Deborah (Debbie) Harrison
1959-2016
Deborah Ann Harrison (Debbie), 57, of Elgin passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at her residence.
Born in Mapleton, she was the daughter of Lester Harrison and the late Marguerite (Middleton) Harrison. Debbie was a homemaker and she enjoyed knitting, reading and was never at home due to her love of travel. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
She is survived and sadly missed by her daughter Tracy Harrison (Charles); granddaughters Alexis and Abbygail; brothers Carl Harrison and Rick Wilson and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her mother she is predeceased by her brother David Harrison.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Tuesday, December 27 from 6 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Wednesday, December 28 at 2 pm. Interment at Harrison Mountain Cemetery.
If desired, memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
Dorothy Vera Pevlin
Mrs. Dorothy Vera Pevlin, of 476 Route 890, Smith Creek, NB, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on July 9, 2003 at the age of 62. Dorothy was born in Saint John, NB on July 7, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Bertrum and Margaret Ann (Dodd) Winchester.
Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband Hazen, 2 daughters; Linda Klein and her husband Gerald of Sussex, Cherie Ewart and her husband Brian of Sussex, 3 sons; Randy and his wife Shirley of Colina, Vincent and Flo of Hampton, Sterling and his wife Natalie of Kingston Peninsula, her brother, David and his wife Joanne of Saint John, 2 sisters: Margaret LeBlanc of Roachville, Margaret Boscoe and her husband Roy of Upham, 12 grandchildren; Jonathan, Jeremy, Carrie-Lynn, Tammy, Stephanie, Taner, Amanda-Dawn, Lindsay, Gary, Gregory, Kent and Kirk, 4 great grandchildren; Jordan Julie, Trisan and Rilee, several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was predeceased by a sister Davidina Owens and by a brother Bert.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and Foster Parent. She was devoted to them and to her many animals
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Friday 2-4, 7-9 pm. The Memorial Service is from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 11:00 am. A private family interment will take place at Kingston Peninsula Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
George Pickett
1930-2017
George Fleming Pickett, 86, of Steeves Mountain and formerly of Corn Hill passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 surrounded by his family at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Corn Hill, he was the son of the late Lewis and Ethel (Hunt) Pickett. George was a farmer, a member of the River Glade Baptist Church, a member of the Westmorland-Kent United Baptist Association and former member of the Camp Wildwood Men's Committee. He spent most of his life in Corn Hill where he enjoyed family, gardening and nature in his quiet, gentle manner.
He is survived and sadly missed by his children Bethany Hunt (Randy Ward) of Moncton, Bill (Mary McKendy) of Riverview, Robert (Judy) of Corn Hill and Penny Milbury (Bruce) of Lewis Mountain; sister Ruth Tomkos (Tom) of Saint John; brother Robert (Barbara) of Lower Coverdale; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Gladys (DeMille); brother Lewis and his wife Susan and great granddaughter Eva Leslie Clark.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Monday, February 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel Tuesday, February 21 at 11 am with Pastor Dennis Smith officiating. Interment at Goshen Cemetery at a later date.
If desired, memorials to the Goshen Cemetery or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
A scent free environment would be appreciated due to severe allergies.
Leona Douthwright
1915 - 2002
Leona Douthwright, of Picadilly passed away at Sussex Health Centre on November 7, 2002. Born in Parsboro, Nova Scotia on May 14, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Ella (Walton) Douthwright and the beloved wife of the late Benjamin Douthwright who passed away in 1947.
Leona is survived by 2 Daughters, Bernice Wheaton of Sussex, Marilyn Flowers and her husband Wayne of Picadilly, 2 Sisters, Francis Douthwright of Elgin and Ruby Wilson of Elgin, several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Clifford and by a daughter, Betty, 2 Brothers, John and Leslie and by 2 sisters, Adeline and Irene Douthwright.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at 10:30 am, with Pastor Gordon Walker officiating. Interment at All Saints Cemetery, Churches Corner.
Pallbearers will be Brad Philips, Brent Wheaton, Brian Wheaton, Jamie Chetley, Freddie Wheaton and Kirk Wheaton.
Dorothy O'Blenis
1931-2011
Dorothy Gertrude O'Blenis, 80, of Salisbury, quietly passed from this earth into her loving Saviour's arms on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, surrounded by her family at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Williamsburgh, NB, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Gertrude (Turnbull) Harris. Dot was a homemaker and loved her family very much. She was proud of her children and grandchildren and delighted in holding her great grandchildren. She loved to travel and spent many winters in Florida. Dot was active in the Salisbury Baptist Church.
She was a loving wife of 63 years and will be missed by her beloved husband Everett; children Lee (Brenda) of Moncton, Brenda Atkinson (Terry) of Fredericton, Jeffrey (Shirley) of Boundary Creek., Peter (Peggy) of Sackville, NS and Bruce of Fredericton; grandchildren Erin, Luke & Kevin, Andrew & Charity, Nathan, Curtis & Mitchell, Nina & Michael and Katelyn & Ben; great grandchildren Dania, Hannah & Eden, Gavin & Josie and Skyler & Cooper; sisters in law Lillian Harris, Lillian O'Blenis, Louise MacVicar and Lauranna (Sis) Bleakney; Aunt Violet Dewitt; stepbrother Bill MacVicar; stepsister BettyAnn MacVicar and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Dot is predeceased by brother Donald Harris and step brother Bob MacVicar.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Thursday, November 17 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9. The funeral will be held from the Salisbury Baptist Church on Friday, November 18 at 2 pm with Rev. Rob Nickerson officiating. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.

Betty Charters
1939-2012
Betty Eileen Charters, 73, of Second North River passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at her residence.
Born in Orangeville, ON, she was a daughter of the late Garnet and Georgina (Morris) Clarkson and step-daughter of the late Gloria Clarkson. Betty was a caregiver and outreach caregiver with the Jordan Memorial Home. She enjoyed stock car racing with her family at the local tracks and drove in the Powder Puffs Division.
She is sadly missed and survived by her beloved husband of fifty-five years Robert; children Terry (Bev) of Upper Coverdale, Larry (Louise) of Moncton, Lauretta Charters at home, and Michael (Becky) of Irishtown; grandchildren Todd, Jason, Richard, John, Crystal, Brett, Zachery, Amy, and Liam; great grandchildren Tiana, Tori, Keith, and Christopher and several great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Also survived by brothers Robert Clarkson of ON, and Gary Clarkson of Missouri, and sister-in-law Phyllis Charters of Moncton. Predeceased by grandson Bradley Charters; sister Marilyn Scott, and brother-in-law Keith Scott.
Family will receive relatives and friends at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800), Wednesday, December 12 from 7 - 9 p.m. There will be no service by request. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery.

Earl T. Steeves
1934-2012
Earl Travis Steeves, 77, of the Jordan Lifecare Center and formerly Forest Hill passed away at his residence on Thursday November 22, 2012.
Born in Forest Hill he was a son of the late Bliss and Mona (Steeves) Steeves. Earl was a lifetime woodsworker who enjoyed being out with nature.
Survived by his wife Marion (Fran), children Karen Simmons (Ellis) of Moncton, Katherine Cameron (Michael) of Riverview, Kimberley Steeves (Beverly) of Edmonton and Lewis Steeves (Cindy) of Calgary, Jeffrey Steeves (Hectorine) of Bathurst; his sister Louise Lane of the Glades; five Step-children; fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived also by the mother of his children Shirley Fowler. Predeceased by his parents, his step-father Vernard (Bernie) Steeves; daughters Patricia Steeves and Pamela Reid.
The funeral will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Monday November 26 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Blair Holden officiating. No visiting hours by request.Interment in the Parkindale Cemetery.
