At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B., on August 2, 2007, Pearl Elizabeth Libby, of Chamcook, N.B., wife of the late Hiram Libby.; daughter of the late Percy and Florence (Libby) Merchant.
Survived by four daughters, Florence (Ivan) Wallace, of Fredericton, N.B., Donna (Gary) Orr, of Oak Bay, N.B., Betty (Colin) Mitchell, of St. Stephen, N.B. and Dale Watson, of Chamcook, N.B.; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Wilcox, of Chamcook, N.B., and Violet Leavitt, of Bocabec, N.B.; two brothers, Solomon Merchant, of Oak Bay, N.B., and Wallace Merchant, of Chamcook, N.B.; several nieces and nephews.
Rested at The S.O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B., from where the funeral service was held on Monday, Aug. 6, 2007 at 2 p.m. Visiting hours were held at the funeral home on Saturday and Sunday, August 4 and 5.
Interment in St Andrews Rural Cemetery, St. Andrews, N.B.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
Woodland, Dorothy Bernice
Dorothy Bernice Woodland (née Purcell) passed away quietly in the early hours of Thursday morning, Aug. 2, 2007 after a brief battle with cancer. Now in the care of God, she joins her mother and father, Paul and Eunice Purcell of Milltown, N.B., and her husband, Harold Woodland, of St. John`s, Nfld.
Survived by her son, Stephen Woodland and his wife, Leslie Guyatt, of Ottawa, Ont.; three granddaughters, Christine Guyatt-Woodland of Ottawa, Ont., and Nancy McKeown-Woodland and Stephanie McKeown-Woodland, of Peaceful Valley, Calif.; and many relatives and friends, including Ron, Patsy, Adam, Amy and Allison Theriault.
Longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Pythian Sisters.
You were dearly loved and will be missed by so many.
No visitation will be held by request.
Memorial service was held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B., at 4 p.m., Saturday August 4, 2007.

L'Aventure, Sarah Elizabeth
Sarah Elizabeth L’Aventure, 22, of Deep Cove, Grand Manan Island, N.B., passed on to the angels in her mother’s arms, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B. A child of God has gone home in peace. She will forever be missed and loved by her family at the Grand Manan Nursing Home.
She is survived by her mother, Dora McLaughlin, of Grand Manan, N.B.; her father, John L’Aventure, of Saint John, N.B.; her aunt and uncle, Brenda and James McLaughlin; cousins, Todd, Peter, Toby, and Robyn McLaughlin, all of Grand Manan, N.B.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Elizabeth and Glen McLaughlin; and also her favourite aunt, Ruby Cleland.
Sarah’s family received friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 12.
The funeral service and celebration of Sarah’s life was held from the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church on Monday, Aug. 13, 2007 at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Donald Ingersoll officiating. Interment followed at the Hillside Cemetery, Seal Cove.
The family has requested donations may be made to the Grand Manan Animal Rescue League.

McKay, James Emerson
At his residence, Deer Island, N.B., on August 8, 2007, James Emerson McKay, son of the late John and Virginia (Wilson) McKay.
Survived by his common law wife, Sheila McKay; two foster sons, Robert Leslie (Katrina) and Merle Leslie (Cindy), both of Deer Island, N.B.; six grandchildren, April, Jenna, Blake, Jodie, Kyle and Liam; three sisters, Wilma McCartney, Elmsville, N.B., Phyllis Milligan (Gordon), Inverness, P.E.I., and Shirley Tatton, Elmsville, N.B.; one stepbrother, Vernon Boyle; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents; step-father, Henry Boyle; his common law wife, Pearl Calder; six brothers, and two sisters.

Survived by his wife, Barbara (Calder) McConkey; two sons, Donald (Anne), of Tower Hill, N.B. and Dana (Gail), of Dufferin, Charlotte Co., N.B.; three grandchildren, David, Paul and Michael; one aunt, two cousins, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held from Christ Anglican Church, Prince William Street, St. Stephen, N.B., on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Peter Davids officiating.
Interment will follow service in the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.

Lister, Patricia Marie
It is with great and deep sadness, the family announces the passing of Patricia (Pat) Marie Lister (MacLeod) of Harvey, N.B., on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007 at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B. Born in St. Stephen on April 8, 1955, she was the daughter of Arnold and Margaret MacLeod of Tower Hill, N.B.
Pat is survived by her parents; her loving husband of 30 years, Vernon, of Harvey; three daughters, Virginia Jackson (Jason), of St. Stephen, N.B., Margaret and Katherine, of Harvey, N.B.; one son, Daniel (friend, Kendra Dickison), of Fredericton, N.B.; one grandson, Connor; two sisters, Carol Sutherland (Ronnie), of Rolling Dam, N.B., and Anne McConkey (Don), of Tower Hill, N.B.; two brothers, George MacLeod (MaryAnne), of Tower Hill, N.B., and Robert MacLeod (Alana), of Tower Hill, N.B. Pat will also be missed by several aunts and uncles, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
Pat graduated from NBCC St. Andrews and dedicated 30 years at the Charlotte County Hospital as a Health Record Technician.
Pat was committed to the knowledge and strength of her family. She always had a smile and a heartfelt sincerity for the people that she loved within her family, church, and community. Pat was committed to helping others, including the coordination of canvassing for the Canadian Cancer Society in the greater Harvey area. She was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star, including Past Matron.

Visitation will be held at the Saint Andrews United Church, 2350 Route 3, Harvey, on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 7-9 p.m., and Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 12:30-2:30 and 7:30-9 p.m.
The Eastern Star service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m., with Rev. Kay Clowater officiating.
Interment will be at the Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Reception to follow at the church hall.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Coburn, Wayne Fox, James Painter, Stuart Swan, Randy Watson, and Allison Wood.
Arrangements are in the care of Swan Funeral Home, Harvey Station, N.B.
