SUKHDEV RANDHAWA
August 28, 2004
SUKHDEV SINGH RANDHAWA (1952 - 2004) Suddenly on August 25, 2004, Sukhdev Singh Randhawa passed away and left this world at the age of 52 to join Waheguru. Dad came to Vancouver in 1972 from Amritsar, Punjab with hopes, dreams and not a dime in his pocket. Dad worked a number of jobs before marrying Kuljinder Kaur (nee Dhaliwal), before settling in Winnipeg and working for CNR (Symington Yard) for the next 21 years as a machinist. He leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Kuljinder Kaur Randhawa; two daughters, Dr. Neelkamal Kaur Randhawa, Prabjot Kaur Randhawa and son Navdeep Singh Randhawa. He also leaves behind countless friends and family in Canada, USA and India. Our father to us was an inspiration as to what a person can do with determination, hard work and a fierce desire to achieve one's destiny. That legacy and all his successes are reflected in his children and his family and will never cease to be the driving force behind all our dreams and goals. Our father made us who we are today. He has given us strength to pursue our ambitions and become the people we wished to be. Our promise to our father is to continue to build on his legacy and the values he instilled in us. Our father was not only a great provider, husband, friend, but also a wonderful person who tried to live the best life he could, one of honesty, integrity and humility. The head of our household leaves us not empty or alone. Generous even in death, we find comfort in the memories we have of him and take solace in the knowledge that he fulfilled his purpose and will never be forgotten. Funeral service will be held at Garry Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, August 30 at 2:30 p.m. Memorial services will be held at Khalsa Diwan Sikh Society on McLeod Ave. until Monday, 6:30 p.m.

CECILE ROCHON
August 28, 2004
CECILE ROCHON Peacefully, on August 25, 2004, Cecile Victoire (Perreault) Rochon passed away, surrounded by her children, at St. Boniface General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Anna Perreault, husband Denis Rochon and brothers, Emile and Peter, she leaves to mourn her passing her children, Dianne (Marc) Vivian, Roger and Guy Rochon; a brother Paul and sister Simone; stepmother Aurore; stepbrothers, Rene and Robert; stepsisters, Edna, Collette and Georgette; along with her cherished grandchildren Stephane Rochon, Luke and Joel Vivian. A woman of compassion and generosity, Cecile was born in St. Norbert on January 26, 1930. She married Denis Rochon in 1953 and together, they spent many happy times together, raising a family and many pets on their farm in Lasalle, MB. Cecile had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to laugh. Her smile lit up the room. Her caring and concern for others inspired her to become a registered nurse, before embarking on a 45-year career that included service at St. Boniface Hospital and Central Park Lodge. She was a voracious reader and avid crossword puzzle fan but her greatest joy was her family who take comfort in knowing Cecile is now free of pain and reunited with her beloved Denis. At Cecile's request, a private family burial is planned. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends are invited to make a contribution to the charity of their choice in her memory in the same spirit of giving that was so much a part of Cecile's life. Adieu, Maman....Till We Meet Again. You will always be our special angel. Desjardins Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 233-4949 or toll-free at 1-888-233-4949.
