Gary Ross Patterson
Peacefully, at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on Sunday, February 1, 2004, Mr. Gary Ross Patterson, age 59 ,of Beaver Harbour, NB.
Born at St. Stephen, NB, March 29, 1944, he was the son of the late Cecil R. and Amy E. (Smith) Patterson. He is survived by three uncles, Fred Patterson of Sudbury, ON, Wayne (Faye) Patterson, Beaver Harbour, NB and Al Patterson of Flin Flon, MB; several aunts including, Helena (Hazen) Getchell of St. Stephen, NB, Arletta Collette and Helen Nicholson, both of Florida, Donna Young of St. Stephen, and Bertha Mahoney of Pennfield. Gary is also survived by several cousins including Randy Barry, Wendy Burns, Vicky Barry and Sammy Thorne.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB (755-3533), with visiting on Monday, February 2, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The service will be held at The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the St. George Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at 2:00pm with Rev.Canon David Genge officiating. Interment will be in the Christ Church (Anglican) Cemetery, Pennfield, in the spring.. Donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Wade Fabian Cooke
1966 - 2004
The death of Wade Fabian Cooke of St. Stephen, NB, husband of Susan (Richard) Cooke, occurred on Monday, February 9, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Blacks Harbour, NB on March 14, 1966, he was a son of Lois M. (Leslie) Cooke and the late Horace E. Cooke. Survivng, besides his wife and mother, are four daughters, Britini, Ashalee, Natalie, and Tristan; one son, Ethan; four sisters, Bonnie B. Parks (Larry) of St. George, NB, Dianne R. Lambert (Chester) of Back Bay, NB, Nila R. Craig (Merlin) of Bonny River, NB, and Trudy L. Cooke of Back Bay, NB; five brothers, S. Raye Cooke of St. George, NB, Gregory R. Cooke of L’Etete, NB, H. Jackie Cooke, Barry A. Cooke, and Sherman P. Cooke, all of Back Bay, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Resting at Sea View Full Gospel Church, Back Bay, NB with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 pm, and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held on Friday at 2 pm at Sea View Full Gospel Church with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating. In Wade’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Interment to take place in the St. George Rural Cemetery in the Spring.

Nelson Hartley Randall
The death of Mr. Nelson Hartley Randall, of Moores Mills, NB., occurred on Saturday March 13, 2004, at the Charlotte County Hospital. Born in Grand Manan, NB., on February 11, 1953, he was a son of Edith Velda ( Greene ) Randall, and the late L. Kitchener Randall. Besides his mother, he is survived by one brother, Wade ( Joanne ) Randall of L’Etete, NB., two sisters, June Barrett, of Back Bay, NB., and Mary Randall, of Saint John, NB., Cousins, Velda, and Theresa, several nieces and nephews, and many friends, and special friend Jamie. Nelson was a Social Worker, working with special needs children, and was a member of the Church of Christ in L’Etete, NB.
Resting at the Church of Christ in L’Etete, with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The service will be held at the Church of Christ in L’Etete on Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at 2 : 00 pm., with Rev. Giles Mullen officiating. Interment will take place at the St. George Rural Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, Donations to the Charlotte County Cancer , or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Madge Oridell (Wilson) Stover
Peacefully, at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB, on March 23, 2004, Mrs. Madge Oridell (Wilson) Stover, wife of the late Frank Warren Stover, formerly of Fairhaven, NB.
Born in Grand Harbour, Grand Manan, NB on October 5, 1924, she was a daughter of the late John and Eva Mae (Cossaboom) Wilson.
A loving mother and grandmother, Madge is survived by one son, Carl Stover of Fairhaven, NB; one daughter, Joyce Richardson of Tampa, Florida; three grandchildren, Susan Richardson of Leonardville, NB, Roy Bennett of Saint John, NB and Glenn Bennett (Jamie Babineau) of Blacks Harbour, NB, one great-granddaughter, Selene Babineau; one sister, Ina Lord of Fairhaven, NB; two nieces, one nephew, and several cousins. Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by one son, Glenn Stover, and one sister, Emeline Wilson.
Madge was a member of the Fairhaven Baptist Church. She was a former Charter Member of the O.E.S. West Isle #55 and a current member of the O.E.S. Granite Chapter #15 of St. George. She loved gardening and travelling.
Resting at the Fairhaven Baptist Church, Fairhaven, NB, where the service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm, followed by interment in the Fairhaven Community Cemetery, Calder’s Head, NB. Visiting at the church on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

Jean Marguerite (Johnston) Hooper
The death of Mrs. Jean Marguerite (Johnston) Hooper, of Collingwood Rest Home Pennfield, NB, Widow of Merrill Hooper, occurred on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB.
Born in Back Bay, NB on August 28, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Estella (Mitchell) Johnston.
Jean is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary and Ruth, and one brother Gartley. Jean is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
No visiting by family request. A private family Service was held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the St. George Funeral Home, with Canon David Genge. Interment will take place in the Spring at the St. George Rural Cemetery.
Memorial donation’s to the Cancer Society or a Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Ralph Bertrum Anthony
Surrounded by his family, at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB, the death of Mr. Ralph Bertrum Anthony, husband of June Elaine (Curran) Anthony, occurred on Thursday, April 1, 2004.
Born on Campobello Island, NB, May 25, 1925, he was a son of the late Howard Watterson Anthony and Elizabeth Lillian (Fletcher) Anthony. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Bertrum (Rebecca) of Pennfield, NB, Howard (Cathy) of Oak Bay, NB, Dallas (Melanie) of St. George, NB; six daughters, Bonnie (Mrs. Mark Seelye) and Elizabeth Anthony, all of Blacks Harbour, NB, Glenna (Mrs. Allen Mahar) and Lori (Mrs. Ian Hudson) all of Pennfield, NB, Sherri & companion David McLaughlin of St. George, NB and Dorothy (Mrs. David Small) of Pennfield, NB; fifteen grandchildren, Andrew, Leighann, Penny, Lori-Beth, Christa, Edward, Patricia, Jessica, Katelyn, Wesley, Abigail, Noah, Courtney, Alexander and Jade; one great-granddaughter, Rachael; six sisters, Merle McPherson, Seretha (Mrs. Walter Munn), Laura Wilcox, Ruth Beney, Lillian (Mrs. Vance Justason) and Mary (Mrs. Stephen Boyd); one brother, Gordon (Rose); many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ralph was pre-deceased by seven brothers, Ronald, Waitstill, Wesley, James, Millidge, Willard and Graeme, and one sister, Edith.
Ralph was a fisherman in his earlier years, and for over 20 years worked maintenance for Connors Bros. Ltd. in Blacks Harbour, NB. He was an avid dart player, loved hunting and fishing, but his passion was his grandchildren.
Resting at the Wesleyan Church, Blacks Harbour from where the service will be held on Saturday at 2 pm with Rev. Bruce Cheney officiating. Visiting hours on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Donations to the Alzheimer Society, the Diabetes Association, Fundy Nursing Home, or a charity of the donor’s choice, would be appreciated by the family. Ruth Greenlaw
Peacefully, at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB on April 2, 2004, Mrs. Ruth Greenlaw, widow of H. Burdett Greenlaw.
Born on Grand Manan Island, NB, on July 15, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Guptill and Lena M. (Lakeman) Guptill. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by one son, Pastor Laurie Greenlaw (Barbara) of Millerton, PA; one granddaughter, Denise Hultz (Daryl) of Millerton, PA; one grandson, Brock Greenlaw (Laurie Ann) of Elmira, NY; three great-granddaughters, Kara, Paige, and Lorelei of Elmira, NY; three great-grandsons, Derek of Elmira, NY, Nicholas and Joshua of Millerton, PA; one sister, Kathleen Stuart of Lambertville, Deer Island, NB; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Samuel and Leonard, and 2 sisters, Beatrice and Frances.
Ruth was employeed as an office clerk, working in the Payroll Department over 20 years, until her retirement with H. W. Welch Ltd., and was a member of the Wesleyan Church Blacks Harbour, NB.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB (755-3533), with visiting on Sunday, April 4, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 pm. The service will be held at The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the St.George Funeral Home on Sunday, April 4, 2004 at 7: 30 pm. with Rev. Bruce Cheney officiating. Interment will take place at the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Passamaquoddy Lodge would be appreciated by the family.
Francis (Frank) Herbert McAleenan
1914 - 2004
Peacefully, at his residence, and surrounded by his family in St. Andrews, NB, on May 14, 2004, Mr. Francis Herbert McAleenan, beloved husband of 61 years to Alberta (Dewar) McAleenan.
Born in St. George, NB on May 1, 1914, he was a son of the late Herbert and Florence (Noonan) McAleenan. A loving husband and father, he is survived, besides his wife, by one son, Jack (Janyne Blacklock); one daughter, Jean (Will Dupuis); one daughter-in-law, Liz McAleenan; all of St. Andrews; seven grandchildren, Sarah (David Groom), Amy (Dean Lord), Mary, Bridget, Morgan, Neily, and Emily; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul of Saint John, NB; two sisters, Geraldine McShane of Milltown, NB and Pauline Curran of Old Ridge, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased, besides his parents, by brothers, John, Jim, Pat, Henry, Lawrence and Leo, and also sisters, Elizabeth, Louise, Doris and Kathleen.
Frank was a veteran of WWII, and active overseas in France with the Black Watch Regiment. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #8 of St. Andrews, NB. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, building model lighthouses, and going to his camp.
Resting at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, St. Andrews, NB from where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 am with Father Bill Brennan as officiant. Interment to follow in St. George’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
