Dave, born in High Bluff, was predeceased by his beloved mother Eleanor when only a teenager and by his father Ernest in 1961. He was a kind and thoughtful husband to his wife Joan (nee McCulloch) for 53 years and a good and fun-loving Father to Glen, Dad to Gail and Grandpa to Claudia, as well as a devoted master to his beloved dogs, Smokey and Toby. Dave was a Chartered Accountant, his business career began with Great West Life and continued as the Canadian Comptroller for Old Dutch Foods for 27 years. Dave was a proud member of the Strathcona Curling Club, his most thrilling achievement was the wearing of the Purple Heart to represent Manitoba in the Brier as a member of the Forsyth Rink in 1955. And in 1978, as a member of the George Laudrum Rink, he again represented Manitoba in the National Seniors Curling Championship. Dave leaves behind many happy memories that his family will treasure.
