Keith Haley
1933-2015
Keith Ivan Haley, 81, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Hillsborough, he was the son of the late Walter and Ella (Steeves) Haley. Keith was self employed.
He is survived and missed by his wife Elizabeth (Steeves); children Larry (Joanne) of Salisbury, Denise Haley of Fredericton, Pamela Baggett (Don) of North Carolina and Lisa Lowe (John) of Saint John; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister Kathleen McConnell of Moncton and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Rebecca O'Brien Shaw, Doreen Prentice and Mabel Lewis and brothers Vincent and Dean.
There is no visiting or funeral by request. There will be a graveside service at a later date.
If desired, donations to the NB Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.

George William Chestnut
June 21, 1918 - December 22, 2001
Mr. George William Chestnut, formerly of Urney, NB, passed away at Ridgewood Veterans Wing on December 22, 2001.
George was born in Smith Creek, NB on June 21, 1918. He was the son of the late Robert Chestnut and Ida Mabee, He is survived by his beloved wife Margaret (Hersey) Chestnut, 2 Daughters Ann Mallory and her husband Raymond of Poodiac, Sarah Mallory of Smith Creek, 5 sons; David of Urney, Ken and his wife Brenda of Toronto, Ronald of Saint John, Stephen of Toronto, Cecil of Vancouver, a brother Donald of Newtown, a sister Edris Anderson of Sussex, 16 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews.
George was predeceased by his son George, his sister Hazel, his brothers Ken, Earl, and Cecil.
He served overseas during WWII in the Canadian Army and he was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20 who will hold a tribute on Sunday evening at 6:45pm.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Sunday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Monday, December 24, 2001 at 2:00 pm, with Captains Don and Sandra Roswell officiating. Interment will follow at Newtown Cemetery.
Donations made to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Atwood Leaman
1945-2015
Atwood Gerald Leaman, 70, of Colpitts Settlement passed away peacefully Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Ferndale, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Helen (Bannister) Leaman. Atwood was a truck driver and a member of the Petty Trail Blazers ATV Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved music and Tim Hortons coffee time with friends.
He is survived and sadly missed by his wife Edith; daughters Shelley Leaman (Danny Crandall), Parkindale, Kimberly MacCallum (Stephen), Colpitts Settlement and son Arthur (Tracy), Colpitts Settlement; grandchildren Chelsey, Wyatt, Stephanie (Brad), Seth (Katie), Katelyn and Kylie; sisters Doreen Theoret (Mario), Petitcodiac, Pauleen Ryder (Loyl), Salisbury and Elda Chown (Rick), Elgin; brothers Russell Leaman (Ruth), Ferndale and Mellish Leaman (Marilyn Bishop), Salisbury; Aunt Gertie Taylor, Ontario and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Wednesday, October 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel Thursday, October 22 at 2 pm with Pastor James Hammond officiating.

Lloyd McCordic
1938-2015
Friends and neighbours of Killams Mills and surrounding area were saddened to hear of the passing of Lloyd Ronald McCordic, 77, Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital. He was the son of the late Arnold and Florence (Weston) McCordic.
Left to mourn are his wife of forty years Marilyn (Perkins); children Patricia Layton (Brian) of Moncton, Elizabeth Olszewski (Tom) of Saskatoon, SK, Connie Veilleux (Stephane) of Gatineau, QC and son Lloyd Arnold of Edmonton, AB; step-sons Stephen Ryder (Karen) and Bradley Ryder all of Havelock; many grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by brothers Clifford, Henry (Barbara); sisters Dolly and Shirley.
He was employed for many years with Burgess Construction and Callaghan Contracting. He enjoyed working in his garden and helping his neighbours far and wide in whatever projects they were involved in. He was a long time member of the crib league of Petitcodiac and played in Havelock for several years.

Michael Geldart
1943-2015
Michael Ronald Geldart, 71, of Middlesex passed away at home Wednesday October 7, 2015.
Born in Yorkshire County, England he was a son of the late Walter and Peggy (Willows) Geldart.
Survived by an Aunt and cousins, he was predeceased by a brother Darryl.
A Graveside service will be held Tuesday October 13 at 11 a.m. at the Forest Glen Cemetery.
If desired memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated.

Stewart Perry
October 5, 1929 - November 26, 2002
Mr. Stewart Perry, of Perry Settlement, NB, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on November 26, 2002.
Born in Perry Settlement, NB on October 5, 1929, he was the son of the late Samuel C.P. and Cora Annie (Cochrane) Perry.
Stewart is survived by his sister-in-law Margaret Perry of Saint John, 2 nephews Brian and his wife Janice and Stephen and his wife Ann both of Quispamsis, 2 grand nieces Natalie and Sara and 1 grand nephew Daniel. He was predeceased by his brother Austin. Stewart was last surviving member of his immediate family.
Stewart was a dedicated farmer and enjoyed his work until the past few months, he was former treasurer of the Union Cemetery, Head of Millstream and a member of the Head of Millstream United Baptist Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday 2-4, 7-9p.m. The Funeral Service will be held from Head of Millstream United Baptist on Thursday, November 28, 2002 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Allison MacLean officiating. Interment at Union Cemetery.
There will be a time of fellowship with the family at the Berwick Recreation Center following the committal service.
Eldon Hopper
1928-2011
Frank Eldon Hopper, 83, of The Glades, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy illness, Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born February 21, 1928, Eldon was the only son of the late Frank and Carrie (Geldart) Hopper. He worked at the Jordan Memorial Sanatorium for 46 years, many of those years as Laundry Foreman. Eldon was a faithful church worker who loved his Lord. He was a long time active member of The Glades Baptist Church serving on several church committees. He served as treasurer for approximately forty years of the Central Committee for The Glades Baptist Pastorate which consisted of the four Baptist Churches: The Glades, River Glade, Middlesex and Forest Glen. He was responsible for financial affairs for the Pastor and maintenance of the parsonage. Eldon worked several seasons tearing tickets at the River Glade Speedway which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also enjoyed yard, craft and woodworking sales and auctions. Other favourite pastimes included travelling, gardening, picking berries and fiddleheads and hunting. A very kind and quiet man, he was a friend to all. A loving son, husband, father, grandfather and uncle, he was faithful about attending events with his family such as sporting events and music lessons.
Eldon, a loving and devoted husband of 61 years will be missed by his wife Gloriana (Thorne); daughter Janet Hopper-Ansley (Stephen) of Tofino, BC; sons Arnold (Kathy) of Sussex, Ron of Moncton, former wife Ginny Hopper of Salisbury and Andrew (Helen) of Picadilly; 1 granddaughter Natasha Hopper of Moncton; 2 grandsons Kris and Michael Hopper of Quispamsis; niece Doreen Prosser of Petitcodiac; nephew Wayne Smith of Fredericton and cousins. Besides his parents, Frank and Carrie (Geldart) Hopper, Eldon is predeceased by an only sister Hazel (Currie) Smith; father and mother in law Beecher and Minnie (Taylor) Thorne and nephew John Smith.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Friday, November 11 from 3 - 6 pm and from where the funeral will be held Saturday, November 12 at 2 pm with Pastor David Evans officiating. Interment will be at The Glades Baptist Cemetery.
