MARY HOLUB
June 06, 2004
MARY HOLUB It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our precious mother, wife and grandmother on June 3, 2004. Our "Special Angel" will be dearly missed by her husband John; children, Joan (Ron), Marilyn (Don), Darlene (Vince); and grandchildren, Jackie (Jeremy), Tara, Jason, Deborah, Karen; and many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Mom was born April 7, 1919 in Winnipeg. She dedicated her entire life to caring for her family. She loved them and they love her immensely. Mom touched the lives of everyone she met, with a genuine warmth and kindness. She had such determination confronting health problems, never complaining and never giving up. A truly unselfish individual, she never thought of her own hardships but only of others' well being. Mom loved to cook and bake for her family and truly was "first class". We will forever reminisce about our wonderful family holiday dinners. One of her favourite pastimes was playing cards with family or friends and needless to say, she most often defeated us all. She truly enjoyed watching baseball and hockey with Dad. Mom and Dad had been married for sixty-two years. Before her arthritis limited her activities, she delighted in shopping trips to the States and Vegas. Many thanks to Dr. Aoki. Your special care and concern for Mom over the years meant so much to her as well as the family. Home Care Coordinator, Timmalee Thompson is to be commended for arranging excellent home care services for Mom. Special thanks to Maggie Campbell, whose kindness over the years made her a valued friend. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held Monday, June 7, at 3:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations may be made in her memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 or charity of one's choice. There is a bridge of memories, From here to Heaven above. That keeps you very close to us, It's called the 'Bridge of Love" As time goes by without you, And the days turn into years, They hold a million memories, And a thousand silent tears. To us you were so special, What more is there to say, Except we wish with all our hearts That you were here today. Rest peacefully now, Mom - We will miss you dearly. Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044
