ROSE LOCH

ROSE LOCH It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Loch, on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Frank; mother Mary Bodak; daughter, son-in-law, grandson, Marilyn, Jamie and Nicholas Hill; son and granddaughter, Ron and Tabrina of Toronto. Rose was predeceased by her father Nicholas Bodak. Rose was born on April 13, 1931. She married Frank on August 5, 1950 and they had two children. She loved cooking, embroidering, gardening and taking care of her family. Rose will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and unconditional love. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. LORENA MAE MacDONALD Peacefully, after a brief illness, Lorena passed away August 8, 2004 at the age of 49. She is survived by her husband Kerry, children Scott (Shania), Heather (Kerry), Barbara, Margaret, step-son Christopher and four grandchildren, Troy, Juanita, Sarah and Benjamin. Lorena was predeceased by her parents, Laurie and Elsie Allen of Mulvihill, MB and by a grandson Kenneth Scott. At her request no funeral service will be held.

EDWARD V. MALMGREN P. Eng. It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing our beloved husband, father and grandfather on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Edward is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years Renee; brother Alan (Nettie); daughters, Susan (Graham), Lori; sons, Gordie (Sandy), Jim; grandchildren, Caroline, Lindy, Mark, Tiffany, Larissa, Kimberley, Katelyn, Sydni, Ariel; great-grandson Joseph; and many nieces and nephews across Canada, England, the United States and Israel. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, John, Harvey; and sisters, Margaret and Mabel; and granddaughter Melissa. Edward was raised in Elmwood, then continued on to the University of Manitoba where he attained a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1947. Edward helped his father and brothers start up Malmgren Implement Mfg. on Marion Street and Panet Road, where they designed and manufactured Farm Equipment. He went on to an executive position at Allied Farm Equipment then later owned and operated T.S. Taylor Machinery with his brother Harvey. He enjoyed a prosperous career in the Winnipeg business community, he was a member of Winnipeg Executives and the Association of Professional Engineers of Manitoba. He spent the past 20 years working at Scott Bathgate Ltd. Edward and his brothers were avid boaters through the years, being a member of the Royal Manitoba Yacht Club. He and Renee enjoyed many years of travel to the United States, Canada, England and France. He will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family, supporting and encouraging them always. He was a strong role model with a work ethic and perseverance that inspired all. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, August 11 at 3:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., with Rev. Don McIntyre officiating. LOVINE GLORIA MASEK (nee WORONIAK) March 7, 1930 - August 7, 2004 It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Lovine on August 7, 2004 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital with her niece and nephew at her side. Her memory will be cherished by her sister Anna DeRyckere, and her niece Laurayne Rusak and husband Ron. Lovine was predeceased by her husband Henry; her mother and father, Elias and Katherine Woroniak; a sister Ollie Bryck; and a nephew Craig DeRyckere; and two brothers-in-law, Frank Bryck and Albert DeRyckere. Lovine was born and raised in East Kildonan. She attended Polson and Lord Wolsley Schools and then went on to Business College after graduating from high school. She worked as a stenographer for the Creamette Company and after that Electrical Supplies for a number of years. Later on, Lovine worked out of her home, helping her husband with his business. After Henry died, Lovine worked for her nephew Craig in his dental practice for a while. Special thank you to the staff on Units 11 and 12 on the Geriatric Ward of the Seven Oaks General Hospital for their wonderful care and kindness. You are all "Angels" in disguise. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 11, 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe at Brazier, with Brother Jorge Villegas officiating. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Reception following at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lovine may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. BARBARA McJANNET

BARBARA GAIL McJANNET Peacefully on August 8, 2004 at the Victoria General Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Barbara McJannet, beloved mother of Mark McJannet and daughter-in-law Darcee passed to her rest. She also leaves to mourn her passing her beloved companion Allan Adam. Also surviving are her brother Brian Bell, sister-in-law Barbara and nephews, Jason and Kevin. Barbara will be sadly missed by Mark's father, Jack McJannet. She was predeceased by her parents, Gilbert and Ruby Bell. Barbara's early career was in advertising where she made a significant contribution. As well as raising her family, she donated her time and energy to many charities and associations. She touched many lives with her vivacious spirit and energy. Barbara was a caring outgoing person who enjoyed cooking, being at the lake, animals and in particular, her precious little dog Coco. A private celebration was held by her family. Friends are invited to gather with the family on Thursday, August 12 at 310 Park Blvd. N. from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. JOHN DELMAR McNAB Peacefully on Sunday, August 8, 2004 John Delmar McNab, aged 76 years, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. John is survived by his wife of 34 years, Judy; son Douglas (Lana); daughters, Shelley (Ron) and Cindy; grandchildren, Aaron, Audrey, Joshua, Alexandra, Aurora, Samantha, Amelia, Daniel, Karen and Danielle. Also surviving is his brother Wilbert and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Audrey; brothers, Russell and David; and sister Doris. John was a member of P.P.C.L.I. Second Battalion and served in Korea. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 12 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, with viewing one hour prior to service.
