Remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter Mary (Bruce) Williams; sons, Andy (Barb), Ernie (Barb); and grandchildren, Liz, Dainna, Aaron and Cassandra; as well as many friends. Anna leaves us with many fond memories of loving, caring, generosity, compassion and commitment. Her entire life's purpose was the welfare, physically, spiritually and morally of her children, their partners and her grandchildren. She may not have realized it, but she was extremely successful on all counts. Anna immigrated to Canada with her husband Joe and infant son Karoly in 1950. She worked for many years as a seamstress with Silpit Industries. For the past 20 years Anna battled heart disease. She was deeply grateful for the excellent medical care she received from many fine doctors and nurses including Dr. J.R. Smith, Dr. Ledwich, Dr. Czarnecki, Dr. R. Ramgoolam and Dr. Moran de Muller and the exceptional staff at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, her home for the past two years. Anna loved her neighborhood in Corydon Village, her neighbours on Jessie Avenue and her church family at St. Michael and All Angels' Church. She was an avid nature and animal lover and a gifted gardener, cook and hostess. Anna was predeceased by her husband Joe, two infant sons, her parents and her brothers and sisters in Hungary. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 17 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael and All Angels' Anglican Church, 300 Hugo St. N. Viewing will be take place one half hour prior to service. SUCCESS To have laughed often and loved much; To have won the respect of intelligent Persons and The affection of little children To have withstood the betrayal Of false friends And the approbation of honest critics; To look an old dog in the eye and know That he likes you just cause you like him To have looked for beauty where They said there was none And to have found it. To have looked for the best in people Instead of the worst To leave the world a little better Whether it's through a garden patch A better business or a Redeemed social condition To know that even one life Has lived a fuller span Or breathed a little easier Because you have lived - That is to have succeeded THOMSON "IN THE PARK" FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY 1291 McGillivray Blvd - 1-877-230-0438

Norman will be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews around the world. He will also be lovingly remembered by his dear friend Inez Truman. Born in Regina in 1909 he completed his early schooling in Brantford and Toronto. In 1927, he joined Richardson Securities which began his illustrious 75 year investment career. He enlisted in 1940 and served with the Royal Navy, on loan from the Royal Canadian Navy, and was discharged with the rank of Lt-Commander at the end of 1945. After the war, he returned to Richardson's in Toronto which lead to moves to Vancouver and then Winnipeg. Most of his business life was spent with the Richardson Companies where he ended his career as Managing Partner of Richardson Securities and Vice President of the parent company James Richardson and Sons. After his "retirement", he set up his own consulting and investment advisory firm working daily in his office until the age of 93. During his career he was President of the Investment Dealers Association and Vancouver Stock Exchange. He was a director of many corporations which included Investors Group, Dome Petroleum, and Westeel amongst others. Even though business was his passion he also recognized the importance of community service. He assisted both financially and through leadership roles for many organizations such as Balmoral Hall, the Children's Hospital Foundation, the Winnipeg Symphony, Mount Carmel Clinic, the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts, the Winnipeg Rowing Club, the I.H. Asper School of Business, and Junior Achievement to list just a few. While overseas in 1944, Norm married his "Scottish lass" Juanita Denny of Loch Lomond and shortly thereafter they started their family. Norm was an immensely proud and supportive father. Many of our happiest times with Dad were spending summers at Lake of the Woods or listening to his piano playing. His love of the lake has been passed on to the future generations. In father's spare time he enjoyed playing the piano, golfing, and travelling. In later years he enjoyed walks with his faithful four footed friend "Goldie". He has been a member of the Vancouver Club, Capilano Golf Club, St. Charles Country Club, Manitoba Club (Past President) and a founding member of the Winnipeg Squash Club. The family would like to thank, Remy and Manny Zamora; and family for their loving care over the past years to both Norm and Juanita; special thanks to Dr. Lloyd Bartlett, his longtime friend and physician; the devoted caregivers who provided the love and support which enabled Dad to have quality time at home over the past year. A memorial service will be held on July 14 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews River Heights United Church, 255 Oak St., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Norman's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, the Winnipeg Humane Society, or to the charity of your choice.
