GERALD FRANK REBILLARD Gerry was born in Somerset, MB on June 28, 1933 and left us suddenly at the Health Sciences Centre, with his family at his side, on July 18, 2004. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Clarice (nee Jacobson); son Randall (Jona) and children Jennifer and Dustin of Gimli; daughter Brenda (Ian Glover) and children Ryan and Brandon of Winnipeg; daughter Lori (Clifford Sabel) and children Madison, Mercedes and Mackenzie of Hay River, NT; also survived by a sister Annette (Bob Chevalier) of Mariapolis, MB; sister-in-law Bernice Rebillard and family of Winnipeg; brother Rheal (Elaine) and sons of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Andrea Jacobson of Selkirk; and very dear friend and cousin Annette McIvor of Winnipeg. Gerry was predeceased by baby Delbert in 1958, baby Brenda in 1963, his mother in 1974, his father in 1981, his brother Richard in 1986, and a sister Cecile in 1933. Gerry was a very hard worker. His working life started out as an MTS lineman for four years. He then apprenticed at Gelhorn Motors for his mechanical career, which started in 1958. In 1975 we bought G & C Grocery in Gimli, which we later sold. Through the years he worked at various mechanical shops, retiring from the R.M. of Gimli in 2002. In semi-retirement he drove the parts truck and did various jobs at Chudd's Chrysler in Gimli until the Friday prior to his passing. He was able to repair anything he put his mind to, not only as his work, but also as one of his greatest passions in life. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends, especially, Kirbee. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli with Pastor Trudy Sluth officiating. Interment will follow at the Haga Cemetery, Arborg. RAYMOND ROUSSON

July 21, 2004

RAYMOND GEORGE ROUSSON With sorrow and sadness, our family announces that Ray passed away at his home suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, July 18, 2004. Ray is survived by his wife, Janet Rousson; son Rick Rousson (Holly) of The Pas; son Cecil Eger (Kameo) and grandson Kaemon of Winnipeg; daughter Tammy Eger and friend Ann Pegoraro of Sudbury; and son Ray Eger and grandson Braydyn of Winnipeg. He is also survived by his father George Rousson (wife Amanda and sons, Joshua and Francis) and sister Rita (sons, TJ and Rodrick) of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his mother Anna. Ray will also be remembered by sister-in-law Irene Chabluk (Barry); his nieces, Sherry and Susan McCoy; brother-in-law Douglas (Vivian); and niece Katherine and nephew William; and many aunts, uncles and cousins from Quebec to British Columbia. Ray will be remembered by his friends, Joe Wiebe, Ray and Michele Eger, Bob and Madeleine Hennesey, and Rick Palmer for his love of the outdoors - camping, boating, RV travelling, and snowmobiling. People who were not lucky enough to really know Ray may of thought he was a little reserved and rough around the edges. However, friends and family who had the opportunity to share in his life knew different. Ray had a knack for electronics, computers and carpentry. If you had a computer problem, a gadget that did not work or a deck that required repair Ray was the first person you called. Ray worked for Water Survey Branch, Environment Canada for 35 years before retiring in 2002. During this time he never left a problem unsolved - even if he ended up in his underwear up to his neck in water. Over the past year he and Jan had the opportunity to live out their dream of travelling around the United States and Canada with dog Jay in their RV. He also had the opportunity to fish for halibut in Alaska, experience white water rafting on the Ottawa river, boat on the Colorado river, snowmobile in Yellowstone National Park, parasail in the Padre Islands, cruise the U.S. Virgin Islands, sightseeing on South Beach, and walking down Bourbon Street on New Year's Eve. A celebration of Ray's life will be held on Wednesday, July 21 at 7:00 p.m. in Kenora Community Funeral Home, 821 St. Clair St., Kenora, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
