Georgie L. Adcock
ADCOCK, GEORGIE L. - Aged 83, formerly of 30 O'Brien Street, Saint John West, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at Carleton Kirk Lodge after a period of failing health. She is the wife of Cyril J. Adcock of Ridgewood Veterans Wing. Born in North Bedque, P.E.I. she was the daughter of the late William C. and Anna M. (Leard) Schurman.
Georgie was a graduate of Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown, P.E.I.. She worked in Toronto until her marriage in 1949 at which time she and her husband Cyril moved to Saint John. She helped her husband establish K & A Equipment in 1958. Georgie was a member of St. Mark's United Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband Cyril is her only daughter Virginia Brown and her husband Robert of Saint John, one brother William (Billie) Schurman and his wife Lee of Palm Harbor, Florida as well as several nieces and nephews.
At Georgie's request there will no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Private Family Interment will take place at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carleton Kirk Lodge, NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Margaret Maxwell
1937 - 2003
Margaret Maxwell, 65, wife of Frank of Friel St. Moncton, passed away unexpectedly at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, March 13, 2003. Born in Saint John on November 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Upton) Morris.
Margaret was an active member of the CWL, the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch # 6, the Air Force Vet's Club, as well as a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 32 years, Frank C. Maxwell; a son, Peter of Moncton; step sons, Frank and John; step daughters, Heather, Nancy, and Peggy; two brothers, Paul and Gerald Morris both of Moncton; as well her nephew Frank Matheson (Elaine) of Sackville.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road with visiting hours on Sunday, March 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 17 at 3:30 PM at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, with a reception to follow in the church basement. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.

James Howard Fearon
The death of James Howard Fearon of Browns Yard, NB occurred at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital on Wednesday March 12th 2003 following a period of failing health. Born in Bass River, NB he was the son of the late James and Mary (McLenaghan) Fearon.
Prior to his retirement Jimmy had been employed as a truck driver. He was a member of the Browns Yard Anglican Church.
He leaves to mourn his passing one sister Ethel Sullivan (David) of Hamilton, one brother Edward of Bass River, several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Isabel Lloyd of Vancouver and Anne Crumb of Kingsville, ON.
Resting at the Browns Yard Anglican Church on Tuesday March 18th from 11 am to the service time of 2 pm. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will be in the church cemetery later in the spring.

Leo J. LeBreton
LeBRETON, LEO J. - At his residence, on Friday, March 7th, 2003, Leo J. LeBreton of the Loch Lomond Villa, formerly of Watson Street West Saint John, NB. Born in Six Roads, Gloucester Co., NB he was the son of the late Lazare (Larry) and Ensweede (Losier) LeBreton.
Leo spent most of his life in Saint John working with CN Rail and Via Rail for 38 years, the last 5 years with Via as Baggage Master retiring in 1981. He also worked as a Long Shore CPR Trucker and the Saint John DryDock.
His wife Margaret Kathleen predeceased him in May, 1996.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Left to mourn is one sister Delia Duguay of Tracadie and several nephews and nieces, sister in law Hattie LeBreton.
Leo was predeceased by his sister Clara Losier and brother Arthur.
Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West Saint John (506-634-1701) from where the visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 10th, 2003 at 12 o’clock noon from Our Lady of the Assumption Church. The interment will take place later in the spring in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Luise Agnes Doerffler
The death of Mrs. Luise Agnes Doerffler of Moncton occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday March 6th 2003. Born November 20, 1903 in Lahr, Germany she was the daughter of the late Dr. Gustav Kaiser and Agnes (Klein) Kaiser.
Mrs. Doerffler is survived by her daughter Annemarie Debertin of Moncton, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
By request there will not be any visiting hours prior to her funeral service which will be held on Monday March 10th at 2 o'clock in Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton. The family will receive visitors in the Garden View Room of the funeral home following the service. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
Flowers are gratefully declined however donations in Mrs. Doerffler's memory may be made to the memorial of the donor's choice.
Lillian Haggarty
Lillian Haggarty passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday March 1 2003, at the age of 77 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in North Tetegouche, NB July 13, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jane (Power) Haggarty.
She worked with the Bank of Montreal in Bathurst for several years before being transferred to Moncton where she continued her employment with the bank until her retirement in 1982.
She is survived by one brother Raymond (Adrienne) of North Tetegouche and one sister Mary LaBrie of Port Cartier, Quebec, she is also survived by five nephews and one niece of North Tetegouche and two nephews of Port Cartier, Quebec.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers Frank and John, one sister Margaret and one nephew Timmy all of North Tetegouche.
The family will receive visitors at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton on Wednesday March 5th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Peter McKee at Holy Family Church, Falkland Street on Thursday March 6th at 11 am with a reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will be in Bathurst later in the spring.

G. William (Bill) Given
GIVEN, G. WILLIAM (BILL) - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on February 25, 2003 G. William (Bill) Given of Saint John West husband of the late Thyrza V. (Moffatt) Given. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Walter T. and Beatrice E. (Gardner) Given.
Mr. Given was a veteran of World War 2 and served in the Canadian Army with the 14th Field Ambulance Corp. from September, 1939 to December, 1945. He was the Maritime Champion Speed Skater in 1934 to 1935. Bill was an avid sports fan and played baseball, hockey and football. He was a member of the Rothesay Royal Canadian Legion Branch #58 and the Fusiliers Club the Sergeants Mess and Chiefs and P.O. Mess.
He is survived by three sons Bill (Jean) of Saint John, Michael of Rothesay, Rick (Heather) of Kingston Peninsula, three daughters Betty Jane Smith and her husband Lloyd of Saint John West, Joanne Roberts and her husband David of B.C., Sandra Galbraith (Martin) of Saint John, two brothers Donald and his wife Patricia of Saint John David of Quebec, three sisters Elsie Green of Ontario, Winnifred Dobbin and her husband Harry of Fairvale, Audrey Norris of Ontario, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, wife one daughter Margo, one sister Nancy and three brothers Walter, Jack and Robert.
Resting at the Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Funeral service will be held at the "Fallsview" Chapel on Friday February 28, at 1 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery Field of Honor. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family. A tribute to a veteran service will be held on Thursday at 7 PM. at "Fallsview".
