Jason was a tremendous athlete, excelling in a number of sports, especially running, biking and hockey and like his paternal grandfather, he was a gifted handyman, his work always done with absolute perfection. Cards for special occasions were chosen or made with care and love. He leaves behind family, friends and fellow travellers from Alcoholics Anonymous who will miss him dearly. A Service celebrating the life of our dear one will be held on Saturday, July 3 at 3:00 p.m. in St. Alban's Anglican Church, 486 Rathgar Avenue at Osborne Street with Rev. Donna Ball officiating. BOHDAN ANDREJCZUK

June 30, 2004

BOHDAN (DONNY) ANDREJCZUK 1948 - 2004 It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of a most beloved man. Bohdan Andrejczuk, originally from Winnipeg, passed away peace-fully at his home in Quathiaski Cove, BC, on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at the young age of 55. Donny is survived by his wife Karen; son Maksym; mother Karoline; brother Myron; sister Irene and brother-in-law Mark. He will be greatly missed by his family in Canada and overseas and him any loyal and true friends. Donny loved life. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, gardening, camping, canoeing, sailing, fishing and his love of travel, like his love for his family, knew no bounds. He was such a happy-go-lucky guy, had a smile for everyone, and the greatest sense of humour. He will be remembered with fondness for his generosity, his funny stories, his love of people and his zest for life. A graduate of the University of Manitoba (B. Ed.), Bohdan enjoyed a career in teaching. At the age of 50, however, he took on the most rewarding career of his life, fatherhood. He was a stay-at-home Dad with his son Maksym, whom he simply couldn't stop talking or writing about. His hilarious e-mails will always be treasured. He was so proud of both his son and wife. He was also proud of his Ukrainian heritage. Donny loved the richness of it's culture, tradition, history and art. One of his most enjoyable holidays was to his homeland, Ukraine. Bohdan was preceded in death by his father Hilarko Andrejczuk, and paternal and maternal grandparents. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 2 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 3 at Sts. Vladimir & Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St., with Rev. M. Kouts officiating. Interment to take place at All Saints Cemetery. "You will forever be the Wind Beneath Our Wings."
