Douglas Munro

St-Philippe - Douglas Munro, 47, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Ottawa on September 4, 1961, he was the son of the late Gordon Reynolds Munro and the late Isobel Cotton.
Douglas was a member of the “Fédération des Citoyens(nes) Ainés(es) du Nouveau-Brunswick.
He is survived by two sisters, Jacqueline McLean (late James) of Ontario and Laurie Munro (Paul Caissie) of St-Philippe.
There will be visitation at Passage Funeral Co-operative in Shediac Bridge on Monday, May 11, from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, May 12 from 1 pm till time of the funeral. Funeral Service will be held at the Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge on Tuesday, May 12 at 2 pm, Rev. Thomas Nesbett officiating.
Donations to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Notre-Dame-de-Kent – Paul Chavarie, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 12 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Notre-Dame on April 2, 1945, he was the son of the late Léonard and Flora (Melanson) Chavarie.
Paul will be sadly missed by his wife Claudette (Poirier); his son, Marc (Lucille) of Notre-Dame; one brother Guy (Bernadette) of Florida; two sisters, Diane Léger (Valmont) of Gardner, Mass, Dawn Chavarie of Notre-Dame; and one special granddaughter, Mylène.
He was predeceased by a young brother, Yvon.
Resting at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur RC Church Slumber room in Notre-Dame, visiting hours will be on Tuesday, July 14, from 7 to 9 pm, Wednesday, July 15, from 2 to 4 pm and 5:30 pm till time of funeral. The funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur RC Church on Wednesday, July 15, at 7pm. Interment at the parish cemetery.
Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

J. Roger Roy

Ste-Marie-de-Kent – J. Roger Roy, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont after a lengthy illness.
Born in Neguac on February 1st, 1940, he was the son of the late Arthur and Emma (Robichaud) Roy.
His passion was motorcycles.
Roger is survived by his wife, Carmella; two sons, Paul (Linda) of Ste-Marie, Roger of Moncton; one daughter, Lolitta of Moncton; two step-sons, Gary of Ste-Marie, Kevin (Danny) of Toronto; three step-daughters, Maureen (Gordon) of Moncton, Joanne (Jeff) of Toronto, Sheila (Henri) of Moncton; two brothers, Raymond of Florida and Ronald of BC; four sisters, Jeannette (Walter) of Boistown, NB, Diane (Neil) of Montreal, Irene (Kenneth) of Irishtown, Charlene (Yvon) of Woodstock, ON; two grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Florine; one sister, Norma and two brothers, Antoine and Arthur.
Visitations will be at the St-Paul-de-Kent RC Church on Tuesday, July 28 with visiting hours from 2 pm until time of funeral. Funeral mass will be held at the St-Paul-de-Kent RC Church at 4 pm.

Ste-Anne-de-Kent – Léopold LeBlanc, 74, suddenly passed away at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital on Tuesday, December 8, 2009.
Born in Ste-Anne-de-Kent on February 17, 1935, he was the son of the late Jean and Albertine (Mooney) LeBlanc.
He was retired from the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital for several years.
Léopold will sadly be missed by his wife, Ethel; his son, Samuel LeBlanc of Ste-Anne-de-Kent; four brothers, Vincent (Janita), Gérald (Jeannette) both of St-John, Alphonse (Dorina) of Sudbury, ON, Bernard (Murielle) of Ste-Anne-de-Kent; two sisters, Geneva Roy (late Delphis) of Kitchener ON, Thérèse Allain (late Arthur) of Sudbury, ON; two sisters-in-law, Béatrice and Joséphine; also several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Monique, two brothers, Edouard (Ned), Joseph, two sisters, Aline and a baby sister, Pauline
Visitation will be held at the Ste-Anne-de-Kent RC Church Slumber Room on Friday, December 11 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and on Saturday, December 12 from 9:30am till time of the funeral. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 12 at the Ste-Anne-de-Kent RC Church at 11am.

Harold (Dick) Houser

Houser, Harold E. (Dick) - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Edwin (Dick) Houser, on Tuesday December 15th, 2009 at The Moncton Hospital.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Elizabeth (Hodgson), son Richard (Brenda) of Moncton; brother Orville (Aase) Houser of Wheatley, Ont; sister Martha (David) Green of Dunnville, Ont; three grandchildren, Katherine, William and Alyson and several nieces and nephews. Harold was the son of the late Roy E. and Katherine (Heinmiller) Houser of Lowbanks Ont. Besides his parents, Harold was predeceased by his brother William and sister Rita.
Harold graduated from the Air Observer School, RCAF, in Winnipeg, Manitoba and served as a Navigator with the RCAF for eight years. He graduated from York University in Toronto and worked for CP Transport for 20 years before retiring from the Commissionnaires Corps in 2002 .
By Harold’s request there will be no visitations. A private family Memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate Memorial donations be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Memramcook, NB – Diane Bourgeois passed away at her residence on Wednesday, December 16th, 2009.
Born in College Bridge on February 21st, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Leandre and Georgina (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
Diane is survived by two daughters; Debbie Léger Boudreau (Bruno) of Grand Barachois and Donna LeBlanc (Edgar) of Aboujagane, two brothers; Gerry LeBlanc (Rose-Anna) of Memramcook and Donald LeBlanc (Sylvia) of Dieppe, four sisters; Dorine Collette of Dieppe, Rose-Anna LeBlanc, Rachel Arsenault (Normand) both of Memramcook and Tina Noël (Kevin) of Bathurst, four grandchildren; Réné, André, Jason, Jessy, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Diane will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Visitations will be held one hour prior to the Memorial service that will be held on Saturday December 19th, 2009 at the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall 668 Champlain St. Dieppe NB. at 2pm.
Memorial donations may be made to the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall or donors’ choice would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the health care workers who looked after mom.

St-Antoine, NB – Anita Maillet, 45, passed away peacefully at the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Moncton on January 6, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Néri Belliveau and Aldéa (Cormier) Belliveau.
Anita is survived by her husband John; her mother, Aldéa (Jean Victor Goguen) of St-Antoine; one brother, Ernest Belliveau (Priscille) of Notre-Dame and one sister, Linda Daigle (John) of St-Antoine; two nieces, Lisa Daigle (goddaughter) and Julie Ann Belliveau; two nephews, Chris Daigle (Nancy) and Ian Belliveau; also several uncles and aunts.
Visitation will be held two hours before the service at the St-Antoine de l’Ermite RC Church Slumber Room in St-Antoine on Monday, January 4, 2010 from 9am to 10:45am followed by the service at 11am.
