Michael Young
1997-2017

Michael Thomas Young, 19, of Salisbury passed from us and has left our hearts broken, but his spirit will be free. Born in Moncton, raised in Salisbury, a son of Karen (Adgey) Young of Salisbury and Terry Young of Newfoundland. He was a graduate of JMA Armstrong High (2016) while working at Spencer Memorial Home and after graduation was employed with Loblaws at their warehouse. Michael enjoyed paintball with his teammates and music but most of all was content in the company of his friends and family, especially his little sister Megan.
Surviving, besides his parents, his beloved sister Megan, maternal grandfather Thomas Adgey (Polly), paternal grandparents Goodwin and Netta Young, aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends, especially Justin. Predeceased by his maternal grandmother Nancy Adgey.
A service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Friday January 20, 2017 at 7 p.m. with Pastor Tim McKinnon officiating. At the reception to follow we will be sharing memories and will share his memory uniquely.
If desired, memorials in Michael’s memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.

Deborah Wortman
1957-2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Lynn (Steeves) Wortman, 54, of Boundary Creek, Thursday, August 2, 2012 following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Moncton, Debbie was a daughter of the late Nelson and Hilda (Russell) Steeves. She was a graduate of the former Salisbury High School. With her keen mind and organizational skills she was a valued former employee of Robin Hood Foods, Blackwood Hodge and Carson Construction. Along with her husband Bruce, they grew a large vegetable garden, preserving great quantities of fruit and vegetables to be shared with family and friends. She was very much a home body but enjoyed spending time visiting her daughters and snuggling with her little granddaughter. Debbie also loved family get-togethers, baking a birthday cake, a good jigsaw puzzle and was an opponent to be reckoned with in a game of scrabble. Her mom and grandfather were her respected role models which made her the person she was. Although very strong, her gentle, caring and giving heart is what she will be remembered for.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 37 years Bruce; daughters Dawn Russell (James) of Fredericton Junction and Ashley Wortman (Jonathan Millar) of Moncton; her very special granddaughter Claire; sisters Shirley Egerton (Ray), Sharon Davis (Darryl) and Cheryl Wilband (Terry Lavoie); father and mother-in-law Malcolm and Joyce Wortman and their family and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Sunday, August 5, 7 - 9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel Monday, August 6 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Irving officiating. Interment to follow at Boundary Creek Cemetery.
