AURORE McARTHUR (nee ASSELIN) 1925 - 2004 Peacefully in her sleep on August 1, 2004 at Sherman Oaks Hospital, Los Angeles, CA. She was predeceased by her parents, Hermas and Marie Louise Asselin. She is survived by her beloved sister Jeanne Kornberger of Winnipeg and her brother Armand Asselin (Maryann) of Canoga Park, CA. Loving aunt to Doreen Lewis (John) of Dublin, CA and Valerie Feuillatre (Herve) of Lorette, MB. In accordance with her wishes her ashes were scattered at sea in Laguna Beach, CA. Her memory will be cherished forever in our hearts.

CLARK McCRAE It is with great sadness the family of Clark McCrae announces his passing at the age of 57 years after losing his battle with cancer. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Hanna; their four sons and one daughter, Jason (Melodie) of Calgary, Jeffrey, James, Jonathan (special friend Andrea) and Jody, all of Edmonton; four grandsons, Chase, William, Scott and Andrew. Clark is survived by three brothers and two sisters, Karen McCrae of Saskatchewan, Terry (Becky) of Edmonton, James (Darlene) of Brandon, MB, Linda Tame (Reg) of Brandon, MB, Mike (Kayleen) of Leduc, AB and his mother Rose McCrae of Brandon, MB. He is also survived by his parents-in-law, Karen and Ivan Kaufmann and two brothers-in-law, Peter (Sandra) Kaufmann and John (Donna) Kaufmann and a special aunt, Gerda Pedersen, all of Winnipeg. Clark was predeceased by his father Howard G. McCrae of Brandon, MB. Clark was a favourite uncle to many nieces and nephews and he loved them all. He was an especially cherished nephew to his uncles, Harper and Jim, and Auntie Doris, all of whom have survived him. Clark had an outstanding career with Great-West Life for 32 years, where he developed friendships that would last all his life. Clark loved life, his family, his friends and his chosen career. Funeral service will commence at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1 at Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Rd. with interment immediately following. A celebration of Clark's life will be held at the Derrick Golf Club, 3500 - 119 St., Edmonton, at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 1. All his family, friends and colleagues are invited to attend. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or the Palliative Care Unit, St. Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital. A special thanks to the nurses of St. Joe's and to Dr. Michael Yan for the kindness that was shown to Clark and his family during this time. HELEN McPHAIL January 23, 1927 - August 23, 2004 A lifelong resident of Winnipeg, Helen passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness. She was a CPR employee from the age of 17 and an ardent supporter of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the arts. Predeceased by her parents, Earl and Margaret; and sister Marjorie; she is survived by her Goddaughter Laurie Denley (Gray); and lifelong friend Shirl. At Helen's request there will be no funeral. Instead a gathering to honour her memory will be held in the Kelsey Room, Holiday Inn Airport West, Friday, September 3 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation be made in Helen's memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Canada or the Winnipeg Humane Society.

ELSIE BERNICE BRACKEN (nee HINCHEY) Died suddenly March 9, 2004 at age 68 in Kelowna, BC. She is survived by husband Garth; sons, John (Leah) of Winnipeg and Thomas of Toronto; grandchildren, Ian and Paige; brothers, Raymond and Francis; sisters, Phyllis and Barbara. Her irrepressible love, generosity and sense of humour will be remembered always. At Elsie's request there will be no memorial service. VICTORIA (TORY) SYLVIA MELNYK (BOZYK) Very peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2004, Victoria (Tory) Sylvia Melnyk (Bozyk) passed away. A strong and beautiful woman, Tory will best be remembered for her sense of humour and unconditional love and acceptance of those around her. From the finger sandwiches she so lovingly made for her grandchildren, to the candy and treats she would hand out anytime you stopped by, she found a way to connect with everyone around her, and made sure that they felt appreciated. In her stylish black suits and colourful silk scarves, Tory was absolutely one of a kind. Few people can exude so much warmth or let you know how deeply you are loved with just a smile. Tory is survived by her daughter Tory; son Steve (Cheryl); and grandchildren, Susan and Steven Melnyk and Jonathan and Becky Doyle; as well as brothers, Ted Bozyk (Avis), Bud Bozyk (Cecile); and sister Vera Mardon (Harry) of Winnipeg. A special thank you to the wonderful staff of the Golden Door whose patience, kindness and experience has made this part a little easier. We will love you forever and ever, Grandma.
