthes; and his great-grandchildren Molly, Zach, Evan, Jax, and Katie.
He is also survived by his sister, Irene Calder.
Tom was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathleen; his brothers, Edward and Lloyd; and his sister Winnifred Nisely.
Tom was born in Woodmore, later moving to Greenridge and then in his late teens to St. Jean.
He married Kathleen Knowles on July 1, 1946, and they were blessed with over 57 years together.
Family and farming were Tom’s passions.
Tom retired from farming in 1976 after a heart attack and then continued to help on the farm into his 90’s.
The family wish to extend special thanks to the nursing staff at the Morris Hospital for their compassionate care.
A memorial service will be held in celebration of Tom’s life at 2:00 p.m. at the Morris United Church on Friday, March 12, 2010.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to Red River Valley Palliative Care or a charity of your choice.

BEVERLY ETHEL HALL
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom and Grandma Bev, on Tuesday May 18, 2010 at the Morris General Hospital.
Bev was predeceased by her husband Ken in 1993.
She leaves to cherish her memory; daughter Bonnie and Larry Austin, grandson Heath and Lori, great grandchildren Jack, Mary, and Grant, granddaughter Holly and Perry French, great grandchildren Kira, Nicholas, and Jessie Hiebert; daughter Ev and Ed Edel, granddaughter Kristie and Ryan Worthington, great grandson Keegan, granddaughter Kellie and Matt Cornelsen, great granddaughter Madison.
Also surviving are her siblings Henry and Isabel Zarn, Pat and Vern Forbes, and Richard and Karen Zarn.
The family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nursing Staff of the Morris General Hospital, and the friends and family who dropped by to visit Mom.
Cremation has taken place, and the funeral service will be held at the Morris United Church on Saturday May 22 at 2:00 p.m.

SIMONE MARIE YVETTE BELL nee Combot
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Simone.
She left us peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, May 9, 2010.
Simone was born on February 7, 1940 in Aubigny and grew up in St. Germain.
She began her career with James Richardson & Sons in 1956 where she retired in 1998.
On September 3, 1960 she married the love of her life, Elgin Bell.
They loved travelling and enjoyed many trips together.
They spent many years continuing the horse racing tradition, especially at the Manitoba Stampede, and throughout Manitoba.
After her retirement, Simone enjoyed cutting their lawn on her riding mower, and learned to use her home computer.
She quickly got involved on the internet, and loved all the e-mail friends she shared time with.
Simone was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Melanie Combot, Bob and Florence Bell; her brothers Rene and Paul; her brothers-in-law Art Bell, Angus McLeod, and Bill Bell; and sister-in-law Marie Bell.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 49 years, Elgin; her sisters Annette (Oscar) Courchaine, Jeanine (Ray) Monita; her sisters-in-law Mona Combot, Diane Olivier, Lorraine McLeod, Dorothy (Paul) Leduc; many nieces and nephews, extended family, and many dear friends; and her faithful cat Buddy.
Thank you to Dr. Salem and the staff on the 4th floor of the Victoria Hospital for the kindness and care extended to Simone and her family.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 17 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic church, with Fr. Celestin Malengu Mubaya presiding.

SARA (SALLY) ABRAMS
Sara Abrams, aged 88 years, of Altona, formerly of Morris, passed away on Wednesday May 5, 2010.
She leaves to mourn her passing her son Clarence and wife Bev; granddaughters Ashley (Richard Webster) and Alexandra; as well as three sisters and one brother.
Sara was predeceased by her husband John and grandson Matthew.
The funeral service will be held at the Altona Sommerfeld Mennonite Church on Monday May 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
There will be viewing at the church prior to the service.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or CancerCare Manitoba.
SUSAN WIEBE
Susan Wiebe passed away peacefully April 30, 2010 at the Red River Valley Lodge reaching the age of 99 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Peter M. Wiebe on March 2, 2010, and two brothers Ben and Ed Giesbrecht.
Susan is survived by her son Bernhard and his wife Lucille; grandchildren Teresa and Dennis Rempel, Kimberly and Nelson Olfert, Karen and Mike Ketler, Sherry and Kevin Harder; and great grandchildren Breanne, Matthew, Caleb, Josh Luke, Conner, and LaDawn.
Susan was born February 17, 1911 to Peter and Katherina Giesbrecht.
She married Peter Wiebe October 7, 1937 and were blessed with 72 plus years together.
Mom enjoyed farming alongside Dad for many years and always had time to volunteer at the curling rink.
After they moved to Lowe Farm, Mom continued to help on the farm as well as painting and cleaning for others.
After Dad moved to the Lodge in 2005, she continued to live in her own home for another three years with the assistance of home care.
In 2008 she joined Dad at the Lodge where they spent the last two year together.
Mom was thankful for all the wonderful care she received and appreciated the staff very much.
The family extends their sincere appreciation for the wonderful care given to mom during her time there.

The funeral service was held on Monday May 3, 2010 at the Kronsweide Sommerfeld Mennonite Church.
LEOKADIA (KAY) KEIN
Kay was born Leokadia Kusmaul on February 1, 1930 in Vohlynia, Poland.
She immigrated to the Gretna area with her family at the tender age of four months.
She was united in marriage to Reinhold Kein in July 1951, and lived in the Ridgeville area.
She moved to Morris in 1979.
She went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on March 12, 2010, at her apartment in the Parkside Villa.
Kay was predeceased by her seven siblings, Lydia, Martha, Frieda, Olga, Danny, Emil, and Bob, as well as her son-in-law Jones Penner.
Kay enjoyed cooking and baking.
She was an accomplished seamstress, sewing all of her daughters' school clothes as they were growing up.
She also sewed for others.
She loved flowers and ornamental horses.
Kay accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour at evangelistic meetings held at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She was baptized and became a member on December 12, 1993.
She will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Judith Penner of Steinbach, Rhonda and husband Ronald Harder, Diane Kein, and Donna Kein, all of Morden.
Her funeral service was held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris on Wednesday March 17, 2010, with interment in the Morris Cemetery.
