Colby Willard Yeomans

Peacefully, with his family at his bedside, Colby Willard Yeomans, husband of Isobel (Greig) Yeomans, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on September 11, 2002. Born in Dutch Valley, NB on July 4, 1930, he was the son of the late Herbert J. and Edna M. (McFarlane) Yeomans.
Besides his wife Isobel, he is survived by his daughter, Lisa Nelson and her husband Mark and granddaughter, Lesley of Walkerton, Ontario, his son, Lt. Wayne Yeomans and his wife Tina granddaughter, Addison and grandson, Brayden of Oromocto, NB, 1 brother, Lloyd and his wife Bunty of Mississauga, Ontario, 4 sisters Mary Lawson and her husband Stewart, Lorna Quartermain of Rockville, Edris Attwood and her husband Jim of Islington, Ontario, Betty Stewart and her husband Doug of Dutch Valley, sister-in-law, Marilyn Yeomans of Fredericton, NB, 6 nieces, 8 nephews.
Colby was predeceased by his brother, Bob Yeomans and his nephew, Mark Quartermain.
Colby was a member of St. Paul's United Church, having served on the Board of Stewards and as an Elder; member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 20, Sussex; a member of the Korea Veterans Association; member of Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians) Association; member of the Royal Canadian Dragoons Association; member of the 8th Canadian Hussars Association (Militia); He served 32 years with the Royal Canadian Armoured Corp. Colby served in Korea with the Commonwealth Division, he served 3 tours of duty in West Germany with NATO and in Egypt with UN. He was Regimental Sergeant Major of the Royal Canadian Dragoons, of the 4th Brigade in West Germany, of the Armour School at Base Gagetown, the Canadian Contingent in Egypt and Combat Arms School at Base Gagetown. He was a member of the Board of Advisors Wallace Funeral Home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday 7-9, Saturday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Sunday, September 15, 2002 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Philip Dallimore officiating. Interment at Trinity Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Paul’s United Church or the memorial of donors choice would be appreciated by the family.

Jennifer Keirstead
1993-2014

Jennifer Susan Keirstead, 21, of Salisbury passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 6, 2014.
Born in Fredericton, she lived her life and attended school in Salisbury and graduated from Petitcodiac Regional School. A member of Salisbury Baptist Church, she enjoyed playing the piano and composing her own songs, writing poetry, sketching and loved dogs, cats and horses, especially her beloved Skip. She was recently employed at Winners Department Store in Moncton and took great pride assisting her customers. Jennifer struggled for several years but was determined to come through the darkness of addiction and dreamed of one day helping others in their battle.
Survived and sadly missed by her parents David and Darlene (Gillcash) Keirstead; her maternal grandparents Norman and Phyllis Gillcash; her Aunt Gloria Beverley (James) and Uncle Lorne Gillcash (Linda) and their families; her paternal grandparents Herbert and Shirley Keirstead; her Uncles Bruce (Debbie) and John (Karen) and Aunt Anne Keirstead and their families and by extended family and many good friends. Predeceased by her Aunt Karla Gillcash.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Wednesday, September 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, September 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Respectfully the family have requested a private funeral.
If desired, memorials in Jenn's memory to Portage Atlantic, P.O. Box 339, Norton, NB E5T 1J7 or your local food bank would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Frances M. Marr-Northrup
1932-2013

Frances Marie Marr-Northrup, 80, of CornHill went home to be with her Lord on July 12, 2013 at the Briarlea Home, Moncton with family by her side.
Frances grew up in Midland, Kings County a daughter of the late DeWitt and Ella (Bissett) Johnson. Upon graduation from high school she taught school for three years and met her husband, Daryl while in CornHill, marrying in 1953 and settled there where they farmed and raised their five children. She was very active in the Women's Institute, Women's Missionary Society, in later years the CornRidge Seniors, Cornhill and Hillgrove Churches (where she was organist), attended Petitcodiac Baptist Church. She loved her Lord, Music, Church Choir, Volunteering, Bowling, Crokinole, Scrabble, Fishing, Gardening and Traveling. Frances was a remarkable person who loved God, her family and everyone around her. She was very generous with her time and a great steward of what God had entrusted her with. She was not shy and had a zest for life that was memorable to those who knew her well. As her sister Barb said, "She was fearless"!
A widow for many years after losing her husband Daryl in 1986, she married in 2002 and is survived by her husband Allen Northrup; her children Donna Cowan (Paul), New Minas, Bill (Tobi) of Riverview, Andrew (Beth-Anne), Sackville; daughters-in-law Jennifer Rossiter, Moncton, Michelle Gilmore, Steeves Settlement; step-sons David Northrup (Deborah), Stillwater, N.S., Harvey Northrup (Darlene), Fort MacMurray AB and their families. Survived also by cherished grandchildren Nathan, Joshua, Virginia, Ali, Joel, Ken, Elise, Erica, Tiffany, Alexander, Josiah, Kiahna, Isaiah and Elijah; great grandchildren Hannah, Kaitlyn, Heather, Harlow and Micah; sisters Helen Graham (Doug), London, ON., Barbara Sowers (Gerry), Chatham, ON. her brother Bliss Johnson (Vivian) of Norton and by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceasd by her first husband Daryl; sons Harley and Steven.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Petitcodiac Baptist Church Tuesday, July 16 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Woodworth officiating. Interment at the CornHill Baptist Cemetery.
If desired memorials to Crandall University or the CornHill Baptist Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.

Sheila Cochrane
1934-2013

Sheila May Cochrane, 79, of the Jordan Lifecare Center and formerly of Salisbury passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at her residence.
Born in Moncton she was a daughter of the late Hazen and Florence (Atkins) Hiltz. Sheila was a retired clerk with Stedman's V& S and enjoyed knitting, gardening and yard sales. A former volunteer with the Salisbury St. John Ambulance she had served as District Superintendent.
Survived and sadly missed by her children Debbie Hudson (Dale) of Indian Mountain, Reginald of Moncton, Norman (Carolin) of Monteagle; grandchildren Jamie Fowler (Jody) and Carlee Cochrane; great grandchildren Landon, Dakota and Jaxen. Survived also by a sister Joan Maynard of Ontario, brother in law Lloyd Russell of Salisbury and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Merle (2006); sisters Joyce Russell and Leta Taylor.
The Funeral will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Wednesday, July 10 at 11 a.m.with Rev. Dan Compton officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury.
If desired, memorials to the Friends of the Jordan Lifecare or Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Ronald Mills
1949-2016

Ronald Delbert Mills, 67, of Petitcodiac passed Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Sussex Health Center.
Born in Kinnear Settlement, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Almon) Mills. Ron was self employed and was also a truck driver. He enjoyed working in the woods and gardening.
He is survived and sadly missed by his brothers and sisters June Mills, Moncton, Carl Mills (Pam), Kinnear Settlement, Larry Mills (Sue), Forest Glen, Jean Flett (Donnie), Moncton and Fred Mills (Diane), Kinnear Settlement; sister-in-law Anna Mills, Forest Glen and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Gerald and sister-in-law Judy.
Resting at Armstrong's Funeral Chapel, 33 Russell Street (756-3361) visiting is Thursday, December 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. By personal request there will be no service.
If desired, memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Association or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

William Allen
1925-2013

William (Bill) Albert Allen, 88, of the Jordan LifeCare Centre and formerly of River Glade, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at his residence with family at his side.
Born in England, he was a son of the late Raymond and Ellen (Dickins) Allen. He was a retired building contractor and also worked for Co-op Atlantic for twenty-five years. Bill was a member of the River Glade Baptist Church and was a long-time deacon, treasurer and held many other positions. He was a member of the River Glade Seniors, Friends and Neighbours, a longtime pitcher for the River Glade Ball Team and he was also an avid gardener.
Survived and sadly missed by his children Ken (Mary) of Salisbury, Doug (Diana) of River Glade, Kathy Hopper (Arnold) of Sussex and Sherry Seely (Grant) of Petitcodiac; grandchildren Jeff, Scott, Troy, Kris, Michael, Eileen and Kirk; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife Edith and brothers Frank, George and Thomas.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Saturday, December 21 at 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Dennis Smith officiating. Interment at River Glade Baptist Cemetery.
If desired, donations to River Glade Baptist Church, Jordan LifeCare Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Ian MacDonald
1934-2016

Ian Charles MacDonald, 82, of Boundary Creek passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
Born in Charlottetown, PE, he was the only son of the late Charles L. and Lillian (Murray) MacDonald. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, third degree, Council #7940 Moncton, and did a lot of volunteer work for St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church. Ian had many loves including his wife, his faith (St. Bernard's, St. Augustine and St. Jude's) and his passion for singing with the Barbershoppers (Gentlemen of Harmony). Being from the Island, he was never shy and enjoyed meeting and talking with people.
He is survived by his wife Helen (Dawson); special friend Reg Arsenault; two brothers-in-law and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by sisters Elizabeth, Elaine, Janet, Thelma and Sheila. Ian was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Monday, October 17 from 6 to 9 pm with Parish prayers and sharing of memories at 8:30 pm. The funeral will be held at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church Tuesday, October 18 at 11 am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
