Mildred Mae Goodeill
Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on October 5, 2004 following a period of failing health. Mrs. Mildred Mae (Cameron) Goodeill wife of the late Frederick A. Goodeill, of Jack Road, Pennfield, NB.
Born on Grand Manan on May 1st 1920 she was a daughter of the late James and Lottie (Green) Cameron. A loving mother and sister, she is survived by one son Greg (Gail) Goodeill of Pennfield, NB, two brothers, Stillman (Ethel) Cameron of Fredericton, and Murray Cameron of Toronto, ON., one brother-in-law Perry Stewart of St. George, one sister-in-law Caroline Land of Saint John, NB., several nieces nephews and cousins, including special niece Susan (Guy) Woodard of Saint John, NB., along with Pam , Trevor, and Hunter Stevenson of Saint John, NB.
Besides her husband Fred, who passed away in 1980, she was predeceased by stepfather Albert Shaw, three sisters Ruth Cameron, Marjorie Stewart, and Leah Campbell.
Mildred enjoyed Knitting, and Crocheting. At one time she was an avid gardener, Mid was a former member of the St. George Curling Club, and attended both the Wesleyan Church in Blacks Harbour and the Pennfield Baptist Church.

The service will be held at The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel, at the St. George Funeral Home on Friday Oct 8, 2004 at 2: 00 pm with Rev.Grant Alcorn and Rev. Bruce Cheney officiating. Interment will follow at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Gilbert “ Gib “ Edwin Eldridge
The death of Mr. Gilbert “ Gib “ Edwin Eldridge, husband of Amy Mary (Birch) Eldridge occurred unexpectedly at his residence in Beaver Harbour, NB on Wednesday October 6, 2004.
Born in Beaver Harbour, NB on July 21, 1919, he was a son of the late Oscar and Mildred (Cross) Eldridge. Gib worked as a Fisheries Officer, over 35 years, covering St. Andrews and St. George, NB. A survivor of the Trentonion, Gib served overseas with the Navy, in WWII. A member of the Blacks Harbour Legion, Branch # 39. Surviving beside his wife Amy, is a son Allan Eldridge (Dawn) of St. George, NB., one sister Myrtle (Honey) Ralston of Beaver Harbour, three grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, and Wendy, four nieces, Norma, Hazel, Cindy, and Faye.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB (755-3533), with visiting on Thursday October 7, 2004, from 7 to 9 pm. The service will be held at The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel, at the St. George Funeral Home on Friday, October 8, 2004, at 11:00 am. with Rev. Bruce Alcorn officiating. Interment will follow in the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. A Legion Tribute will be held at the St. George Funeral Home, on Thursday evening at 7 : 00 pm.
Margaret Wyoma Goss
Peacefully, following a brief illness, at Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on October 11, 2004, Mrs. Margaret Wyoma (Lewis) Goss, wife of Rufus Berton Goss, of St. George, NB.
Born in Casper, Wyoming, USA on December 30, 1924, she was a daughter of the late John and Laverna (Stratton) Lewis.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived, besides her husband, by one son, William B. (Peggy) Goss of Fredericton, NB; two daughters, Gloria K. Taylor (Alec Montgomery) of Maces Bay, NB and Janet Maureen Goss (Doug Wheeler) of Fredericton, NB; six grandsons, Corey & Jeffery Taylor, Tony, Nicholas, Alexander and Matthew Goss; one sister, Madge (Bob) Gervan of Surrey, BC; two brothers, Jim McDole (Rose) of Abbotsford, BC and David McDole of Surrey, BC; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine MacKinnon.
At Margaret’s request, there will be no visiting at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held at the St. George Rural Cemetery on Friday, October 15th at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Charles Yerxa officiating.
In Margaret’s memory, donations to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, or a charity of the donor’s choice, would be appreciated by the family.

Naomie Frances Richardson
The death of Naomie Frances (Urquhart) Richardson, of Blacks Harbour, NB, wife of the late Albert Gilman Richardson, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on November 15, 2004. Born in Castalia, Grand Manan, NB on April 28, 1909, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Cora (Fleet) Urquhart. A beloved mother and grandmother, Naomie is survived by one daughter, Audrey (Sheldon) Wilcox of Pennfield; three sons, Clinton (Joan) of St. Stephen, Austin (Mary) of Blacks Harbour, Hanley (Kay) of Greentown, Indiana; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Ruth (Weldon) Theriault and Lillias (Melvin) Justason, all of Pennfield. She was pre-deceased by one brother, Gordon (Anna) Urquhart.
Resting at the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church from where the service will be held on Wednesday, November 17th at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Bruce Cheney officiating, followed by interment in Pennfield Rural Cemetery. Visiting on Tuesday, November 16th, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of floweres, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Claude Francis Scott
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, on November 17, 2004, following a lenghthy illness, Mr. Claude Francis Scott, husband of Eunice S. (Cook) Scott of Pennfield, NB.
Born in Blacks Harbour, NB on March 4, 1949, he was a son of Madeline A. (McLaughlin) and the late Melvin Scott.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, he is survived besides his wife, by his mother, Madeline; one son, Greg (Joanne) Scott of Blacks Harbour; one daughter, Jennifer Scott of Pennfield; four grandchildren, Kendall, Caleb, Kyla and Kristy; three brothers, Eric (Emily) Scott of Pennfield, Brian Scott of Fredericton, James (Mary) of Blacks Harbour; three sisters, Melva Murray of Blacks Harbour, Brenda (Malcolm) Tucker of Pennfield and Juliette Scott of St. Stephen; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Claude was pre-deceased by two brothers, Allan and Stephen.
Claude had been employed with Connors Brothers Ltd. for over 30 years as a By-products Operator at the Fish Meal Plant. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors.

Burton “Sonny” Henry Armstrong
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB following a brief illness, Mr. Burton “Sonny” Henry Armstrong, companion of Elizabeth M. (Clinch) Taylor of St. George. Born in St. George, NB on May 21, 1927, he was the son of the late John D. and Bessie Irene (Henry) Armstrong. A loving companion, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived, besides Elizabeth, by two sons, Garry (Doris) Armstrong of King City, ON and Blake Armstrong of Beaver Harbour; three daughters, Joan Padillo of Milton, ON, Judy (Bruce) Dodd of St. Catherines, ON and Dianne (Leonard) Allan of Acton, ON; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three sisters, Jeanne Young and Jacqueline (Walter) Balasiuk, both of St. George, and Barbara (Caleb) Ginivan of Franklin, Mass.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sonny worked construction as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Warren Paving and Irving Equipment for most of his working life. In later years, he owned and operated Armstrong’s Store in Beaver Harbour until its closure.

Charles Yerxa officiating, followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 7-9 pm, and Thursday morning from 10 till 12 noon. Helen Isabel Fisher
Unexpectedly, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, on November 23, 2004, Mrs. Helen Isabel Fisher, of Bethel, NB, wife of Wilkins LeRoy Fisher. Helen was born in New Denmark, NB on July 24, 1927, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived, besides her husband, by three step-sons, Murray, David and Terry and one step-daughter, Shirley (Joseph) Dunn.

Lillian Grace Murray
The death of Mrs. Lillian Grace Murray of Caithness NB, wife of the late Manford Murray occurred on Sunday November 7, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Letang, NB, on September 26, 1927, she was a daughter of the late William Russell and Iva Rebecca (Stewart) McCumber.
Lillian is survived by her loving children, William H. (Joanne), Kenneth M. (Rhonda), and Robert R. all of Caithness, NB, Margaret A. Emery (Tom) of Saint John, NB, Patricia R. Scammell ( Joey), and Brenda J. Boone (Greg) all of Caithness, NB, a sister Marion Murray of Caithness, NB, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lillian was predeceased by a daughter L. Kaye Murray.
