Alice C MacConnell
1919-2007

Alice Constance MacConnell, 88, of Cornhill, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, October 8, 2007. Born in Camperdown, NS, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Laura (Zwicker) Wamboldt. Alice was a member of Cornhill United Baptist Church.

Alice will be sadly missed by her daughters; Nancy Bourque, with whom she resided, Sharon Kearns (Pat), Shediac Cape, Pamela Tibbetts (Terry), Saint John, sons; Stephen (Jeanne), Moncton, David, Saint John, grandchildren; Keith, Laura, Katelynn, Camden, sister Norma Slauenwhite, Bridgewater, NS, brother Ivan Wamboldt (Helen), Bridgewater, NS, several Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Keith on October 11, 1982; son-in-law Wilfred Bourque and sister Ruth Faulkenham.

There will be no visitation or Funeral Service by request. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton.

In Alice’s memory donations to the Cornhill United Baptist Church Building fund or the Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated.

Glen Despres
1968-2007

Glen Charles Despres of Moncton, passed away suddenly with heart failure at the Moncton Hospital on October 7, 2007. Born in Moncton he was the son of Betty (Roach) of Moncton and the late Arnold Despres. Glen was a member of St. Augustines Roman Catholic Church.

Besides his mother Glen will be sadly missed by Brothers Hubert (Shelley), Steve (Tammy); Nephews Devon, Dylan, Justin; Nieces Chelsey, Katie; several Aunts and Uncles; special family friend Fred MacDonald and his many friends. He was predeceased by his Grandparents; James and Bridget Roach, Hubert and Mabel Despres.

There will be no visitation by personal request. Funeral Mass at St. Augustines Roman Catholic Church on Thursday October 11, 2007, 11am, Rev. Bernard Sloan officiating. Reception following the service.

In Glen’s memory donations to the SPCA, Open Hands Food Bank or Chapel Point Cemetery would be appreciated.

Jean Atkinson

Jean Atkinson of Shediac, with her loving family by her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday October, 6, 2007. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Alma (Bowness) Inglis. She was a retired Legal Secretary, member of Trinity United Church, Shediac, former Church organist for over 52 years, member and treasurer of the U.C.W. and member of the Silver Sands Senior Citizens Club, Shediac.

Jean will be sadly missed by her sister, Alma Dupuis, Toronto, ON; nephews, Dr. Douglas (Dianne) Inglis, Shediac Cape; Robert (Cecily) Inglis, Rochester, NY; nieces, Janet (John) Strugnell, Moncton; Norah Jean (Paul) Hartlen, Bathurst; several extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband, W.E. Atkinson; 2 brothers, William and Robert Inglis; 2 sisters, Marion McCoy and Marjorie Inglis; nephew, Robert Dupuis.

No visitation by personal request. Memorial Service at Trinity United Church, Shediac, Thursday October 11, 2007, 2pm; Rev. Dr. Douglas MacEachern officiating. Reception following the service; Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Shediac.

Edwin Delahunt
1920-2007

Edwin Joseph Delahunt, 87, of Sussex and formerly of Waterborough, Moncton and Ottawa, ON, passed away at the Sussex Health Center, on Saturday, October 6, 2007. Born in Moncton he was the son of the Late William and Sally (Donovan) Delahunt. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Mill Cove, he was a Stock and Control Officer at Moncton Supply Depot # 5, and retired from DSS Ottawa.

Ed will be sadly missed by his wife Marguerite (Orchard), daughter Nancy Gordon (late Donald), Ottawa, ON, sons; James Delahunt (Barbara), Moncton, Stephen Delahunt (Donna), Orleans, ON, 8 Grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sisters; Rita Murphy (Late Aubrey), Quispamsis, Anne Provost (Late Gaetan Noel), Mississauga, ON, Sister Florence Delahunt, Saint John, Sister Maureen Delahunt, Emmitsburg, Maryland, brother Dr. Austin Delahunt (Kathleen), Halifax, NS, several Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his 1st wife Mary (Noonan) Delahunt in March 1986.

Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Tuesday October 9, 2-4, 7-9. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, 340 Dominion St., Wednesday October 10, 11:00 am, Rev. Bernard Sloan Officiating. Reception following the mass. Interment in St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Cemetery, Irishtown.

Charles Clark
1912-2007

Charles W. Clark, in his 95th year, of Lutes Mountain, passed away at the Mountainview Relieve Special Care Home, on Friday October 5, 2007. Born in Cumberland Bay, son of the Late George and Martha (Brown) Clark. He was retired self employed in sales.

Charles will be sadly missed by his 2nd wife Hazel, daughter Ruby Barkhouse (Donald), Lutes Mountain, grandchildren; Sally Blades, Lutes Mountain, Julie Rhodey (Duane), Moncton, great grandchildren; Adrian, Drew, Caitlyn, sister-in-laws; Gertrude Boyne (Arthur), Lepreau, Blanche Maxwell (Ross), St. George, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his 1st wife Evelyn (Spear) in Nov. 1995, brothers Walter, Sam, sister Annie.

Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, (858-1995), Monday October 8, 2007, 2-4, 7-9. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday October 9, 11:00 am. Reception following the service. Interment in Cumberland Point Cemetery, Cumberland Point, NB at 2:30 pm.

Richard C. Price
1948-2007

Richard C. Price, 59, of Turtle Creek, with his loving family at his side passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, October 4, 2007. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Annie (Steeves) Price of Riverview and the late Claude Price. Richard was an owner/operator/driver for Keltic Transport, member of Gunningsville Baptist Church, Riverview, member of the Sunday Night Bible Study Group and was a former Greeter and Usher for his church. Richard enjoyed music and was a former member of the Glory Men Christian Group.

Besides his mother, Annie, Richard will be sadly missed by his wife of 41 years, Deborah (Tingley) Price; daughters, Penny MacLeod (Richard), Steeves Mountain, Heather Butland (Ted), Riverview; son, Kevin (Lisa), Turtle Creek; eight grandchildren; sisters, Gwen Tower (Nathan), Wendy Price (Mark), both of Turtle Creek; brother, Dennis (Marion), Riverview; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton (858-1995), Sunday, 2 … 4 pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, October 8, 2007, 2 pm, Rev. Blair Holden officiating. Refreshments following the service.

Nora Sinton
1923-2007

Nora M Sinton, 83, of Moncton, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday October 4, 2007. Born in Moncton she was the daughter of the Late Francis and Ellen (Walsh) McGinnity. She was a member of; St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, the Ladies Regular Dart League, NB Branch Ladies Auxillary War Amputations of Canada and a Associate member of the Air Force Vets Club.

Nora will be sadly missed by her daughter Susan Fairweather (James), Oromocto, son Shawn (Krista), Moncton, Grandchildren; Patrick and Andrew Fairweather, Stephanie and Melissa Sinton, sister Ann McGinnity, Moncton, several Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1987, Sister Ruth and Brother John.

No visitation by request. Funeral Mass at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, Tuesday October 9,2007, 11:00 am; Reception following the Mass. Interment in Our Lady Of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

In Nora’s memory, donations to the War Amps of Canada (Champ Program), Alzhiemer’s Society or memorial of choice.

Sydney R. Wilson
1930-2007

Sydney R. Wilson, 77, of Riverview, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2007. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Myrtle (Lawrence) Cormier of Moncton and the late Clayton Wilson.

Besides his mother, Sydney will be sadly missed by his sisters, Rita Landry (Joseph), Lower Sackville, NS, Kay Landry (Cyril), Saint Eustache, PQ, Thelma Wilson, Mississauga, ON; brother, Dale Wilson (Rose Marie), Moncton; several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Joseph Cormier; brothers, Clarence and Franklin.

In keeping with Sydney’s wishes, cremation to take place. No visitation or funeral service. Private family service to be held. Interment, Boundary Creek Cemetery.

In Sydney’s memory, donations to the memorial of choice would be appreciated.
