BENOIT COMEAU

June 23, 2004

BENOIT COMEAU After a brief struggle with cancer, Benoit (Ben) Comeau died peacefully on Sunday, June 20, 2004 at Grace Hospice in Winnipeg. The shock of his diagnosis, shortly followed by the time of his passing, left many of us in a state of surprise and sorrow. He was born in La Salle, MB on November 21, 1944. Ben's courage and strong acceptance of his illness, as well as his good and pleasant nature made it so much easier for family, friends and staff that attended so kindly to his needs. Ben will be remembered as a good and very friendly coworker at Westeel Limited in St. Boniface where he worked for 30 years. He was very grateful for the care and friendship expressed by so many of them during his illness. An avid golf player, he enjoyed the company of so many people that shared this sport with him and it is around this activity that he already had planned his coming retirement. To remember and cherish his memory, Ben leaves his sister Lucille (Charles Lecomte); his brothers, Andre (Ruby), Roger (Blanche) and Laurent; a sister-in-law Berthe; as well as nephews and nieces. Have been expecting him in God's kingdom are his parents, Omer Comeau and Jeanne Lavoie, and three brothers, Paul, Albert and Raymond and a sister Jeannine and her husband Henri. All of us relatives and friends have been touched by the wonderful care given to Ben at St. Boniface Hospital and during this past month at Grace Hospice. We are very grateful for the friendliness and tenderness that always accompanied the different services rendered to Ben. The funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Armand Le Gal in La Salle on Thursday, June 24 at 7:30 p.m. The burial of his ashes will follow in the local cemetery. LeClaire Brothers are in charge of the arrangements. 775-2220

She worked for several local businesses, in addition to taking care of her family. Baba's life and love revolved around her family and friends. Baba loved to laugh and believed life was to be enjoyed. After the death of her husband, she made her home with daughter Lynda and her family, taking great delight in the unconditional friendship of dogs, Mocha and Hooch, and Bubba the parrot. In 2003, she moved to Middlechurch, which was her home until her passing. Baba's family wants to thank the staff at Middlechurch Home for all their loving care and consideration during her time there.
