Kenneth Aaron Lewis

The death of Kenneth Aaron (Ken) Lewis, husband of Muriel, of Calhoun Road occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday March 23rd 2003. Born in Calhoun he was the son of the late Aaron Kenneth and Ida (Hope) Lewis.

Ken was a lumberjack for many years. He attended the Calhoun United Baptist Church. He and his wife Muriel (Geldart) have been together for 57 years and have one daughter Gloria Cail (George) and one son Aaron (Janice) all of Calhoun.

He is also survived by his sisters Almedia Mitton of Riverview; Audrey Dawson of Moncton; Ivah Atkinson of
Riverglade, Elodie Dunn (Caleb) of Salisbury his grandchildren Georgie Cail; Tracey Delhunty (Andy); Gary (Kim) Lewis; and Keith (Krista) Lewis; great grandchildren Trevor; Ryan; Joey; Alyssa; Jordan; Nick; Justin; Matt and Brooke as well as many nieces and nephews.

Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton with visiting hours on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be on Wednesday March 26th at 2 pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow in the Family Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

For those wishing, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital--Palliative Care or the Calhoun United Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.

Alderson Henry Englehart

The death of Alderson Henry Englehart, husband of Brenda, of Greater Lakeburn and formerly of Campbellton occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday March 22, 2003. Born in Wyers Brook, NB on October 25th 1917 he was the son of the late Benjamin Henry and Kathleen (Colegate) Englehart.

A veteran of the Second World War he served overseas in
England, North Africa, Sicily, Belgium, Italy and Holland with the 8th Princess Louise NB Hussars where he was mentioned in dispatches. He had retired from the Department of Transportation as a heavy equipment operator after many years of service. He attended St George's Anglican Church and was also a member of the 8th Hussars Association and the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6. An avid gardener he enjoyed the outdoors.

In addition to his wife, of 57 years, Brenda (Hurd) he is
survived by his daughters Thelma Englehart of Greater Lakeburn, Ann Carter (Michael) of Dieppe; Patricia Murray (David) of Titusville; Beryl Savoie (Randy) of Riverview; Betty Englehart (David Walsh) of Edmonton; Pamela Dalley of Dieppe: Kandie Devlin (Peter) of Burton; his son Michael Englehart (Janet) of Greater Lakeburn; his sisters Hope Oulton of Riverview; Joan Whittaker of Hoyt; Alma Moran of Bancroft, ON; brothers Melvin Englehart (Loretta) of Dieppe; Boyd Englehart (Norma) of Main River; Melvin Englehart (Helen) of Robichaud Office, 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother James who was killed in action in Holland in 1944.

Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton with visiting hours Monday March 24th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a Legion Service on Tuesday March 25th at 1 pm in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 1:30 pm conducted by Rev Albert Snelgrove. A reception will follow in the Family Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

Donations may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Building Fund of St. George's Anglican Church or the memorial of the donor's choice.

Ruby Armstrong
1918 - 2003

SACKVILLE, NB - Ruby Armstrong, 84, formerly of Riverview, passed away at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville following a brief illness. Born in Cassilis, NB, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Janie Bateman.

Ruby retired as an Accounting Supervisor at the Co-operators after many years of employment. Ruby was a Past President of the Shediac Lion's Club and loved the many years she spent at her cottage at Shediac Bridge.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Gayle Milburn (Darrel) of Moncton; two sons, Gary MacDougall (Kathy) of Vancouver, BC and Scott MacDougall (Sue Blackman) of Moncton; grandchildren, Laine and Carly MacDougall and Michael (Becky) and Craig Milburn; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Brandon Milburn; as well as her nephew, David Bateman.

In addition to her parents Ruby was predeceased by her first husband Leonard MacDougall in 1981; her second husband, Edward Armstrong in 1987; a sister, Edna Jonah; and a brother, Ralph Bateman.

Ruby was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private, family service will be held at a later date.

Normand J. Saulnier
1947 - 2003

Normand Saulnier, 55, of Mandeville St, Dieppe, passed away suddenly at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, March 20, 2003. Born in Moncton on April 17, 1947, he was the eldest son of William and Annette (LeBlanc) Saulnier.

Prior to his retirement, Normand worked in the composing room of Moncton Publishing for 30 years.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Deborah (Hetherington) Saulnier; his daughter, Renelle Girouard (Dr. Allain) of St. Augustine, FL; two brothers, Paul-Emile (Terry) of Ottawa and Bernie (Dorine) of Saint John; two granddaughters, Sophie and Brielle; a former wife, Marcia Currie of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Normand's wishes there will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ste. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, on Monday, March 24 at 11:00 AM. Following the service there will be a reception at the Club d'Age d'Or.

Donations in memory of Normand may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.

Muriel Elizabeth (Cameron) Merritt

MERRITT, MURIEL E. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March, 19th, 2003, Muriel Elizabeth (Cameron) Merritt of Saint John, NB. Born in Chatham, NB she was the daughter of the late Archie & Mary (England) Cameron.

Muriel will be sadly missed by several family members, including 5 grandchildren, Lois Merritt, Daniel Merritt, Todd Randall, Dale Merritt, Eileen Taylor, 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Frances Merritt.

Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West, Saint John, NB (506-634-1701) from where the service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, March, 23rd, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. Interment will take place later in the spring in Riverside Cemetery, Chatham, NB.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation on Saturday from 3:00 until service at 4:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Homeless Womens Shelter Inc. c/o the funeral home.

Blonda Madeline Walker

The death of Blonda Madeline Walker of Ayer Avenue, Moncton occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday March 19th following a brief illness. Born in Moncton she was the daughter of the late Trueman and Viola (Graves) Walker.

Prior to her retirement Blonda had been employed with Crains for several years. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Following her retirement she enjoyed traveling on bus tours and during the summer months spending time at her trailer in Caissie Cape.

She is survived by her brothers Raymond (Joyce) of Toronto, Herbert (Doris) of Riverview and Tennyson (Hilda) of Moncton, one sister Jean Duckworth of England as well as several nieces and nephews, her dog Mindy and special friends Dot Burns, Joyce Coull and Marjorie Graves.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother Neil Herman Walker.

Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton with visiting at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Friday March 21st at 11 am in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Clair MacMillan officiating followed by a reception in the Family Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

Donations may be made to the memorial of the donor's choice.
