Charles Bourgeois

Grande-Digue – Charles Bourgeois, 74, passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 11, 2010.
Born in Grande-Digue on March 17, 1936, he was the son of the late Louis and Hélène (Cormier) Bourgeois.
Charles is survived by his wife, Adrienne (Poirier); two sons, Serge (Sonia Thibodeau) of Grande-Digue, Daniel of Dieppe; two daughters, Rachel LeBlanc ( Samuel), Maryse Bourgeois (Daniel Cormier) both of Grande-Digue; three brothers, Fernand (Géraldine) of Shediac Bridge; Pierre (Laudia Gallant), Louis (Hélène Doiron) both of Grande-Digue; two sisters, Justine Léger (Gérard) of Grande-Digue, Lorraine Devarennes (Aldérice) of Dieppe; two grandchildren, Alexandre and Janie; also several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Anna and Pauline.
Special thanks to Stephanie Landry (Home Care), Extra-Mural and the nurses from the 4th floor at the Moncton City Hospital.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Friday, August 13th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday, August 14th from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
Funeral service will be celebrated at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Saturday, August 14th at 11 am.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Azèle Gallant

Grande-Digue – Azèle Gallant, 91, passed away at the Villa Providence in Shediac on Wednesday, October 13, 2010.
She was the wife of the late Emmanuel Gallant.
Born in Grande-Digue on March 17, 1919, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Cormier) Downing.
She belonged to the Grande-Digue parish and lived with her son, Albert until August 2005.
Azèle will sadly be missed by her six daughters and four sons: Annette Gallant (Ernst) and Lorette Gallant (Walter) of Mundleville, Lucienne LeBlanc (Paul), Stella Demetre (George), Aimé Gallant (Aline), Diane Rodgers (Dave), and Albert Gallant of Grande-Digue, Christine Arseneau (Charles) and Charles Gallant of Moncton, Antoine Gallant (Dorothy) of Deux-Montagnes; also fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She also leaves a sister Marie Bourgeois and sisters-in-law, Alouiza Donnelle, Germaine Rudd, Corinne Gallant and Jeannine Gallant.
Besides her husband, Emmanuel (1978), she was predeceased by one son, Michel (1986), sisters, Eva, Rosalie, Anna, Alice, Alma and brothers, Antoine, Alfred, Patrick, Jean, Willie and Albénie.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Friday, October 15, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, October 16, from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Saturday, October 16 at 11 am.
Donations to the “Bourses de Grande-Digue” or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Lorraine LeBlanc

Grande-Digue – Lorraine LeBlanc, 100, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 25th, 2010.
Born in Cap-Lumière on September 10th, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Marie Richard.
Lorraine is survived by her three daughters: Huberte Melanson (Late Laurie), Jeannette Gallant (Roméo), Pauline Robin (Late George) all of Grande-Digue; three sisters: Germaine Bourgeois (Blair), Pauline Boudreau (Pierre) both of Moncton, Yvonne Hansen (Wesley) of Kalamazoo, Michigan USA; eleven grandchildren: Bryan, Corey, Tom, Pierre, Janice, Monique, Anne-Marie, Daniel, Charles, Marc, Paul; fourteen great grandchildren: Jacob, Isabelle, Ghislain, Lisa, Stephane, Andrew, Lyndsay, Anesta, Carly, Zachary, Charles, Justin, Jérémie, Nicholas; one great great grandchildren: Naveah.
She was predeceased by her husband: Alphonse LeBlanc; two brothers: Aurèle and Fernand; four sisters: Lucille, Yolande, Bertha and Lilliane.
Visitations will be held at the Passage in Shediac Bridge on Wednesday, October 27th from 7 to 9 pm, there will be no visitations on Thursday. Funeral mass will be celebrated at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Thursday, October 28th at 11 am.
Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
