Mr. Stanley C. Watts
May 4, 1918 - August 4, 2007
Stanley C. Watts of Moncton, passed away at the Veterans Health Center in Moncton on Saturday, August 4th 2007. Born in Hampshire, PEI, he was the son of the late William and Ada (Leightizer) Watts. Stanley attended St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and was retired from the CNR after 46 years, having spent time in Charlottetown, Edmunston, Truro, Moncton and Saint John. Stanley was a member of Coverdale Lodge # 51 F & A. M., Riverview; a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Scottish Rite Harrington Chapter, Moncton Lodge of Perfection; also a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch # 6. A Veteran of the Second World War, Stanley served overseas with the Cape Breton Highlanders from 1939 to1945. He leaves to mourn, his son Gary (Claudette Boucher) of Montreal, Que. He was predeceased by his wife Edna (Docherty) and daughter Geraldine. There will be no visitation prior to the Memorial Service to be held from the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road on Thursday, August 9th at 11:00 am. A reception for Stanley’s friends and family will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations to a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated.

Mrs. Nora LONG
July 6, 1935 - August 5, 2007
Long, Nora passed away at her residence on Sunday, August 5, 2007 with her beloved family by her side.
Wife of Murray Long for 51 beautiful years.
Born in Holland on July 6, 1935, a daughter of the late William and Arendje Vanzeyl.
Besides her husband, Murray, Nora will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grand children and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements entrusted with Castle "Fallsview Chapel" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue (634-1701).
In respect with Nora's wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation and burial will take place at a later date. Remembrances in memory of Nora may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Price, Rhoda (nee Court) passed away peacefully, at QHC-Picton Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Everett Price. Loving mother of Ward Price (Juanita), Ruth Brown (Tom Tyson), Lee Price (Evelyn) and Mary Brinklow (Dale). Dear sister of Leona Price and the late Dora, Myrtle, Lila, Herbert, Charlie, Carroll and Graham. Dear Gramma of 12 and great grandmother of 13. Sadly missed by her brother in law Dougall Price, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Emily Pitcher, 81 of Riverview, passed away surrounded by her loving family at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, August 6th, 2007. Born in Parsons Harbour, NFLD, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Peters) Knott. She is survived by her loving husband Malcolm Pitcher, two daughters Diane (Daryl) West of Dartmouth, NS, Cathy (James) Cook of Riverview, NB, 4 grandchildren, Keri, (Mike) Hart, Matthew Cook Riverview, NB, Erin and Sara West, Dartmouth NS, one sister, Evelyn Shirley, Charlottetown, PE, and brother Leonard (Florence) Knott of North Sydney, NS. She was predeceased by her two sisters Hilda and Irene, and her two brothers Maxwell and Edward. There will be no visitation prior to the Memorial Service to be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 13th at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 28 Woolridge Avenue Riverview. Family flowers only. A reception will follow the service in the church hall. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

S/Sgt., Retired, Regimental #21774 Cyril Ward Dominie
February 8, 1939 - August 12, 2007
passed away in Moncton, NB on Sunday, August 12, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his daughters Susan (Ken) Spenceley, Charlottetown, PEI and Laura (Jerred) Brown, Hagerstown, Maryland USA, sister Kathleen (Harold) Pike of Dartmouth, NS. He is also survived by his special friend, Barb Chambers who selflessly cared for Dad not only in the early days of his sickness at home, but even after he was admitted to the hospital for the last time, sitting with him for countless hours. Cyril protected the highways of New Brunswick and Newfoundland throughout his fulfilling career as a proud member of the RCMP during his postings in New Brunswick at Bathurst, Moncton, Hampton, St. George, Sackville, Fredericton and in Newfoundland at Holyrood and St. John’s before retiring after 34 ½ years of service in 1995. Cyril was a true highway patrolman throughout his career and was a pioneer in the implementation of the Breathalyzer instrument, roadside screening devices and accident reconstruction programs in the mid 1960's. Throughout his service he maintained a strong presence on the highways he policed and lead by example. Upon his retirement he had attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and was the Traffic Services Supervisor for the Province of Newfoundland. Besides woodworking and always having a project on the go, he devoted many hours volunteering in the community of Holyrood in activities such as the Children’s Santa Claus Parade and the Crystal Carnival Winterfest. He was given the honor of Citizen of the Year by the town of Holyrood in 1992 for these and many other efforts and initiatives. Upon his retirement from the Force and subsequent return to Moncton in 2001 he became involved in the RCMP Veteran’s Association and was serving as Vice-President until June 2007. Although his career was always foremost in his mind, when he became a Grandfather he took the role seriously and now leaves behind many treasured memories for Sarah and Hannah Spenceley, and Jack, Gabriella, and Olivia Brown. Visitation at Fair Haven Funeral Home, on Friday, August 17, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Memorial Service to be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 2pm with burial to follow at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. The family would appreciate donations to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital Oncology Dept. or to the Palliative Care Unit. Mr. Sterling "Bill" Mollins
May 9, 1911 - August 22, 2007
Sterling Moore Mollins, husband of Florence of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Born in Cherryvale, Albert Co. May 9th, 1911, he was the son of the late William and Mary (McLeod) Mollins. In the 1940's & 50's Bill worked in the Lumber Business in NS as a Wood's Operations Manager for Eddy Lumber Co. He later became self-employed as a Building Contractor, Real Estate Land Developer & a Grocery Store owner. Bill enjoyed hunting and the woods of Albert Co. His passion was Maple Sugar Making with his brothers and brother-in-law Ron, and he loved his vegetable garden tremendously.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Florence (Geldart), sons David (Jean), Dwight (Cheryl), sister Katherine Colpitts (late Alden), grandchildren; Brian, Paul, Randy, Blaine, Ian and Krista, 16 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by brothers Alfred, Elton, Austin, sisters Eva Crandall, June Conway, and Grace in infancy. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visiting hours on Friday, August 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and Saturday morning, from 10:30 to 11:00 am at Allison Baptist Church. The Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 25 at Allison Baptist Church 1539 Salisbury Road. A reception for Bill's friends and family will follow the service in the church hall. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the Allison Baptist Church or a memorial of the donor's choice. Malcolm Charles BURCHILL
November 23, 1938 - August 22, 2007
Malcolm (Mac) Charles Burchill passed away unexpectedly at his residence on August 22, 2007.
Born on November 23, 1938 in Saint John, son of the late Charles and Sarah (Burgess) Burchill. Mac was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was a graduate of St. Malachy's Memorial High School in 1957 and retired from the position of Auditor at National Revenue after 28 years. He was a life member of the New Brunswick Dart Association and a member of the executive of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch#69.
Mac enjoyed his home and garden and spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Marie (Dempster); 3 sons, Patrick (Karen) of Saint John, Christopher (Kelly) of Saint John and Jeffrey (Carrie) of Dryden, Ont.; 2 daughters, Katherine (Jim) Maber of Rothesay, and Heather (Mike) McDonald of Rothesay; 9 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; mother-in-law, Anne Dempster of Saint John; brother-in-law, William Dempster of Saint John; 2 sister-in-laws, Betty (Terry) Shorey of Dieppe and Susan Dempster of Vancouver; and a special cousin, Robert (Ann) Turner of Ottawa.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his father-in-law George Dempster and a brother-in-law Art Dempster.
Resting at Castle Funeral Homes, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave, visitation will take place on Friday, August 24, 2007 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a Legion Service at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007 from Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.
Donations in memory of Mac may be made to: The Diabetes Association or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
