He loved life, had a huge heart for individuals with "intellectual disabilities" from which he made many friends. It was during these times that love flowered through him, spreading happiness and smiles throughout many faces. He cherished his parents and siblings, loving every moment he could spend with them and being thankful for their love. A private family service will be held at the Carman Pentecostal Church. In lieu of flowers donations would be greatly appreciated to Mountain Industries in Notre Dame or Eden Mental Health, in Winkler. We would like to thank Dr. Robert Kruk at Carman Hospital and Health Sciences Centre of Winnipeg. "With our blessing you are Now Home" Doyle's Funeral Chapel of Carman in care of arrangements. TRUDY NASH

June 30, 2004

TRUDY MARIE NASH (nee COATES) 1945 - 2004 Peacefully on June 27, 2004, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer, Trudy passed away. She was an inspirational source of strength for everyone around her. She will be forever loved by her husband Brian; daughters, Tina (Neil) and Sheila and son Brian (Brenda). Also left to mourn are her six loving grandsons; Father and Mother, John and Beatrice; father-in-law, mother-in-law Tom and Kay; brother Murray (Gwen); sister Terry and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was born in Morden, MB., and grew up in Winnipeg. She and her husband left the city to raise their family in Teulon, MB. Trudy had a great love of music and dancing, as well as for animals and caring for others. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family. For anyone who knew her they will always remember her laugh, for it was strong and infectious that filled the room with love and such joy. She loved life and all the small details others often overlooked. Known for holding on to many things she once said "You have to keep the important things the first time because you don't get a second chance." She was soft spoken, wise and as strong as nails. She has left a legacy forever to all who knew and loved her. Thank you very much to the staff at HSC and the Women's Hospital, for their care and kindness, and the kindness of Maureen her palliative care friend. A family service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
