Kathleen McNeill
The death of Mrs. Kathleen McNeill (Cameron) occurred on Thursday June 12th, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born May 18th, 1926 in Summerside, Prince Edward Island.
Kathleen was the daughter of the late Rosetta and William Cameron, she is survived by her husband Leonard McNeill, and her two sons; Daniel (Bonnie) and Paul (Theresa) both of Saint John, daughters; Kathy (Brian) Reynolds and Donna McNeill (Kevin), Beverly (Douglas) Chiasson, and Kelly (Jamie) Walsh. Kathleen is also survived by seven grandsons; Danny McNeill, Shane and Andre Chiasson, Christopher and Corey McNeill and Jamie and Jacob Walsh, one granddaughter Jennifer Reynolds. Two brothers; Emmett, and Maurice Cameron of Ontario, several nieces and nephews. Kathleen was predeceased by one daughter, three sisters and a brother.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB. (646-2424) with visitation on Saturday June 14th, 2003 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Assumption Church on Monday June 16th,2003 at 12:00 noon with Father Gerry White officiating. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery on Westmorland Rd. Donations may be made to the memorial of the donor’s choice.
Antonius (Tony) Johannes Janssen
Janssen, Antonius (Tony) Johannes, died peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital June 9, 2003, surrounded by his family. Born in Holland in 1921, Tony immigrated to Canada in 1953 and was a member of the pipe fitters union local 213 since 1958. Tony was an accomplished bowler with St. Anne's League for many years. He also loved to play cards, enjoyed fishing and could often be seen at Tim Horton's enjoying the company of his many friends.
Tony is survived by his wife of 54 years Wilhelmina (Van Boksel) and one son Tony (Cathy MacKellar), daughters Yvonne, Sylvia (Gary Bard) and two grandchildren Joe Cronk and Heather Cronk. Also survived by brother Johannes Janssen and sisters Jov (Harry) Helvoort, Toos (Marius) Heesels and Liesv Laarhoven; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Wednesday June 11, 2003 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow and private service at a later date. No flowers please, donations to Extra Mural or Canadian Cancer Society would appreciated by the family. Tony will be sadly missed by family and friends .
The Ven. Harry C. Quinn
Canadian Flag The death of The Ven. Harry C. Quinn loving husband of Helen (Fraser) Quinn, of Ridgewood Veteran's Hospital, occurred peacefully on Thursday June 5, 2003 at his residence. Born September 18, 1924 in Halifax, NS he was the son of the late Harry P. and Annie (Keddy) Quinn. Ven. Quinn was a veteran of WWII serving in R.C.A.F. as a Flight Engineer, and had missions in Europe.
Besides his loving wife Helen, he is survived by his four sons Peter (Marilyn) of Quispamsis, Stephen of Dartmouth, NS, David of Candiac, PQ, and Andrew of Vancouver; five grandchildren Kelly, Jonathan, Jessica, Mark and Monika; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and several brothers and sisters.
A private family service was held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John on Saturday June 7, 2003. Rev. John Martin officiated the service. Interment took place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, Field of Honour.
James A. (Doc) Miller
The death of Mr. James A. Miller (Doc), of Saint John, occurred unexpectedly on Tuesday June 3, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born September 29, 1940 in Saint John he was the son of the late James and Lillian (White) Miller.
He is survived by his loving companion Pam Palk, of Blacks Harbour, son Wayne (Wanda) Miller of Saint John, grandson Christopher and special aunt Pearl Johnson. Jim was a member of Seaview Full Gospel Church, Back Bay, he drove taxi for 18 years, and retired as a Sanitary Engineer from the School Board District 8 this year.
Resting at Seaview Full Gospel Church, Back Bay, NB from where the funeral service will be held on Friday June 6, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation at the church will be held on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. The death of Mr. George W. Nicolle, loving husband of Geraldine (Payne), of Saint John, occurred on Monday June 2, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born May 27, 1936 in Bonne Bay, Newfoundland he was the son of Harriett (Major) Nicolle and the late Phillip Nicolle.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his sons Anthony (Jackie) of New Market, Ontario, Ronald (Judy) of Saint John, Owen of Ontario and Wade Payne of Trout River, NF; daughters Susan (Raymond) Myers of Saint John and Lamanda Somchanh (Paul Bennett) of New Market, Ontario; brothers Walter (Vida) of Three Mile Rock, NF, Clifford, Wilson (Joyce), James (Laverne), Gary, Ernest all of Rocky Harbour, NF, Wade (Rachel) of Edmonton and Kevin (Karen) of Saint John; sisters Laura (John) of Edmonton, Dora (Guy) Timmons of Saint John, Shirley (Clayton) Pittman of Corner Brook, NF, Linda (Irving) Decker of Rocky Harbour, NF, Dianne Decker of Steady Brook, NF and Eileen Nicolle of Rocky Harbour, NF; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins,nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Raymond.

Marie (Kate) Catherine Gallant
The death of Catherine (Kate) Gallant occurred on Thursday May 29th,2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born April 2nd, 1899 on Prince Edward Island. Catherine was predeceased by her husband the late Emanuelle Gallant .
She is survived by her two sons, Leo and (Eleanor) Gallant of Buctouche Bay and Albert and (Marie) Gallant of Saint John . Seven daughters, Gertrude Morrison, Bertha Paisley both of Loch Lomond Villa, Theresa and (Joe) Blanchard of Saint John, Marguerite and (Earl) Macleod of Nova Scotia , Doris Curran of Browns Flats, Ester McGraw of Saint John and Lorriane and (Murry) Ward of Pocologan. Two sisters, Cecile and Rita,Twenty-nine grandchildren, fifty-eight great grandchildren, Twenty-one great- great grandchildren and one great- great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Kate was predeceased by two daughters, Agnus and Myrtle and two sons Albert and Arthur, three sisters, Dorothy, Elizabeth and Annie and two brothers Amos and Leo.

Sandra Joyce Garnett
The death of Mrs. Sandra Joyce Garnett (Sandy), of Ellerdale Street, Saint John, occurred on Tuesday May 20, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born July 19, 1944 in Saint John, she was the daughter Edna (Northrup) Hanson and the late Roy Hanson. Sandy was an avid bowler for many years.
Besides her mother she is survived by her loving daughters Joy Anne Hansen of Saint John and Shelly Garnett (Russell Works) of Halifax; one brother Ronnie (Connie) Hanson of Saint John; three sisters Carol Hanson of Saint John, Laura (Brian) Hatfield of Saint John and Sherry Hanson of Salisbury; two grandchildren Devon and Brianna Hansen; one uncle and several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Roy, sister Jean McNulty and brother in law Leo McNulty.

Dorothy J. Arbo
Moore, Outhouse, Arbo (Bulloch), Dorothy – The death of Dorothy J. Arbo of Willowgrove N.B. occurred on Sunday May 18th,2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born August 5th, 1916 in Saint John, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband the late Rev. Harold Arbo. She was the daughter of the late Saul and Rubenia (Mcllean) Bulloch.
She is survived by her two sons, Jerry and (Laurette) Moore of Saint John and Jim Moore of Rothesay. Daughter in-law Dorothy Moore of Saint John, one sister Mary Marshall of Willowgrove, twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by a son John, daughter Joan Cook, daughter in-law June, two brothers, William and James and a sister Margaret Bradley. Dorothy was dedicated to her church at the Garnett Settlement Christian Church as a Sunday school teacher and organist, Dorothy also gave private piano lessons.

Ray Donald Murphy
The death of Ray Donald Murphy, of City Line, West Saint John, occurred on Thursday May 15, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born May 24, 1935 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Ida Joan Joyce (Lord) Murphy.
He is survived by one son Shane Murphy of Saint John and one daughter Sherry Vitale of Hampton; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Harold Garfield O'Dell
The death of Harold Garfield O'Dell, loving husband of Harriet (Sprague) O'Dell of Golden Grove Road, Saint John occurred unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday May 13, 2003. Born September 26, 1934 in Clover Hill, NB, he was the son of Jean (Hall) Carton and the late Clinton O'Dell. Harold was an avid outdoors man, he enjoyed walks in the woods, camping and fishing.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children Cathy (Bill) Burns of Black River, Glenda (Mitchell) Harrison of Baxter's Corner, Susan (Paul Comeau) of Saint John and Darrell (Marion) O'Dell of Calgary; seven grandchildren Chris of Edmonton, AB, Shawn, Ryan, Jonathon, Devon, Joshua and Brandon all of Saint John; one brother Randy O'Dell of Calgary; two sisters Dorothy (Les) Stanley of Mississauga, Ontario and Ardis O'Dell of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Clinton, sisters Cheryl and Dianne and brother Daryl.

The death of Mrs. Germaine M. LeBlanc, loving wife of Emile LeBlanc, of West Saint John, occurred on Tuesday May 13, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born May 10, 1928 in St. Ann, NB she was the daughter of the late Elie and Laurette (Lanteigne) Roussel.
Besides her loving husband Emile, she is survived by her children Annette (Tom) Silver of Dartmouth, NS, Leonard (Carolyn) LeBlanc of Saint John, Norman (Nancy) LeBlanc of Saint John, Shirley LeBlanc of Calgary and Dave LeBlanc of Saint John; brothers Venance Roussel and Lazare Roussel; sisters Cecila Leger, Alda Pinet, Irene Bulger, Emelinda Robichaud, Elizabeth Mallet, Amelia Bulger and Elia Roussel; grandchildren Jerry, Robbie, Aron, Lydia and Elsie, great grandchild Tisha Dawn McKenzie. She was predeceased by her daughter Rose, three brothers Rene Roussel, Oneil Roussel, Gerard Roussell.
