At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 24, 1998, the death of Mr. Gordon William Janes, formerly of Ridgewood Veteran's Wing and 7 Lynn Avenue, Saint John, husband of the late Evelyn M. (Burke) Janes and Berthina R. (Billard) Janes.
He was the son of the late William and Carolyn (Burbridge) Janes.
Survived by one daughter Ellen Gay (Janes) Cardone of East Kingston, New Hampshire, two sons, Gordon D. Janes of Goose Creek, South Carolina and Walter (Tony) Janes of Saint John, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter Laurie Ann and a son Gary Francis Janes.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, with visiting on Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 28, 1998, at 2:15 p.m. followed by cremation.
Remembrances to the Children's Wish Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Society of Saint John, would be appreciated by the family.
MACDONALD, Florence E.
The death of Mrs. Florence Ethel MacDonald of 174 Pitt Street, Saint John, wife of John D. MacDonald, occurred on Saturday, January 24, 1998 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Chatham, N.B. she was the daughter of the late James and Ida (Martin) Joudry.
Besides her husband John, she is survived by one son David and his wife Carol of Garnett Settlement, one daughter M. Susan (Mrs. Joseph Doiron) of Grand Manan Island, two brothers, Lauder Joudry and Leonard Joudry, both of Saint John, five grandchildren, one great grandson, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters Jean and Margaret and three brothers Robert, Joe an James Joudry.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John with visiting on Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 27, 1998 at 2:15 p.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
Remembrances to the new Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, N.B. January 25, 1998, Winifred (Grundy) Moffitt, wife of the late Donald L. Moffitt of St. Stephen, N.B.
Daughter of the late William H. Grundy and Eliza (Manning) Grundy.
Beloved mother of Donald W. Moffitt and his wife Janice of Grand Bay, N.B., Brenda and her husband Ed Reslini of Dryden, Ontario, David and his wife Sue of St. Stephen, N.B., Bryan and his wife Aggie of Woodstock, N.B., and Heather Shaw of St. Stephen, N.B., one sister Freda Spriggs and one brother William Grundy both of Newcastle on Tyne England, 12 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law.
Predeceased by one brother Harry Grundy.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B. from where funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 28, 1998 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Canon John Matheson officiating.

Survived by her husband James Murphy of O'Leary, P.E.I. formerly of Milltown, N.B.

ROBICHEAU, Arnold D.
The death of Mr. Arnold Dominic Robicheau of 176 Pinn Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, occurred on Thursday, January 22, 1998 at the General Hospital, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
He was the son of the late Walter Charles and Mary Jane (Comeau) Robicheau.
He is survived by one brother Eric, of Calgary, Alberta, four sisters, Bernice Campbell, Doris Campbell, both of Hamilton, Ontario, Marion Robichaud and Avid Dempster both of Saint John and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers Reginald and Adrian.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John with visiting on Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church on Wednesday, January 28, 1998 at 10 a.m.
Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

TEED, J. Lionel
On January 24, 1998, at the Saint John Regional Hospital J. Lionel Teed of Holly Brook Court, born in Newcastle, N.B. son of the late William H. and Isabel (Nash) Teed; husband to Anne (Dickeson) Teed.
In addition to his wife Anne, he is survived by a son Lionel D. and his wife Madonna of Gander, Newfoundland; a daughter Sherry Dejardins and her husband Paul of Saint John; two brothers, William A. of London, Ontario and Stephen N. of Brookshire, Texas; as well as five grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road.
A Funeral Service will be held from Saint James Lakewood, 2000 LochLomond Road on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with interment in Miramichi Cemetery at a later date.
Although there is no visitation by Lionel's request, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donors choice by Lionel's request.
WHELPLEY, Margaret Ada
Margaret Ada Whelpley, age 86, of St. Martins, Saint John County, formerly of Saint John, N.B., passed away Friday, January 23, 1998, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
She was a daughter of the late Edwin and Ellen (Thompson) Ayer.
Surviving are daughter Margaret (Pegi) and son-in-law Alan Blackburn of Halifax, N.S., sons, Harold of Halifax, N.S., Douglas and daughter-in-law Ruth of Nerepis, N.B., four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by an infant son, Walter, sister Clara McConkey, three half-brothers, Horace, Kenneth and Walter and half sister Carrie.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row from where the service will be held on Monday, January 26, 1998 in the chapel at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society.

JORDAN, Ernest M.
The passing of Ernest M. Jordan of Ripples, NB., at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton on Saturday January 24, 1998.
Born in Ripples he was the son of the late Wilfred Jordan and Jessie (Lunergan) Jordan.
He is survived by four sons Andrew (Susan), Marven (Nancy), Ronnie (Diane) and Dannie (Ann) all of Ripples, two daughters, Linda Jordan-Foss (Sheldon) and Dianna Jordan-Clark (Cameron) both of Salmon Creek, 11 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister Mabel MacBeth of Ripples, three brothers Wilfred Jordan of Ripples, Aubrey McAllister of Minto and Walter McAllister of Schnider Mountain.
Ernest was predeceased by his wife Nellie (McLean) Jordan, an infant son Terry and a brother George McAllister.
Resting at the Ripples United Pentecostal Church with visiting Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
Funeral service will be held from the church at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 27, 1998 with Rev. Art McElroy officiating.
Interment will take place in the Ripples Community Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
